John Adams; the phony SEAL update

| February 27, 2018

Late last year we wrote about John Adams, who claimed to be a Navy SEAL. At the time, the Navy told us that they had no record of his service. Well, today they changed their mind with no prompting from us.

He had four years of service, with intermittent Non-Judicial Punishment and finally he was barred from reenlistment. Most importantly, he wasn’t a Navy SEAL – our original contention. He was an Airman Apprentice (E-2).

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Shack!

AW1Ed

Awarded the coveted RE-4 reenlistment code after rocketing up to E-2 in only four years. Low speed high drag!

11B-Mailclerk

RE-tard?

AW1Ed

Navy used to use reenlistment codes (RE) to document a service members eligbility for retention, codes 1-4. RE-4 was ‘shitcan now with no chance of further enlistment.’

Atkron

They don’t do that anymore?

FuzeVT

They do still in the Marine Corps, in any case.

FuzeVT

Check out Appendix D here:

http://www.marines.mil/Portals/59/Publications/MCO%201040.31.pdf

(Page 81 in the PDF)

AW1Ed

I would certainly hope so. Been out of that game for quite some time now.

NHSparky

They were when I got out.

Coveted RE-1R, meaning they’d take me back, but only as a nuke, and once you’ve been out more than a certain period of time (3 years, IIRC), then forget it.

Old Burned Out 1SG

My Grandson is a RE-4. Nuff said about him.

11B-Mailclerk

It would appear that my attempt at humor fell rather flat…

Graybeard

Even Bob Hope had a bomb every once in a while.

Then he fired that joke writer.

Skippy

Wait a minute. I know Army is different then the Navy but when they retired me my
214 has a separation code of SEJ And a RE of 4
Under narrative reason it says disability, permanent (Enhanced)
Also line 18 they ramble about what happened
Does that make me a Turd ?????
or are there different types of RE 4 codes ???

AW1Ed

Of course not. It really means you are ineligible for enlistment, doubtless due to your physical disability. Airman Apprentice Adams here got his while perfectly healthy, and I imagine his discharge shows it.

Skippy

I’d love to see his separation code they used on him
I’ve been busy filling out paper work on a jack-ass
That was giving the boot in the sand box,
He’s trying to get his dishonorable discharge upgraded
I’ve had to do 4 telephone interviews with two groups
Of people on that. he had a RE code of 4R I’ve never heard of
That one before but a Jag Officer at fort H said he isn’t even allowed
As a civilian access to a military base period
Can say I don’t blame the army on that one either

A Proud Infidel®™

I’ve heard that one condition of getting a Double Damn is being barred from entering any U.S. Military Installation, it might also apply to those who got Big Chicken Dinners as well.

AW1 Tim

Same with me. I have an honorable discharge, but an RE-4 code, for disability.

I spent 2 months in Bethesda after a helo accident and fought for another 6 months to stay in, but the medical board said no, so I took their severance package.

Bobo

And he never made it out of the training squadron.

MrFace

Stellar.

Atkron

Mick, can I get a BDA?

I have some ordnance I’d rather not take home to Mother.

Mick

Roger all.

IDC SARC had a good initial hit, but I think that this target requires an immediate re-attack in order to ensure complete coverage of the target.

Atkron proceed IP inbound; expend all on your next pass.

Cleared hot.

Atkron

COCKSUCKKKKKKKKKKKERRRRRRR!!

Sorry the G’s on that rollout were intense.

Mick

KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

(bright flash; ground shakes; enormous phony SEAL ball cap and multicolored hippy anal beads go flying everywhere)

Shack! BDA = 100/100.

Hope you didn’t gray out during that high G pull off the target; cleared to RTB to Mother.

Atkron

Canyon 407 is feet wet, and headed back to mom.

A Proud Infidel®™

Atomic Cocksucker.

Deckie

The string of multicolored anal beads on his hat is a nice touch.

Daisy Cutter

So he’s a Vietnam-era veteran, just not a Vietnam veteran.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

The War on the Viet of the Nam!

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

There is that OVER-SIZED and AFTER-MARKET Trident ball cap again that NO US NAVY SEAL has ever worn!

LEGIT!

rgr769

How about those hippy love beads on his cap? Or are they those anal ones I have heard about?

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

I am Irish Catalick … I have no idea what you are talkin’ ‘bout.

Mick

Our hero was an Airman Apprentice assigned to Training Squadron 27 (VT-27) in the Naval Air Training Command and stationed first at Naval Auxiliary Air Station New Iberia, LA, and then the squadron moved to NAS Corpus Christi, TX.

No time out in the Fleet. None.

However, he did rack up an impressive amount of time in his CO’s office:

– 31 August 1962 CO’s NJP

– 13 April 1963 CO’s NJP

– 26 May 1964 CO’s NJP

– 23 July 1965 Not Recommended for Reenlistment

– 30 July 1965; the Navy puts its boot in his ass and he’s out on the street.

Yup, all of that adds up to what real SEALs are made of.

Totally legit.

Atkron

It’s almost like he scheduled a yearly meeting with the Skipper.

AW1Ed

After annual meetings with his LPO, CPO, Div. O, Branch Head, and XO. He was quite a popular lad, and the topic of much discussion.

NHSparky

Was that guy ever NOT pulling EMI?

Atkron

I doubt he ever got a chance to visit anything besides the galley, the hangar, and the barracks.

Let alone a full paycheck.

ChipNASA

I bet he had Golden Kneepads.
😀 😀 😀

John Seabee

Guys like this make a valid case for the Navy establishing a rating of Dick Stepper Apprentice.

Mason

He made it past apprentice dick stepper. If he’d have stuck with it, he could be the command master chief of the entire dick stepper corps.

Ex-PH2

How many other opportunities has he messed up like this?

No need to answer or guess. It’s rhetorical.

AW1Ed

Off the cuff, I’d say all of them.

Daisy Cutter

For a brief period right after bootcamp, his star was on the rise. E-1 with 3 months tucked under his belt, newly minted sailor headed to the fleet, transitioned to E-2 a few months later, his entire Navy career lay ahead of him, the possibilities were endless, heck, maybe even a tour in the Viet of Nam.

Then… Groundhog Day.

Just An Old Dog

This is one of the worst case scenarios when you call out a shit-booger embellisher.
Initially the FOIA comes back no joy and they get posted as not having served.
When they get called out or questioned by friends family or co-workers they get a gleam in their eye like a Tranny working a corner when Psul( of the ballsack) pulls up in his broken down Jag. They whip out a few old sets of orders and pictures of themselves in uniform to prove they served and use that as justification that the site has no credibility about anything, so they say they were a high speed low drag type.
Its happened with at least half a dozen cock-moles on here.

USAFRetired

Is the reason he never progressed beyond Airman Apprentice (besides 3x Captains Mast) got anything to do with it appears he never went to Tech School. I thought in those days all the green eyed monsters went to a minimum of ‘A’ school at NATTC NAS Memphis, Millington TN?

AW1Ed

There is a special creature known as an Undesignated Airman, someone who either scored so low on the ASVAB they couldn’t qualify for an “A” school, or got bamboozeled by the recruiter to go right in and strike for a rate after some experience in the Fleet was had.

These lost souls haunt the steam lines and deep sinks in the galley, run the deck grinders and needle guns, ’cause rust never sleeps, paint, swab out the heads, or perform the 1000+1 other menial shipboard tasks forever. The smart ones strike for a rate pretty quickly; somehow I don’t think Airman Apprentice Adams was very smart.

USAFRetired

AW1Ed, thanks for contributing to my education.

NHSparky

Well that and he never got the CO’s recommendation to advance to E-3, not to mention was unable to unfuck himself long enough to fulfill the 9 month TIR requirement.

Calling all TAHellions for a voice vote:

Do we count John William Adams, Jr. among the 2018 TAH Phony Race contestants, or not?

He was exposed last year, but we have proof of service this year.

To include John William Adams, Jr. in the 2018 TAH Phony Race as another phony SEAL, vote “Aye.”

To exclude John William Adams, Jr. the phony SEAL from the 2018 TAH Phony Race, vote “Nay.”

Thank you for your civic duty as a TAHellion.

Skippy

Do both. 2017 and 2018

2/17 Air Cav

What was learned about him in 2018 accrues to his benefit. He went from no record of service in 2017 to, um, an unsavory service in 2018. That he was not a SEAL was established in 2017 and reaffirmed in 2018. So, where does that leave my vote? Let me be perfectly clear on this. Count me as ayenay. (Should I run for political office?)

AW1Ed

He was outed in 2017, it just took the paperwork a while to catch up. I say Nay for 2018; too much like double dipping.

Graybeard

The polls have closed.

The Hellions present have voted.

John William Adams, Jr., the phony SEAL will not be entered in the 2018 TAH Phony Race.

In other words, John William Adams, Jr. is a has-been phony SEAL.

We return now to our regular programming.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

Airman Deuce/Seal? Well the Seals are still in the lead this week. By the way, does anyone out there no where he lives. NO, I won’t say you know what.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

Forgot to mention on my above comment that he should stick with his brother Sam’s Brewery.

JimV

I got a bar to reenlistment. But only because I declined a PCS move. I was going into the USAR. Retired 19-years-later.

Martinjmpr

I’ll bet the dumbass claimed to be the 2nd President of the United States, too! 😀

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

I just noticed this hobo wears a beard al la Bernath …

Just sayin’ … distant cousin …

A Proud Infidel®™

Has he screeched about lawering up yet?

Paul Dragos

In the 60’s, a lot of people went undesignated into the Navy. In my boot camp class over 70% went to the fleet instead of school. I went to a carrier, did my mess cook time, and became a AO striker. Made AO2 in two years and five months. Not going to school had nothing to do with scores.

Green Thumb

Substandard Discharge = Turd.
