A few quick items to start off the day.
In a stunning exhibition of the glaringly obvious, National Public Radio’s (MPR) Katherine Maher says they should have covered the Hunter Biden laptop story “more aggressively or sooner.”
The mea culpa by NPR’s chief executive Katherine Maher came during intense questioning from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and other Republican legislators during a congressional subcommittee hearing regarding the broadcaster’s perceived bias in its coverage.
The hearing included testimony from both Maher and PBS CEO Paula Kerger — though Maher was the primary focus of Republican criticism. NY Post
Whatever led her to that conclusion, hmmm?
Both groups are funded through the Center for Public Broadcasting which is slated to get $535,000,000 this year.
You may recall that after the election, concerns were raised here that so many Trump appointments were being pulled from Republican lawmakers that their majorities in the House and Senate would bear watching. Seems that particular pigeon has indeed come home to roost.
Discussions are being held on whether Representative Elise Stefanik should step away from her nomination to be President Donald Trump’s U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, a White House official said on Thursday.
Pulling her from the nomination would be done in part because of concern about Republicans’ tight majority in the House of Representatives, which she would leave if confirmed for the post.Reuters
Wife says I shouldn’t say “I told you so.” Chuckle, giggle, snort…
Update Thursday PM – She’s outta here. Nomination officially pulled AP

Very pretty… but can they fight?
The French (let’s be nice now) had an unfortunate meeting of the wings in stunt practice for an air show near Saint-Dizier (northeastern France) Tuesday.
Two military jets collided midair during a stunt rehearsal in France on Tuesday before crashing to the ground and exploding in a massive fireball, dramatic video shows.
The collision caused three pilots and one passenger to eject and parachute to safety, the French Air and Space Force wrote on X.
The jets were part of a seven-aircraft team flying in coordination with the Patrouille de France (PAF), a precision aerobatics demonstration unit of the agency, near an air base in Saint-Dizier in northeastern France at around 3:40 p.m. local time. Fox News
The PAF flies Alpha jets, a joint product of Dassault (French) and Dornier (Germany) designed in the 1970’s and used primarily as a trainer and for aerobatics. Apparently they fly poorly after collisions…luckily, no major injuries were reported in this incident.

Gascon. Just looks like someone worth slapping, doesn’t he?
And in a welcome change of pace, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman is once again making waves. Hochman, who replaced George Soros bought DA George Gascon, has authorized the LA DA’s office to seek the death penalty again.
Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman is allowing county prosecutors to seek the death penalty again, reversing a ban put in place by his predecessor and making good on a campaign promise.
The county prosecutorial office said Monday the death penalty will be pursued only in “exceedingly rare cases” and the “most egregious.”
Under California law, the death penalty can only be sought if someone is charged with murder with special circumstances, which can include killings where there are multiple victims or if the victim is a law enforcement officer. AP
Gascon had barred the DA’s from seeking the death penalty, saying it didn’t deter crime. I would note that the executed are 100% deterred from ever committing another crime, but that’s just me.

How bout being slapped to death? I know it’s early. I’ll be back in my hooch.
Left/libtardery amok:

Elon don’t care. He already has his $$$ out of those eco-Libtard “watermelons”.
One more person tries to argue the false equivalency of Bud Light boycotts and Tesla burnings and vandalism, I may lose my ladylike demeanor.
AB also dropped sponsorship of the St. Louis Pride parade, gays have called for boycotts.
Gays can go pound sand …
…and enjoy it.
Oh, please, I want to see you lose your ladylike demeanor.
Every person, male or female, needs to do it at least once in their life, just to see how far they’ll go when pushed beyond their normal tolerance.
Do you curl up and cry? Or do you strike out and push back?
I’ve done it several times, it’s an eye-opener.
I could go on, but just between close friends around a beer or two.
Ummm….. what????
That’s okay… it has its moments.
Can I buy a front row, center seat to that event? I gots money and will bring enough snacks for everyone…Up to and including an assortment of premium refreshing beverages.
Does comprehensive insurance cover your Tesla when you set fire to it? Asking for TDS infected Progs.
Just another Saturday?
“Burn a Tesla, save democracy!” Democrats chant… not insurrection when they do it though.

In regards to the NPR hearings, notice that NONE of the legacy media has covered the hearings much less commented on it! Wonder why?
Some of them are probably still but hurt about getting their underhanded, backdoor government fundings axed by DOGE.
They were supposed to do that air maneuver at Ramstein next weekend.
Too soon?
Minus two.
Battle staff grad?
“Sooner?” They didn’t cover it at all except to ridicule the NY Post story as false and that the laptop was Russian disinformation. According to PBS, Trump is a stooge for Putin. It is just another propaganda org for Progs and the DNC.
Well, let’s ask the victims for their opinions first, ok?
