Retired Officers Urge Congress to End DoD’s Toxic ‘Diversity’ and ‘Equity’ Programs

| June 1, 2023

Citing concerns for national security, General Bolduc sent a letter to Congress and had 160 retired generals and admirals sign it. In the letter, they are calling on Congress to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs from next year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

160 Retired Flag Officers Urge Congress to End DoD’s Toxic ‘Diversity’ and ‘Equity’ Programs
by Donald Bolduc | June 1, 2023

Speaker McCarthy, House Minority Leader Jeffries, Chairman Rogers, and Chairman Calvert

We respectfully request that Congress, pursuant to its constitutional powers “…to raise and support Armies…” and “… to provide and maintain a Navy…,” take legislative action to remove all diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs from the Department of Defense (DoD).

Additionally, we ask that you ensure no DEI-related policies, programs, and funding are included in the 2024 NDAA. As our Nation faces looming threats from “foreign” adversaries/enemies, our military is under assault from a culture war stemming from “domestic” ideologically inspired political policies and practices. If not stopped now, they will forever change the military’s warrior ethos essential to performing its mission of deterring aggression and failing that, to fight and win our Nation’s wars.

Our military must be laser-focused on one mission—readiness, undiminished by the culture war engulfing our country. For generations, our military was a meritocracy, which simply defined means selection and advancement based solely on merit and ability. Service Members (SMs) were judged not by the color of their skin but by their character, duty performance, and potential. Meritocracy, coupled with equal opportunity, created conditions for all to advance and excel, which stimulates healthy
competition, thereby raising standards. Historically, our military has been one of, if not the most, diverse and inclusive institution in America.

I guess they went the opposite direction of the Intelligence community. Interesting how retirement causes a separation of political inclinations in the different agencies.

“I guess they went the opposite direction of the Intelligence community. Interesting how retirement causes a separation of political inclinations in the different agencies.”

The intelligence community recruits heavily from the Ivy League while the military more generally represents the country at large.

‘Nuff said… 🙄

“…eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs from next year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).”

You can add British TV programs to that data set, especially the ones funded by the BBC. Every white woman character has to either be a lesbian or married to a Black man.

rgr769

Ditto.

Doesn’t he know that the Air Force is a self-insurer? They would rather fight it out in court than pay him for the old slip and fall.

One would think that with his record of mishaps on foot, he would look where he is putting them.

The Nazis had cards made up of what the perfect Aryan should look like including nose shape and hair color plus a persons liniage. I wonder if the woke Military is going to do the same but I think that the leaders are too young to know this. Maybe I shouldn’t have said this in case anyone of these peeps are on this site.

Fyrfighter

It won’t be cards, it’ll be digital…

QMC

Go a step further and do me a solid by ending it across the other Federal agencies too. This whole thing is bs.

Meanwhile in the United Kingdom, the sign says “White Cisgender Males Need Not Apply”.

In the UK Royal Air Farce, they only want females and other than white males to train as pilots until their cisgender white male pilots are less than 30% of their pilots.

Mick

Yup; here we go again.

— SIGH —

The Brits need to ask themselves the same question that we’ve discussed previously several times here at TAH:

When you have troops in contact that need Close Air Support, do you want the most qualified pilots available to be dropping aviation ordnance danger close to friendlies, or would you prefer to have the most diverse pilots available give it a try instead?

Hack Stone

If Diversity Equity and Inclusion are such integral components to success in combat, why isn’t the Biden-Harris Administration mandating DEI training in the billions of US taxpayer dollars being dumped in Ukraine?

Hate_me

I, personally, don’t worry when the captain comes over the airplane intercom and sounds either female or urban. I made my peace with death, long ago.

In other news, I’m in the market for an ocean-worthy sailboat.

Etc(ss)

Did Admiral Jack Mehoff sign this?

Sapper3307

Richard Pryer in his prime if you don’t get it

Skivvy Stacker

No, he didn’t.
But I think I saw your name there; Mustaf Herod Upurass.

Forrest Bondurant

Assuming for a moment that all the General and Flag officers who were signatories were male, it will fall on deaf ears because of patriarchy.

SFC D

The signatories are all male, and presumably predominantly white. Therefore, this petition is cancelled because of racism, patriarchalism, sexism, and most of all, realism. Realism is just not allowed.

Daisy Cutter

When in doubt, increase the number of required JKO courses.

Objective truth (i.e., something you can test and prove) is right-wing “fascist” stuff and must be banned for equity, social-justice, etc. goodness and unicorn farts.

Just An Old Dog

I would be happy if they simply let the Military conduct a non-biased study on how the entire “Females in Combat Arms” Experiment is working out.
For Instance a part of this could be how many Female Marines actually enlist to be infantry, how many pass initial training ( Despite the lies they get a watered down version) and how many actually are able to stay in the actual MOS for their entire contract without getting injured/ discharged or moved to a non infantry billet within the units.

In completely unrelated news the Navy askews their gay heritage. They are no longer proud.
