Army COVID Retreads
Army reenlists nearly two dozen soldiers ousted for refusing COVID-19 vaccine
By LOLITA C. BALDOR
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Army has reenlisted more than 23 soldiers who were discharged for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine, officials said Monday, rushing to implement President Donald Trump’s order that troops be rehired and given back pay.
Three people rejoined active duty Army service, and more than 20 came back either to the National Guard or the Reserve, the Army said. The soldiers have signed their contracts and were sworn in, and the active duty troops were reporting to their units, the Army said.
None of the other services has completed reenlistments yet, but all are reaching out to former troops.

Those who may have been attracted by the offer of back pay will likely get far less money than they initially thought when Trump announced his plan. Under the details of the Pentagon offer, any wages earned during their time as civilians would be deducted from the back pay total, along with other payments they may have received.
Penalizing potential re-ups by deducting civilian pay for making a living after involuntary discharge, really? This smacks of the old Bait-and-Switch tactic made famous by used car salesmen. As for “rushing to implement” at the risk of public math this represents ~.27% of the total number of service members affected. Still staying away in droves, and none can blame them. Full back pay and allowances, rank commensurate with peer group and records expunged are what is needed. An apology wouldn’t hurt either.

Real slick army tactic
Long and short of it. They got demonized and shoe horned out the door with a quickness because they refused a bullshit ‘vaccine’ and now they are expecting the droves to beat a path back to service? Nah…fuck that.
Everyone that comes back gets to give Dark Vader a shot of the “vaccine” lets see what several dozens of doses of that stuff does to him. He gets a dose for every one that comes back. Asshole did not stick up for the troops, now he can get stuck by the troops.
I LIKE the way you think!
Where daHell is a shocked face when I need one? Musta lost my last one in my barren field, located just on the other side of The North Wall when I turned it into a kill zone.
Not surprised at the low response, nor the Army’s ‘scr3w U’ tactics when it comes to financing.
Not much has changed since Kipling’s day:

First time I heard that was at TBS in 2000 when the commander there was Col. John R. Allen – of whom you may have heard. He read that to the class and it really helped me become the Kipling fan I am today. We all thought he’d be Commandant someday. . .
Too bad he was caught diddling the help.
Ugg. Just read this on the knower of all things – Wikipedia:
Very sad to see such a lapse in judgement.
Wait, those who refused didn’t all died?!
I was promised a severe winter of illness and death!!!!!
A “dark winter” was talking about recruiting and retention efforts….
Really? With all the mountains of cash wasted by government entities to study menstrual cramps in ‘ Trans Women ‘ you’d think compensating these troops for their retarded failed policy would be just a drop in the bucket. Throw them a bone FFS
It’s bad optics, but I’m looking at it from the perspective of every soldier who didn’t want the jab but took it in the interest of “following orders” or as a sacrifice they were willing to make to stay in uniform.
They can’t un-jab themselves. They had to endure the rest of Brandon as CiC. They continued to do the job and received nothing beyond their entitled pay and less-than-even-army-standard chow.
Nothing against the guys forced out who opt to come back – their lives weren’t easy and they often had to take jobs beneath them just to make ends meet. Far too many forced out didn’t survive the transition. Yet, the ones coming back getting back-pay for time when they weren’t working…. One or two may be sacrificing better pay for the opportunity to serve again, but I doubt the vast majority coming back found better pay on the outside.
If I were one who stayed after getting a jab I never wanted, only to learn my former peer is making every dime I earned over those years – plus whatever else they earned for themselves in the interim… that I could have had a three-year paid vacation for disobeying orders AND earned some extra driving a Lyft the whole time…. My motivation might take a nose-dive.
I’m not saying I agree with that perspective, but the green weenie fucks everyone, often.
