ICC Wants Taliban Arrested for Being Taliban
International Criminal Court issues arrest warrants for Taliban leaders, accusing them of persecuting women

The International Criminal Court on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for two top Taliban leaders, accusing them of persecuting girls and women in Afghanistan.
The pair are suspected of “ordering, inducing or soliciting” the persecution of girls, women and others who don’t conform with the Taliban’s policy on gender, the ICC said in a statement.
Haibatullah Akhundzada, supreme leader of the Taliban, and Abdul Hakim Haqqani, chief justice of the hardline Islamist group, are “criminally responsible” for carrying out persecution on gender-based grounds since “at least” August 15 2021, the ICC’s chief prosecutor said back in January.
The Taliban called the arrest warrants “nonsense,” writing in a statement that it does not recognize the ICC.
Since seizing control of Afghanistan in August 2021, the group has implemented a string of oppressive measures against women and girls, even cracking down on the sound of women’s voices in public.
Girls have been barred from education after sixth grade. Women must veil their bodies and wear a face covering at all times in public, and have also been forbidden to look at men they are not related to.
“While the Taliban have imposed certain rules and prohibitions on the population as a whole, they have specifically targeted girls and women by reason of their gender, depriving them of fundamental rights and freedoms,” the ICC said on Tuesday.
That ICC, they don’t miss much. This will doubtless cause the Taliban to change a fundamental tenant of their brand of Sharia Islam and turn over the offending leaders to the international courts. Human Rights Watch international director Liz Evenson stated that the arrest warrants could “provide victims and their families with an essential pathway to justice.”
Exactly how this would occur was left unsaid.

The U.S. doesn’t participate in ICC games, largely because how the ICC prosecutes cases, which run afoul of the Constitution (e.g., lack of due process rights, allowing errors of fact, allowing hearsay evidence, etc.,)
IIRC, around 2017 the ICC wanted to investigate U.S. servicemembers for alleged war crimes related to missions in Afghanistan. The U.S. government told the ICC to go f@ck themselves.

Would the Supremacy Clause override any ICC desires, or is it exclusive to the relationship with the States?
My uneducated guess is States.
The ICC can only enforce its will with the resources and the voluntary cooperation of its member states. It also can’t take action against a state itself, although the leaders of states (countries) are all fair game.
Back in 2020 we were pretending we were “winning” the war and made believe that women were allowed to get an education without getting their heads chopped off. Then came the great reality check of 2021, that made Ron Paul look 100% prescient.
Make that ICC = International Cluster Cucks.

I took a few minutes to look up the ICC, IMO it looks about as powerful and competent as the United Nothing. What do they do when a warrant is issued, send a letter and ask the perp to turn him or herself in? Ditto on convictio0ns, do they just send out a letter saying they’re displeased?
As I understand it, any country that agrees to play along with the ICC would arrest the person with the warrant if they visited their country, and extradite the person to stand trial. I don’t know if they hold trials “in absentia” of a person.
