Beirut Truck Bombs

| October 23, 2022

On 23 October 1983, two truck bombs struck buildings in Beirut, Lebanon, housing American and French service members of the Multinational Force in Lebanon (MNF), a military peacekeeping operation during the Lebanese Civil War. The attack killed 305 people: 241 U.S. and 58 French military personnel,
and six civilians.

The first suicide bomber detonated a truck bomb at the barracks building for the 1st Battalion 8th Marines of the 2nd Marine Division, killing 220 Marines, 18 sailors and 3 soldiers, making this incident the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States Marine Corps since the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II.

Minutes later, a second suicide bomber struck a few kilometers away where the French contingent was stationed: 55 paratroopers from the 1st Parachute Chasseur Regiment and three paratroopers of the 9th Parachute Chasseur Regiment were killed and 15 injured.

Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the bombings. A US federal judge has ordered Iran to pay damages and interest to the families of 241 US soldiers killed in the 1983 attacks.

Thank You, AW1Ed, for the reminder.

Sadly, some took this incident and made it THEIR story…turns out they were Military Phonies…

Remember this guy?

This one is interesting…

Hack Stone

That’s the guy that Hack Stone personally knows from Okinawa twenty some years ago.

The memories…
“…[F]ormer Airman James Fritch in Plainfield Connecticut lied about being in Beirut.”

It’s hard to believe that was 6 years ago.

All of these Phonies INSULTED the Families of the 305 who lost their lives.

That is the LOWEST one can go…especially to those who were POWs and their Families.

Daniel Wall is still rocking the lie on his Facebook page, but you’d think that if someone were “trapped in the rubble” they’d have the date correct. He confuses the US Embassy bombing on 18 Apr 1983 with the Marine Barracks bombing on 23 Oct 1983. *SIGH*

“Dis-guarded”? Did he want to be like trash that was guarded?

Also, when someone mentions “Near Death Experience”, I’m thinking along the lines of the spirit leaving the body, then being told that it was not his/her time yet.

This trash is guarded trash can trash disposal garbage.jpg

You go, possum!

Must be PTLSD?

PTSD made him eat pizzas without cutting them into slices?

Only Army Mom

I’ve met a couple posers of Beirut. The first was a con man/grifter who tried to scam an NGO back in the 1990’s. That was his least outrageous claim. He was Black, said he was Jewish, Masters in Statistics from UW Madison, Army Ranger and a millionaire. The feeble-ba$tards-inc got very interested in him.

Second was a few years back, barstool bragged at a local watering hole. Two actual Marines made him cry and wet himself. In front of everyone. Never saw him again.

Rest Easy, Warriors. We have the watch. Never forget.

It seems as if Middle Eastern peoples just enjoy killing one another. Been like that since Cain picked that rock.

We’re only a couple days away from the anniversary of the Grenada invasion that occurred right after Beirut.

RIP CPT Michael F Ritz USA ’77

RGR 4-78

Rest in Peace.
Never Forget.

Scotty Priest is my favorite Root faker out of all the selections.

He’s a bad motherfucker that’s all business. Heard Dave Mustaine got the idea of calling Megadeth’s album “Killing is my Business, and Business is Good” after hanging out with Scotty Priest.

Maybe it was Judas Priest. Anyway, don’t fuck with Scotty. He was in the tree line after all….

USMCMSgt (Ret)

I have a copy of the (now) unclassified (and unredacted) investigation of the bombing, with the list of all those deceased and survived. Not one phony, nor the unit they claimed, are in it.
