Left flailing around
To continue along the same line as COB6’s post below, this is what passes for journalism at Associated Press;
In the first few lines, AP calls Palin “inexperienced”, “risky”, “a governor for less than 20 months”, and a “darkhorse”. Obama spokespeople have been on Fox News the last hour beginning each of their memo recitations with “let’s be real”…that seems to be their line for Palin.
They claim that Obama has “a decade” of experience. As a leader? Nope as a legislator. As a “community activist” whatever the Hell that is.
Sarah Palin’s 20 months as governor is more experience than Obama’s 3 years in the Senate – half of which he’s been campaigning for the presidency. Sarah Palin has commanded her own state’s National Guard and she’s been to Iraq as many times as Obama – visiting her own troops and not on a campaign swing.
Will men jump to Obama? The men who end up the subject of a Lifetime Channel movie, maybe. No conservative I know would jump to a socialist just because they won’t vote for a woman. How many times have you heard men admit that they’d “vote for a woman, just not that Clinton woman”? No thinking independent would jump to Obama just because of gender issues – that’s shallow.
How does McCain choosing Palin negate the McCain line that Obama is inexperienced? Obama is running to be President – he’s admitted that he doesn’t have time for on-the-job training. Palin is ready from day one – she’s had more experience leading our largest State, operating the same mechanisms of our federal government on a smaller scale…she’s already had her on-the-job training. She’s no less experienced than Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter were on their first respective day. Obama, on the other hand, is less experienced than Clinton or Carter.
Palin and McCain compliment each other…each fills the other’s shortcomings. All of this flailing around the Left is doing is just throwing stuff against the wall hoping to find something that sticks. But it makes them look foolish while they highlight the shortcomings of their own ticket.
UPDATE: And that excitement thing for the McCain ticket that our resident troll, has been flapping his gums about for the last several months. Well, now it’s there. I’ve been getting emails from bloggers and others expressing the same level of excitement as Rachel Lucas.
Michelle Malkin asks her readers if they’re pumped for McCain now. The results will send a certain troll to his closet rocking in the fetal position in the dark.

Palin has experience leading troops where Obama doesn’t.
For the record Carter served 4 yrs Gov.Ga 6yrs state senate.Clinton served 12 yrs Gov. Ark.Can you imagine what Perot would say about this gal?
That he doesn’t like her tasseled shoes?
OK, after reading the piece by Ron Fournier, I had to stop and re-read lines to determine where the Obama campaign was not being quoted. That is beyond pathetic. Yeah, I know it says: “Analysis.” More like “urinalysis.”
Fournier is already in trouble with the Nutroots, and he just wrote an article which is going to piss them off with that headline, too.
And, annoy the right with his silly statements.
Who cares what Carter says? He’s just a jackass loser who PROVED to America, and the World, that he was unqualified to hold the job that he was elected too.
It *might* just be the FACT that caused him to NOT be elected to a second term.
And then there’s Obama. If you want to talk about a “second-term,” Obama is the NEXT Jimmy Carter, without the military experience! Or consider Bill Clinton (draft-dodger)! Let’s bomb empty $10 tents with $1 million missiles to “make a statement”! Ohhh! I FEEL so PROTECTED. I lived, and served in the Federal Government, through the Clinton Administration, and the Carter Administration (military experience). Talk about LOSERS!
As to the Leftie-meme about Governor Palin’s “lack of foreign policy experience” … HELLO? Barack Hussein Obama? Let us talk about his “experience”! LOSER!!!
And the the latest is that she is supposed to stay home and take care of her family? Er, where did the Democratic Party recently declare that women are supposed to be stay-at-home moms? Where in the Democratic Party Platform declare that mothers/women were incapable of serving in positions of incomparable importance to the Nation because she was a mother?
Hello Lefties, you are about to take a massive dil*o right up your collective ideological a$$e$.
Don’t worry, though, we on the right will take ENORMOUS pleasure in your discomfort.
BOB This is a desperate “Hail Mary” from a candidate who knows his chances are slim.Other than Conservs.like you I guarantee it will lose him votes among independents and gain nothing among Dems or women.I still got an open $100 on Obama to win.Want it?
This is a desperate “Hail Mary”
That line is directly out of the playbook dude. Really, I’ve read it several times today.
It’s interesting. The other three players can be picked at about their ideas… but the best you can come up with about Palin is that line?!?!
A “hail Mary” play from someone (McCain) who broke “even,” or Better-than-Even, on the eve of the Democratic Primary, WITHOUT Governor Palin?
And a “guarantee” that her selection with lose votes amongst women and independents? I strongly think the opposite will occur, especially amongst PUMAs.
As for your $100, I don’t bet. I’ve been to Las Vegas, and had “Las Vegas Nights” overseas. When I and my wife were in Lost Wages last (in October, 2007) our ENTIRE gambling wages and losses only extended to about 20 bucks. Call me cheap, but there it is. We pay our debts on time. My house is NOT foreclosed upon. We have no significant credit card debt. In fact, my major financial drain is my daughter. Even that is within our budget. As is your $100 bet. But, I don’t gamble. I consider gambling a loser’s game. Sure, if you win, you might win “big,” but too many people lose to pay for your hypothetical “pay-out.” Its a philosophical thing. As in the movie “War Games,” the winning move is not to play.
Governor Sarah Palin has a proven track-record of actually “walking the walk” with fiscal responsibility and active opposition to corruption. I truly think that she may very well be the Ronald Reagan. I certainly hope that she is. As long as she holds to those ideals, I will support her wholeheartedly. I wonder why you cannot, or will not, support a proven-true reformer?
Oops, insert “next” prior to “Ronald Reagan.”
I am one of those people who was seriously considering not voting for the first time in my life. Either that, or I was planning to find out how to do a write-in.
However, McCain has given me a reason to go out and vote in November. Thank you John McCain. You’ve got my vote.
She is the real deal where Obama and Biden are as phony as they come.
Lack of experience? Granted Palin has less experience that McCain, who heads her ticket. But, as a former mayor and governor, she’s got more practical executive experience than both Obama and O’Biden combined – unless you count opinionated ranting without accountability – in which case, I’ve got them all beat, and I could learn to appreciate the paycheck.
I am still doing the happy dance. Glen Beck is replaying an interview he did with her – she is awesome and will kick Biden’s hair plugs back to their donor site. You know she’s good when KOS Kidz go absolutely insane…
NOW I”M PUMPED ABOUT THE ELECTION!!!!!
PONSDORF AND COMPANY. AS a Democrat I’m happy with the Palin pick Romney would have given Mac a chance in Mich. and Penn. This brings only Montana.Obama holds 2004 states + Virg.,Colo.,Iowa,N.M.,Missou.,Nev.Fla now tossup. Is slam dunk better than Hail Mary?
Obama loses like Mondale. Libs have no idea how fired up Republicans are now. I saw today voters who were waffling make up their minds for MCCain Palin. Obama should be up big in the polls, but he’s tied or losing. He won’t even get a bounce from the convention.
Wheeler, you are delusional if you think obama carries all those states. I too have read the “hail Mary” comment on several sites and it’s so lame.
Lia With this desperatation pick there is no path to electoral victory for Mac.Obama 305-Mac 233.Polls now have Obama 48-41 and should finish around 52-46.Fired up are the Obama supporters.Ol John is lukewarm and the gun toting beauty queen won’t save him.Enjoy
Richard,
Did you not read the reports that the money Obama spent on Virginia, Florida, Alaska all caused his numbers to decrease? Obama was up 2 in Virginia, and is now down by 5 there. Obama was tied in Florida, and now he’s down by 7-9.
Obama is currently only 8 points up as of Gallup and 4 points as of Rasmussen. That’s not impressive, especially after the talk of his speech being so “Kennedy-esque”.
So take that $100 and eat it. Cause that’s what you’re going to do.
And learn to capitalize and use commas.
Dan I would suggest you learn to punctuate and what the hell is “as of Gallup”?More importantly, hone up on your reading skills because Obama is well ahead in the electoral college and the popular vote.Since you don’t have the guts to match my $100 I will enjoy a victory dinner with my own monies.PS I’ll give you Alaska.
Hey Richard! Don’t be a *dick*…..weed about it. Its all in the numbers, the election is rigged & you can be happy for once in your life it is, they’ll fall where they will. Either way, both candidates are in Soros’s pocket.
Its a matter of which evil is more evil…..and how gullable the voters are to think they have a say in what goes down in the race.
“Desperatation”? I’d learn to spell before I started throwing out punctuation accusations.
McCain hit a walk-off home run picking Sarah Pallin as his running mate. She is a true conservative, served in an executive capacity, commanded troops, she’s pro-life, lifetime NRA member, athlete, sportscaster, MILF, the whole package! Especially after Obama’s Saddleback debacle, it’s becoming quite apparent who the decisive leaders will be (McCain, Pallin) and those whom the Presidency is “above their pay grade”! 😉
Bob Desperation was obvious typo. What excuse do you have for your maniacal rantings?
Palin-Jindal 2012 !!!!!
“Maniacal rantings”? Me? Let us parse this apart.
“Maniacal”? A sub-consciously over-riding driven impulse? For what? A person who ACTUALLY effectuates reforms in Government? Maybe so! But, given the implication of an “evil” motive in the term “Maniacal,” let us explore that further. What is “maniacal” in supporting someone who ACTUALLY takes steps to OPPOSE the CORRUPT actions of the Republican Party Leadership of her State? If we all lived in Pennsylvania, are we supposed to bow down before the Corruptocrat Murtha? Under existing law, Richard Wheeler, you are ABSOLUTELY free to DONATE your entire salary to the Federal Government to support insane wealth-transfer schemes. If you don’t already live in Murtha’s Congressional District, or Pelosi’s District (which I seriously doubt that you EVER afford to live in), you need to strongly consider moving there. Of course, that might mean that you have to move out of your parents’ basement.
As for “ranting,” AFTER responding to your idiocy, I happened to notice that *your* so-called “response” just HAPPENED to mirror the Democratic Party National Committee attack against Governor Palin. So what does this make you, Richard Wheeler? A paid WHORE for the Democratic Party? I’ve seen, and prosecuted, prostitutes. I can only remember two of them that were actually still “cute.” The rest of them had been ridden hard and put away wet, SEVERAL times. I actually felt sorry for them. What is your excuse?
I was wondering if Biden will get as much flack from the LEFT over his deferments from the draft as Cheney has. I believe they BOTH had the same number of deferments.
