WASHINGTON — The Air Force has found no evidence to corroborate allegations of sexual misconduct by the four-star nominated to be the military’s No. 2 officer, but that investigation may not be enough to satisfy Senate lawmakers considering his nomination.

On April 12, a service member came forward with allegations that U.S. Strategic Command head Gen. John Hyten, currently the head of U.S. Strategic Command, initiated “abusive sexual contact” and “an inappropriate relationship” with her, a senior military official familiar with the investigation told reporters Wednesday.

Hyten, announced in April as the nominee to become vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is awaiting confirmation by the Senate Armed Services Committee, whose members were briefed Wednesday on the investigation carried out by the Air Force Office of Special Investigation.

“After a comprehensive investigation by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, there was insufficient evidence to support any finding of misconduct on the part of Gen. Hyten,” said Pentagon spokeswoman Col. DeDe Halfhill. “Gen. Hyten cooperated with the investigation. With more than 38 years of service to our nation, Gen. Hyten has proven himself to be a principled and dedicated patriot.” – Article

Unwanted touching and kissing – please be more specific. Did he bump into someone on the way out the door, or did he literally violate the “look – DON’T TOUCH!!!” thing that’s going around like a virus? If the investigators did an extensive job of digging into ‘unwanted touching’ stuff, and could not find anything substantial, then what is this referring to?

False accusations…again! BTDT!

With all that investigating, and finding nothing, then I’m sure the Gnrl is clean. IMO if they had of found the least little tiny bit of anything, he’d be bounced on out. YMMV

Can a Harvard University graduate wearing the Master Space Operations Badge and Master Cyberspace Operator Badge really be trusted?

Is the Air Force running out of fighter pilots who graduated from the Air Force Academy? How will senior leadership at the Pentagon function without the zipper suited sun gods calling the shots?

Just wow! A Chairforce four star with no pilot wings, what is happening with the high level zoomies?

JMHO

The Air Force’s top dawg should be a guy who’s spent his entire career in either A-10s or B-52s.

Doesnt matter, if they don’t like what you say or do, they’ll recall you and prosecute you under the UCMJ. They literally own us for life. Sexual harassment and assault is a serious issue especially when military do it against each other. However, in this current climate we find ourselves it’s hard to believe because so many people are just throwing it around. Look at the confirmation of Justice Kavanaugh.

Yep—–We’re gonna be in (at least shallow) kimchi for awhile with these flag/general officers who were “serving” during obummers timeframe.
