Saturday feel good story
Chief Tango sends us links to today’s feel good story from the Florida panhandle. Apparently Ricky Taylor and Teresa Sunday thought a homeowner had too much stuff and they tried to relieve him of some of it. The homeowner caught them in the act;
The homeowner held the suspects at gunpoint while he called the Sheriff’s Office. As he was speaking with dispatchers, one of the suspects, identified at Ricky Taylor, lunged toward him. The homeowner fired a .38 caliber revolver, striking Taylor in the leg. Taylor was alert and conscious when he was transferred to LifeFlight to be airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. His injuries did not appear life threatening.
The female suspect, identified as Teresa Sunday, received a minor injury on her face from a ricochet; she was taken into custody at the scene by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
Taylor and Sunday are being charged with battery, property damage criminal mischief, burglary and larceny. Sunday was being held without bond early Saturday morning in the Escambia County Jail, while Taylor remained hospitalized.
The homeowner was not injured, and no charges have been filed against him.
I don’t know about you, but I feel better.

I feel better already. 🙂
I am kind of disappointed. The bad guy lived. I’d say he needs more training.
Yea, what the SGT said.
No attempted assault?
Who the hells leaps towards and armed person unless they intend to do serious bodily harm?
Get your shit together law enforcement.
Florida has its “Castle Doctrine” law, so the perps are SOL!
I’m disappointed. They didn’t need to wast JetA fuel on that guy. Otherwise, pretty happy ending!
Homeowner survives and keeps their stuff = happy ending.
Intruder suffers more injury than homeowner = happy ending.
@7 yes a happy ending had by all involved. Hope they enjoy jail.
As #2 Sgt Ted implied:
Too bad the perp wasn’t more threatening, the homeowner could have justifiably killed him & saved the taxpayers a load of money.
@9 Perp lunges for gun, so double tap to center mass or his pumpkin would be justifiable
@10 I just laughed coffee out of my nose! Thanks.
Wait a second…I just realized something.
According to anti-gun liberals, if you use a gun to protect yourself, criminals will take it away because they have magical ninja powers. Did the criminal not get the memo on this or were the liberals wrong this whole time?
Would have been a happier ending with a dead crook but I’m glad it ended well for the homeowner.
[…] This ain’t Hell… has a Saturday feel good story […]
@12 You forget also that burglars are fearless. They stare down guns every day. If the stare doesn’t work the ninja skills will kick in and the hapless homeowner will be looking down the barrel of their own weapon. You here about this all the time. Don’t you??? I love feel good stories. Especially when the right person gets shot and the good guy wins to live and shoot another day! That’s why liberals don’t have guns. They first, wouldn’t want to harm another living creature and second, all those slide locks and safeties and click releases are confusing. I mean…how do I make this damn thing go bang!
…Pardon me…I meant clip releases.
Although to the liberal they are all…clicky, switchy make it go bang things.
This is another bit of evidence that if you play stupid games, you get stupid prizes… Hopefully he shot the guy in the kneecap.
@17 Right On!
You would think that they would learn by now that Florida is not the place to do home invasions.
Spew Alert! The following link contains hilarious mug shots. You have been warned.

I know I feel better also. As I get ready to send my daughter up there next month for college. I’m glad to know there are people there that have guns and know how to use them.
@19: Damn! They did their best to beat the stupid out of him. Boy’s probably going to go to Harvard on a scholarship when he gets out.

I could loan MY gun, a S&W 40C, to a Libtard. NO safeties, other then totally clearing & unloading the weapon. Just point & pull the trigger.
But then again, I think not.
