Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. At valorguardians.com (“TaH”) we have a few fundamental principles that we follow:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our site.

It is TaH’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you.

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.

TaH collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments. TaH only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who comment on our blog to provide a username and email address. Again, we collect this information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with TaH.

We don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law or to protect our rights.

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we’ll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

Comments and other content submitted to the Akismet anti-spam service are not saved on our servers unless they were marked as false positives, in which case we store them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.

Ads and Cookies

Ads appearing on TaH may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you (Google ads, for instance).

This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by TaH and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers on TaH.

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. TaH uses cookies to help track visitors, their usage of TaH, and their website access preferences.
TaH visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies, with the understanding that certain features of TaH may not function properly without cookies enabled.

Social Media

We may allow you to “like” TaH or comment on TaH content using an account you use with a social network or other third-party, such as Facebook. (“Social Network Account”). In such instances, you are granting us access to certain information regarding your Social Network Account (e.g., friends, mutual friends, contacts, etc.). We do not use that information except for the allowances necessary to use TaH.
Depending on the privacy settings you have set in your Social Network Account, personally identifiable information may also be shared with other users of TaH (Your picture, etc..).

Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these third-party sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

Opt-Out

You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired TaH experience, and parts of the website may not “work”.

Your continued use of our website will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information. If you have any questions about how we handle user data and personal information, feel free to contact us.

This policy is effective as of 6 July 2018.
