It was, actually his usual stump speech, polished up and interspersed with surprises- the attendance of a Retired U.S. Air Force Tuskegee Airman Col. (Now BG) Charles McGee and his grandson, Tony Rankins, an Army veteran and recovering addict who found work doing construction as part of the administration’s “Opportunity Zone” program. President Trump reunited a military family during his State of the Union address. Amy Williams and her two children were in the audience when Trump introduced Sergeant First Class Townsend Williams was home from his fourth deployment to the Middle East. Trump proposed federal legislation to give tax credits to people who contribute to scholarship funds, and also announced that a child he had invited to the speech, Janiyah Davis of Pennsylvania, would be receiving a scholarship.
“No parent should be forced to send their child to a failing government school,’ he said.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s theatrical tearing apart of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night drew an immediate response from Donald Trump Jr. who likened it to ripping up America’s heroes and workers.As Breitbart News reported, Pelosi tore the transcript as Trump completed his address, extoling as he did the “Great American Comeback” on his watch, just three years after he took office, decrying a land of “American carnage” under his predecessor.
Pelosi read through her copy as he spoke.
She then stood up, disdainfully held the speech in full view of Congress and the nation, and tore the pages in half. She began tearing the papers just as Trump finished saying, “God bless America.”
In so doing, Pelosi tore apart a text honoring American military forces – including Tuskegee Airman Gen. Charles McGee, a 100-year-old veteran of the pioneering black fighter pilots amongst others – as well as other hardworking Americans.

The offered handshake was before the speech when Trump was turning to the podium. From the video, it is impossible to see whether he saw her put out her limp hand in his peripheral vision. Only he knows, also he handed Pence his folder with the text of the speech first and there was no hand shake. I suspect he planned no to shake her hand. At the end of a long acrimonious trial, I did something similar when one of the opposing congratulated me on the verdict in my client’s favor. Since no one else was still in the courtroom, my response was “fuck you.” You see, for six weeks he had pulled every crooked stunt in book. He tried to have me held in contempt on bogus claims and he had just called my client a liar and me a racist in his closing argument. My client’s reaction was, “I wouldn’t have as much respect for you as I do, if hadn’t done that.”

And when the case looked like with would reach the Supreme Court before the November election the administration requested that they delay the case so it would not be decided until after the election. Trump knows his supporters want to protect pre-existing conditions so he lies he says he is doing it. He knows they will be unhappy if they find out he undermined them so he purposely delayed the effort so it would not hurt him in the election.

Joseph Smith would most likely not be a fan of Mitt’s actions. Smith was against slavery and therefore didn’t agree with the pro slavery Democrats. The reason that the Mormons were hated in Missouri is because they were anti-slavery and were a large voting block in that State. Until 1976 it was legal to shoot a Mormon in that State, granted it wasn’t as black and white as that.

The majority are not fans of what he does in his personal life or the way he says some things. We also believe that we are all sinners and it is not our place to judge. Most approve of the job he is doing though. I call my Brother-In-Law a super Mormon, he has two children currently on a mission and his third getting ready to go, and he is the most die hard fan of Trump that I know.

There is something else that is missing in the discussion of Pelosi ripping apart the speech.
When a President walks in the Chambers, after shaking hands and all that, he hands a copy of the speech to the Vice President as the head of the Senate, and a copy of the speech to the speaker of the House.
It is THAT copy that fulfills the Constitutional requirement in Article II, Section 3, Clause 1.
[The President] shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.”
The copy of the speech is the official government copy for the House archives. It has to go there.
Pelosi destroyed an official government document which, of course, is illegal.
She won’t get prosecuted nor should she, but as one person here noted, her actions show her contempt for the Constitution and the history of the country.

During an interview with Fox news host Laura Ingraham, Gaetz argued that Pelosi has “impulse control problems” and should be held accountable.
