Wednesday morning feel good stories
AW1Ed sends a link from Oswego, Illinois;
Police say it all began when someone with a knife attacked another person during an argument.
Neighbor Dave Thomas, who witnessed the attack, went into his home, got his rifle and ordered the suspect to stop.
“I poked my head out the door. There was a pool of blood, blood was everywhere in the hall. There was still a confrontation going on, there were about three or four people involved at this point,” Thomas said. “So I ran back into my house and grabbed my AR-15. I grabbed the AR-15 over my handgun — bigger gun, I think a little more of an intimidation factor. Definitely played a part in him actually stopping.”
The suspect was able to get away briefly, before he was captured by police.
The stabbing victim was taken to the hospital. No word yet on that person’s condition.
Police say Thomas has a valid firearm owner’s identification card and a concealed carry permit.
From Charleston, West Virginia;
A burglary early Sunday morning ended up with a shot fired by the homeowner, Charleston Police say.
It happened in the 700 block of Ivy Drive.
Eli Wayne Freeland, 30, was arrested and charged with one count of nighttime burglary.
Police say the homeowner fired one shot, which hit the living room floor. No charges were filed against him because police say he was acting in self-defense.
The homeowner told police that Freeland said someone was after him and was going to kill him. The homeowner warned him to stay behind a couch or he would be shot. That’s when the homeowner said Freeland advanced toward him, leading him to fire the shot.
Go back to Maryland, Eli.
From Little Rock, Arkansas;
The Little Rock Police Department says one person was shot by an off-duty officer when the person tried to gain access to the officer’s apartment.
Lt. Michael Ford says the shooting happened at a residence at Bowman Heights Apartments off of Markham Mesa Place.
Police tell KATV the veteran officer was at his home when an unknown suspect started banging on the door and yelling loudly. Authorities say the suspect allegedly busted in a window and then shots were fired.
According to police, officers don’t know if the suspect was armed, but the suspect was taken to the hospital in serious condition for injuries sustained in the shooting.

Okay….Eli, WTF is that on your nugget?
Looks like a landing zone for a Helicopter or a coaster for Bubbas beer can while you service him
Holy nippleschitz batman, that picture.
AR to a knife fight, too much club? I didn’t think so either.
Never too much gun to a knife fight.
I don’t care to wait and find out if someone is armed or not. If he’s busting in windows and breaking in, he’ll get shot.
Is Eli High or Dry? Man, that is not something I want to see at breakfast time.
Reading Eli Wayne Freeland’s prison tattoos, he is a two-time looser already.
The homeowner should have got him center-mass with 12ga 00 buck – repeatedly. Save the state some money.
If not for the money, think of the children, won’t somebody please think of the children! 😁
Yesterday, a lady up in Lantana Florida was attacked by a perp with a chainsaw who jumped out of the bushes. Heard this on my radio station yesterday and they mentioned it along with the “Sturmgewehr 44” Assault rifle weapons ban the snowflakes would like to see. The 44 wasn’t mentioned but isn’t that what the AR-15’s are supposed to be. The new word out from CNN is full semi automatic fire or something like that.
