Veritas Omnia Vincit Article- Mueller Hearings

mueller

VOV is working on an essay about the Seventh Amendment to the Constitution, but like most he became engrossed in the Mueller debacle happening in the halls of Congress. Unlike most, he put his thoughts down and sends them to us for our perusal and enjoyment. Here’s VOV:

The continued waste of time known as the Mueller Report.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

I am taking a short break from the Amendment series as the Mueller testimony was most interesting in what it didn’t reveal to change the report but what it did reveal about the purported author of said report.

I suspect all of you have by now at least heard some of the testimony from the other day. You know the testimony that Democrats so fiercely hoped would finally provide that smoking gun of criminality to one Donald J. Trump. As we’ve seen previously the Democrats have been trying every move they can think of to move that needle. After two and a half years the best they’ve come up with is about 95 votes out of 435 to move impeachment forward.

I’m not sure what anyone else expected from Mueller, but if you’ve been reading anything about the man, the myth, the carefully crafted legend one thing should be crystal clear about Mueller. Since the early days of his civilian government career this is a guy who has proven very capable at making sure he never leaves a trail that leads to a different conclusion than the one he set out to make. The Mueller report is classic in this regard, full of “we think this” or “we think that” and really quite short on “we know this” or “we know that”.

In spite of all the claims to the contrary the only thing Mueller has been able to prove is some people like to lie to investigators and Paul Manafort is a money laundering turd, which I believe was common knowledge for years. Democrats pressed Mueller to find something to move forward with their impeachment fantasies. Republicans countered with questions reinforcing the ambiguous nature of the report’s findings. The sturm und drang all revealed nothing that we didn’t already know about our President, he’s not a particularly honest man….I’m shocked by that revelation, aren’t you? If we knew nothing about Trump the reality star or Trump the businessman we certainly knew he was a compulsive liar. He lies as easily as most men change their socks. He lies when there isn’t any need to lie, if he isn’t the biggest liar we’ve had in the White House he is definitely a contender. That didn’t seem to matter to his voters when given the choice between him and the queen of liars, Mrs. Clinton. So thanks Mueller for underlining what was pretty obvious about this guy from the first time we met him.

What the report, and Mueller’s testimony, never discover is where the crimes are. Where the collusion lies that was the basis for the entire investigation.

What the testimony revealed to me however was far more telling than the report itself or the Democrats feeble attempts to make something out of whole cloth. That revelation came during the exchange between Representative Steve Chabot and Mr. Mueller where we discovered that the man whose name is on the report has no idea what Fusion GPS is, or who Glen Simpson is and that those facts are beyond his purview.

Now that was interesting to me. We the people have financed a 50 million dollar investigation that lasted the better part of two years and the guy running the investigation and whose name is on the report has no idea that the people who turned over the Dossier at the heart of the investigation were originally hired by the Democrats and he is unclear on the name of the organization and its founder.

Excuse me here, but what? No, really what the actual fuck are we supposed to believe here? That the epicenter of this investigation into collusion is completely unknown to Mueller? That he has no idea what’s in the report that has his name on it?

Was anyone else surprised at how often Mueller seemed less superman and far more decrepit old man confused by the questions?

If the Democrats pursue impeachment proceedings after that debacle on Wednesday I wish them good luck in 2024 because they will have given away their chances in 2020. Based on that testimony and the overall lack of conclusions in the Mueller Report I stand by the idea this was a massive waste of money and time. Nothing new in DC, but this one played out daily for all to speculate until it now sort of fizzles and sparks out into relative nothingness.

As always thank you for your reading, what were your takeaways from the testimony? What did I miss that you found revealing.

Let me know your thoughts,
VoV

Thanks VOV. I was just reading how Nadler et al intend to continue going full retard and initiate an “impeachment investigation,” whatever that is. First thing they want are all the Grand Jury materials that the Justice Department denied them the first time. And likely will this time, too.

This was never a “Mueller Report”
This was the insurance that was widely
Talk about at the DOJ
and was never intended to investigate
Russian meddling in our election
But as always the republicans sit on there ASS
While the Democrats pull there bullshit stunts
I’m amazed no one is being held responsible for what happened
I gave trump a 50/50 chance of winning a re-election
Most Americans are like cows they like being lead
As far as the so called Mueller report
When are these unethical turds going to be investigated
Never is the answer

Skippy

And Never is the reason why I think trump may lose this election
It gives low info votes the feeling that the Dem are right
And the republicans are full of shit
They sit on there ass’s and do nothing
As always

…and was never intended to investigate Russian meddling in our election…

The investigation into Russian actions was extensive, actually. There’s two sections to the report, the first of which is on Russian interference, and the second is on obstruction. This first section is pretty detailed and has ~200 pages worth of details on what the investigation found. It’s fairly thorough, in so far as non-classified intelligence goes.

You can love the President. You can think the Democrats are assholes. You can think Mueller is a moron. But they did indeed investigate Russian operations into our elections.

In fact, one of the striking things to come out of all of this is the timeline of what we’ve heard about Russian operations penetrating state elections. Back in 2017, we learned that a whopping two counties in Florida had their voting machines attacked. Big deal, right? Just two counties. Later that year it was ‘corrected’ to all counties, but hey, big deal, it’s still just Florida, and nothing was penetrated. Then the following year it was, “OK, several states were attacked, not just Florida, but none were penetrated..”. Then that ‘several’ was upgraded to ‘half’. Then we found some of them were penetrated. And now we know all 50 states were attacked.

Surely that’s something any American, from whatever political ideology, can see is problematic? And the current administration admits these attacks are ongoing now, too.

” But they did indeed investigate Russian operations into our elections.”.. Only insofar as it related to President Trump. As was made clear in the hearings this week, they did not look into Russian meddling AT ALL (unless Meuller was lying) when it comes to Fusion GPS, the Steele Dossier, Hillary Clinton / foundation / uranium one deal…

“Then we found some of them were penetrated. And now we know all 50 states were attacked.”
And this happened under who’s administration? with who as Secretary of State?… More things that are ignored, or left unsaid, and instead of putting out these facts, once again, the left blames President Trump.

LC

The Left blames Trump for everything, and the Right blames Obama and/or Clinton for everything. It’s completely and utterly pointless.

What’s more important right now – pointing fingers, or fixing the issues? Call me crazy, but I’m all for the latter. And to fix something, you need to understand it first. Skippy seemed to be implying that the investigation had nothing to do with Russian meddling, but it clearly did. What’s important now is what we do with that information.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that if securing our elections (as best one can) guaranteed President Trump a second term, I’d still be for it in a heartbeat. This is principle over party, as it always should be.

Fyrfighter

I agree 100% on your last statement, and without a doubt, we should ALL work to prevent actual interference in our elections. In that lane, I’d suggest we ensure that the people building / programming our voting machines are not people who would wish to allow such interference, nor are they connected to those who would. This should also include voter ID, and all other reasonable measures to prevent fraud.
A reasonable person should also look at the intent of the meddling. Is it actually to favor one candidate over another, or is it simply to sow discord and lack of confidence in the process… if that is the case, we must also ensure that we don’t assist those doing the meddling, by, say, spending years trying to blame someone for something..
The reality is that our enemies have always tried to mess with our elections, this is nothing new, and we should all take it seriously, and work to prevent it having any impact in the future (we’ll never stop them from trying). In addition, if we’re going to complain about others becoming involved in our elections, we probably should not mess with the elections of other countries (like maybe Israel?)..

As to what Skippy was implying, I have my thoughts on that matter, but I won’t presume to speak for him.

Mason

We wouldn’t even have the potential for foreign or domestic hacking if we went to paper ballots. At least then when there’s some corruption in counting them, it’s corruption at the local level. Easier to root it out at the local level than the national.

Fyrfighter

You’re not wrong Mason

Thunderstixx

Go back to paper ballots, nationwide. Then there is no doubt about it and ensure that those ballots are guarded by actual law enforcement officer and that any boxes of ballots found in the trunk of cars, under stairwells etc are not counted. If they aren’t delivered with the first load of ballots, they are void.
LC ignores that fact, but it’s always the left wing klownes like larsy-boi that tell us that they found all these miraculous ballots and that no GOP candidate could ever win or never can win, ever because people are too stupid to vote if they vote for anyone like #PresidentTrump !!!
Boy, did he have a hell of a week or what !!!!!

Fyrfighter

speaking of the seagull / fart goblin, he hasn’t been around much lately.. guessing he’s too busy going balls deep for Bernie again? or maybe he’s helping rename all the “man” crap in berkley…

A Proud Infidel®™

Oh yeah, THAT guy, I kinda remember him now.

The Other Whitey

The “investigation” was very carefully limited to ensure it could only find out things the dems wanted it to find, if those things existed at all.

How could the investigation have any legitimacy if the investigators never checked out their source material?

Skippy

Your idea of what was in the report is a joke the people on the special consul team
Was a who’s who of DNC insiders what a joke
And hear say is no a investigative tool but gossip
I’ve read this report twice and it’s junk
Tump deserves what he is going to get
He’s a moron
He’s had two years to expose Obama’s dirty
DOJ and has done nothing typical republican do nothing attitude
The mueller report is a total piece of crap and nothing more

Poetrooper

“You can love the President. You can think the Democrats are assholes. You can think Mueller is a moron. But they did indeed investigate Russian operations into our elections.”

I don’t love the President–I simply despised the alternative more in 2016 as was frequently attested to here on this forum. I don’t think Mueller is a moron, merely a man past his serviceable shelf-life, a figurehead RINO picked to lend legitimacy to a political assassination attempt by a Deep State Hillary hit team.

And no, I don’t agree with you, LC, that this team investigated Russian operations into our elections. What they DID investigate was ways to tie Russian operations to the Trump campaign. As Mueller’s pathetic testimony revealed, clearly there was no investigation into the actual conspiracy between the Clinton campaign and the Obama administration to enlist Russian aid in undermining Donald Trump both pre and post-election.

I know you pride yourself on your non-partisan “objectivity” but sometimes your attempts to demonstrate it here at TAH leave you looking less than impartial, as above, and perhaps worse, gratingly too eager to establish your neutral bonafides for whatever reason. TAH is a warrior forum where neutrality is not a widely held, nor would I imagine, a widely admired position.

As for Russian interference in our elections, might not a good first step to halt that be for the US to cease all its own efforts to undermine internal Russian elections?

And a further thought on that is that it would surprise me not at all if the true perps behind much of that activity weren’t actually the Israelis, masking themselves as Russians. After all, Israel possesses a quite capable cyber force and is the only nation in the world for whom the election of another Democrat president could be an existential threat. Obama’s Iran deal was warning enough of that possibility.

Skippy

Poetrooper
Your right about the israelis
Hacking the DNC everyone knows it but for some odd reason wont talk about it
And yes we have spent 50 million plus disrupting Russian elections
They at lest on Facebook maybe 10 bucks in ADs
And it the end of the world
The thing that bothers me and many out here in flyover country
is Hillary is still walking free !!!!
Serrously WTF !!!!!
Many I’ve talked to wonder why with all the evidence !!!!!!
I remember talking to Jonn telling him after the election
There was going the be a rough patch because
She was throwing a temper tantrum because she lost
He didn’t seem to think so
When are heads going to roll ????
Probably never unless you are a republican who supported this idiot
How about the senate convene a investigation into what a fraud this
Special Counsel was ????
I’m done with trump but I really don’t he a choice
Because everyone else running for office seems to genuinely hate this country
I’m so tiered of the Dems blaming everyone or calling them racist
Everyone is sick of it, it is refreshing to see someone Aka trump calling
Them out
But when are heads going to roll ????

I’m done with my rant my kids are crawling all over me now
Just a thought from a idiot

Mason

I feel bad for Mueller in a way. The way you end your 50 years of public service is as a bumbling, mumbling, stumbling, incompetent old man in front of congress.

Mason

I’m sure he was. He just didn’t come off as competent. Made the Mueller report look even worse.

I’m sure the Democrats would now prefer he hadn’t testified. Just like they wish he hadn’t written the Mueller report. The whole thing “was not a witch hunt”, but then goes on to detail the investigation’s with huntiness.

Fyrfighter

I don’t… Your assessment of him is correct, but he willingly signed on to be a hit man for the dims, to try an find dirt on the President, so he brought this on himself.

The Other Whitey

Wasn’t he a major player in the Whitey Bulger Protection Society? I’ll reserve my sympathy for those more deserving.

rgr769

Yes he was. He wrote several letters to the federal parole authorities to keep a couple of Whitey’s enemies imprisoned for murders they didn’t commit, but were in fact committed by whitey’s hit men, with the connivance of one or more FBI agents.

Good write up VOV. We needed a short break after that ball busting session that Hondo assigned. Our school day is now filled with Civics, Nuclear Physics, science, Math, Geography, and History. Guess the underwater basket weaving and gender studies class will be extra-curricular activities.

I settled in to call myself to watch this fustercluck. BP was already climbing during the opening statements and Rawhide was coming up on the ME TV, followed by a JAG Marathon advertised to feature Sarah MacK. No contest. Mueller lost out to Sarah.

On the whole subject of Federal Government in our country of late, I’ll just leave this here:

Where is Jack Ryan and a pissed off JAL Pilot when you need one?

If such a disaster occurred today, the country would likely come apart, catastrophicly.

Ex-PH2

I have seldom been as bored silly with Congress as I was with this. Wishful thinking and venal hatred are insufficient to get the job done, so the dumbocraps go this route, wasting time and tax money in what is, as someone else once said much ado about NOTHING.

Unless you have solid evidence of criminal activity, as happened with Assange and that creepazoid Army guy turned publicity hound slattern, please stop wasting tax money on T-W-A-D-D-L-E!!!!

Is this supposed to be payback for the House Unamerican Activities and Joe McCarthy? Because if that’s the idea, it failed.

And in regard to womanizing, lying, colluding and all the rest of it, name any of those dumbocrap Congress creatures that DO NOT DO THAT!!!!

The impeachment vote call by Al Green – 3rd time, too – failed 332 to 95 because it is baseless and they all know it.

STOP WASTING MY TIME AND TAX MONEY. YOU ALL DESERVE TO BE TURFED OUT TO THE CURB AND FIRED ON THE SPOT.

David

The Republicans have in general been content to allow the Democrats to initiate issues and lead the discourse, at best reacting to whatever bait the Dems throw out there. How many elections has that cost them?

Harry Truman once said that Trump lied so much, that if he caught himself telling the truth he’d have to tell a lie real quick to make up for it. Oh, wait, he was talking about Nixon.

rgr769

If anyone here wants to know what the so-called Mueller investigation was all about and what started the whole op back in early 2016 or late 2015, I suggest you read Sundance’s website “conservativetreehouse.com.” You might then find out from his laborious analysis of the documents already in the public domain that Mueller was selected by the “small group” (key honchos in the FBI, DOJ, and CIA) and the band of D-rat lawers who would run the “investigation.” Mueller was picked because he was supposedly Caesar’s wife (beyond reproach) and to lend his name and be the face of the op. Mueller wasn’t running anything. Weisman and company were running him. That is why he never heard of Fusion GPS or Glenn Simpson. That is why he had to have his Deputy Dog sitting next to him. Weissman only met with Mueller about four times; but he had over a hundred meetings with Deputy Dog. What does that tell us about who was driving the boat on the op.

Fyrfighter

Dammit rgr, now I’ve got another daily read to keep up with…

Bill R.

The only thing the Mueller testimony proved was that Muller did not write his own report, Mueller did not have control of the day to day investigation, and all those millions spent were a total waste. If Mueller were my father I would take his car keys.

Twist

“Was your investigation hindered in any way”

Robert Mueller “no”

That right there should be the end of the talk about obstruction, but it won’t be.

rgr769

But, but there was attempted obstruction because Trump had the audacity to fight back when he was being framed for something he knew he didn’t do. See,he was guilty of thought crime for thinking he was innocent. Who’d a thunk it is now “1984.” He should have confessed his thought crimes like Winston Smith did at the end of that book/movie.

So, VOV, Trump is a compulsive lier?

Would you care to mention and numerate those supposed lies?

I wouldn’t call him a liar, but he is certainly guilty of over use of hyperbole and exaggeration. Which his opponents call lies.

Crikets, crikets, VOV’s a ….

Let no one forget that Robert Mueller was there at the meeting where operation fast and furious was authorized.
Remember that?
That’s the scandal where straw buyers of guns were deliberately allowed to bring them into Mexico without interdicting them at the border.
An American Border Patrol Agent was eventually killed with one of them and Attorney General Eric Holder was found in contempt of congress for refusing to turn over documents related to the scandal.

SFC D

We’re still a bit pissed about that in southern Arizona. Obama and Holder still need to answer for his death.

A Proud Infidel®™

The same shit-for-brains liberals still screeching about “collusion” are the same ones wanting illegal aliens to be allowed to vote, who’s REALLY int foreign intervention in our elections.

Liberalism is truly a Mental Disorder.

rgr769

Always has been. One has to believe in a pack of obvious untruths to be a progtard crypto-commie. It is one of those “who you going to believe–Big Brother and the party or your own lying eyes and ears?” moments.

RetiredDevilDoc8404

Something occurred to me in the wee hours of the morning while one of the dogs was out taking a nadler in the backyard. The dummycraps claim Trump is an illegitimate president because of the interference in the 2016 election, right? But according to the testimony this past week the Russians are still interfering and nothing has been done about it? Using their logic and applying it equally doesn’t that also mean that all the dummycraps that are sitting in DC from the 2018 are equally illegitimate, and Bella Pelosi is an illegitimate House Speaker? They really can’t argue with their own logic…or can they?

Poetrooper

The operative term there, Doc, is “logic” and it is not one with which Democrats are familiar, either in theory or practice.

But I do like the way you think…

Fareed

If they were ever serious about the Bureau investigating Soviet meddling, Bobby Hansen has plenty of free time.

Instead we got two years of Mooler’s Noodles trying to pressure folks into suicide like he did to Bruce Edwards Ivins.

Honor and Courage

I’m old enough to know that the USA invented election Interference. They should know how to stop it! Its all disinformation for something else.
The investigative reporting is DOA, and the Media is to stupid to be serious anymore. I will keep my rucksack packed tight and ammo dry. It looks like we are falling apart at the seams. So much for Retirement and the Golden years
