Democrats try to showcase Biden inflation as Trump inflation
The Democrats took to X with a post tying “record inflation” to President Trump. However, the graph that they showed was from the end of Trump’s first term, through Biden’s term, and then into Trump’s second term. An account representing the Republicans posted the same graph, but with the Biden years marked. The Democrats ended up deleting the post. The hammering that this post received provided an example of why some call for more “control” over what is said on social media.
From Fox News:
A tweet from the official Democratic Party’s X account was ridiculed on Thursday after inadvertently showing prices skyrocketing under former President Joe Biden.
The post attempted to describe rising grocery prices under “Trump’s America” using a graph dating from October 2019 to 2025. The graph claimed that “U.S. Grocery Prices Reached Record Highs in 2025” with prices “higher today than they were on July 2024” in categories such as dairy, produce and meat.
However, many X users pointed out that the graph, in fact, showed prices skyrocketing in 2021 when Biden was president and only leveling off at the end of 2024 when President Donald Trump was re-elected.
“You’re showing us a graph of stable prices suddenly rising the moment you came into power and then steadily rising higher and higher until Trump was reelected,” political commentator Chad Felix Greene wrote.

Inflation is 2.6% this year, which is higher than the Fed Res target of 2%, but much better than we have been used to as things unwind.
Every prediction that liberal economists have made this year have been wrong, very wrong to be sure.
The Democrats did take it down, after being widely mocked. Why are liberals so similar?
Republican Party approval rate today = 42%
Democrats= 32%
They will keep trying dumb stuff.
I think the failure of the Fed to take timely action is going to give us a hard landing. June home sales were a nine month low and should have been a high as it is normally the best month for sales. Prices are up by almost 7%. New housing starts were also down YOY for June.
July numbers are likely to be worse.
I don’t know how anyone is building anything right now. I walked through Home Depot the other day and 8’ spruce studs were $7. Each. The price of building materials has never come down from the extreme amount they rose during the COVID debacle.
If you want to have a heart attack, go price a yard of concrete.
No kidding. Locally, a short load has increased from 3 yards to 5 yards. Don’t like the price? Mix it yourself seems to be their attitude, but that just puts project costs and expense elsewhere. Now you have a couple piles of sand and gravel to take up space in the driveway.
There are some DIY projects that aren’t worth the aggrevation to make it truly DIY to save a couple bucks, and mixing and pouring concrete rates high on my list.
Doesn’t rate high on my list.
Hey dims, it sucks to suck doesn’t it.
As an aside, I live in Colorado and the economy here isn’t getting better (besides gas prices being just a little cheaper). It’s not getting worse, don’t get me wrong, but I am wondering when I’ll be able to see things locally getting better. But, regardless, I’m still willing to be patient with my suffering.
Mr. Trump, keep winning for our people!
Colorado is Democrat controlled. There is a limit to how Federal policy impacts Democrat feudal holdings.
Specifically, I live in El Paso County, which is a fiefdom of the continually besieged Colorado Republican Party. But, yes, this is what I think when I notice that the price of groceries are not down yet (or when I see something that should’ve improved, but didn’t).
Off topic question :
Are people not posting at this time because they’re constantly refreshing the main blog page to be the first on WOT?
Correction: That photo caption should say, “We don’t need no steenkin facts!”
Correction: he actually said, “I don’t have to show you any stinking badges” right after saying, “We don’t need no badges.”
Full quote:
“Badges? We aint got no badges. We don’t need no badges. I don’t have to show you any stinking badges…”
SSDD, the D-rats refuse to take fault for anything, projecting their failures on everyone else, particularly DJT and the GOP!
Leftists gonna leftist.
McDonald’s took advantage to Bidenflation to jack up prices and made McNuggets saltier to get people to eat more. (My cat grew up feral eating McNuggets and, now, won’t unless I remove their new batter coating.)
My neighbors are cat people, and have 4 indoor cats, spayed, neutered and declawed. They also feed pair of feral cats who had kittens, bringing the number to 6. Yay me.
Lots of my neighbors are lousy pet owner and usually of dogs. Being decent means my house is where kitties want to be– no, we’re full-up, go away!
Yes, they really ARE that stupid!
Math and interpreting graphs and charts are difficult for some people. The DNC and liberal morons prove that time and time again.
