Earlier Thursday, Florence Police said that a juvenile — who was not named at the time — was shot and killed in an attempted robbery gone bad.
In a social media update, police said that officers responding to the scene found a deceased juvenile in the parking lot. According to police, the incident stemmed from a planned robbery involving the deceased and another juvenile targeting a third individual, who later came to the police department during the investigation.
Detectives worked through the night with assistance from the Florence/Lauderdale SWAT Team, executing search warrants in Franklin and Colbert counties.
At approximately 3 a.m., a juvenile was arrested and charged with felony murder and first-degree robbery. A hearing on Thursday set the juvenile’s bond at $100,000.

Looks like the victim fought back and the surviving junior thug is getting charged with his success in doing so.
Police investigate ‘justified homicide’ in northeast Albuquerque
By KOB
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police are investigating what they describe as a “justifiable homicide” that happened overnight in northeast Albuquerque.APD officers responded Friday at around 1:10 a.m. to reports of shots fired at an apartment complex, just south of San Mateo Boulevard and Osuna Road. They arrived and found a man dead with gunshot wounds.
Detectives investigated and say the man tried forcing his way into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment after a dispute. Her friend then stepped in and shot him.
After consulting with the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office, however, APD stated no charges will be filed at this time.

The guy in Albuquerque watched one too many romantic comedies on how to win back the love of his life.
Could be, Mr. Stone. The term “…a love to die for…” should only be in a romance novel and not a life’s goal. Had the ex-gf just moved from the Big City into the small town for a “fresh start”? Was her “friend” that stepped in and shot the spurned Romeo, a flannel shirt wearing, pickup truck driving, sensitive fellow with a dog? Hallmark Theater was unavailable for comment.
Is the apartment complex going to receive counseling service to help cope with the loss of this young scholar along with the school? Apartments have feelings too, you know. My feelings are that the world is a little better with the punk’s life choices taking him out of the gene pool. I’m sure that the Boys in Cell Block D will give comfort and counseling service to his punk ass partner.
That thar Bay-Rhetta is nice, Tacticool, and all that but IMHO, rather spendy. A Mossy Maverick will works just as well to put a bad guy on ice, man.
As a matter of fact I DO have that news outlet bookmarked.
I would just be tickled pink to meet up with that Lovely Lass. Is it my imagination or is that a coy little “come hither” look she’s giving me?
There always has to be a dog…and a precocious daughter who talks to reindeer without benefit of anything…exotic.

If the counseling at Colbert Heights High School in Alabama doesn’t include “Don’t try to rob people” they’re missing the boat.
Even if you’re a football hero in HS, trying to rob someone else is a good way to end up dead. And the ref can’t change his mind.
