Trump EO calls for restoring statues and monuments

President Donald Trump signed an executive order calling for restoring the statues and monuments taken down after January 1, 2020. The EO further tasks Vice President JD Vance with addressing the divisive DEI initiatives carried out by the Smithsonian Institution. Tax payer funding will not be used for exhibits that denigrate American values. The EO accurately labels what these efforts were really intended to do… An attempt to rewrite American history to fit the narratives of those who want to fundamentally change the United States.

From the Daily Caller:

“Over the past decade, Americans have witnessed a concerted and widespread effort to rewrite our Nation’s history … reconstructed as inherently racist, sexist, oppressive, or otherwise irredeemably flawed,” the order reads. “It is the policy of my Administration to restore Federal sites dedicated to history, including parks and museums, to solemn and uplifting public monuments that remind Americans of our extraordinary heritage, consistent progress toward becoming a more perfect Union.”

Among the memorials likely to be reinstated is the Confederate Reconciliation Monument at Arlington National Cemetery, which was dismantled in 2023 under the Biden administration. The statue became a flashpoint in recent years as activists accused it of glorifying the Confederacy. The memorial was ultimately removed after recommendations by a congressionally mandated Naming Commission, which was established in the wake of nationwide riots and widespread vandalism following the death of George Floyd in 2020 — a movement that spurred the toppling or defacing of dozens of historical monuments across the country.

The order applies to other federally controlled properties, including Civil War battlefields, presidential sites and National Park Service locations.

Trump’s directive singles out the National Museum of African American History and Culture for linking concepts like individualism and the nuclear family to “white culture,” and accuses the forthcoming American Women’s History Museum of planning to “recognize men as women.”

NPR is already skeptical and bringing up George Floyd with the associated trouble:

Free Derek Chauvin. Serious bigley injustice here. Talk about his own chief of police throwing him under the George Floyd train. Maximum Restraint Technique? Never heard of it.

After the Peace/Reconciliation Monument is put back, maybe we can hang the rino bastard Austin Scott from it. Too bad we can’t replace all the others that were melted down and turned into “other artwork”.

I’ve been thinking hard on this one and it’s my belief that FJB and Saint Floyd of Fentanyl should have their mugs on their own huge monument in downtown Minneapolis so that when mom’s years from now pass by, they can tell their children, “see kids these two men are beacons of hope for our community, you should aspire to be just like them!”
