Hegar Running for Congress

| August 11, 2018

MJ Hegar served in the Air Force for 12 years, first as an aircraft maintenance mechanic and later as a pilot. She deployed three times to Afghanistan, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross on her final tour. Courtesy MJ Hegar’s campaign

“I see an uncomfortably flippant attitude toward putting our men and women in uniform at risk, by how we treat our allies, or how we treat a nuclear power or how we treat countries that are actively attacking our democracy. I think there are a lot of things that we need a lot more veterans in Congress because of that,” she said.

I will just leave the LINK to the rest of this…

interesting.

Servant leadership is an interesting concept that cannot exist in the political system of the DNC, so I’m interested to see whether she is actually a genuine servant leader or leader of servants.

DC is a place that exploits ideals and destroys the naive.

Mick

I’ll take leader of servants for $1000, Alex.

I’m getting sick of these politicians/would-be politicians referring to themselves as ‘leaders’. Letting them get away with describing themselves as ‘leaders’ implies that these politicians now feel entitled to use their elected office to make unilateral decisions without regard to the desires of their constituencies, rather than using their position to represent the interests of their constituencies as originally intended.

Senators and Representatives are not ‘leaders’. They’re supposed to work for/represent those who vote them into office. And that hasn’t been the case for a very long time now.

Disgusting.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Senators and Reps have seen themselves as “royalty” for quite some time – the local rep in my AO has a “good local girl” that made it to DC, now she’s lost touch with the people after 8 years (BTW, she’s an R).

AW1Ed

Senior Chief, with respect, my Congress Critter is Steny Fucking Hoyer, the man who never met a tax he didn’t like. Granny McBotox’s hind legs. Who personally saves the Southern Maryland cash cow, NAS Patuxent River, every two years.
If Maryland wasn’t so ridiculously gerrymandered, he’s have been voted out long ago.

Mason

Ahem, Keith Ellison.

Looking like Ilhan Omar will be replacing him. Not only is she also a rabid anti-Semite, in favor of every Socialist position imaginable, but she’s also allegedly an incestuous bigamist. She’s married to a man who may or may not be her brother with her husband of record not the man she lives with, has two kids with, and who she refers to as her husband.

Sparks

Wow, I mean just WOW! I read up on the candidates you mentioned Mason and others they ran against. Sounds like a who’s who of Somali-American Muslim fanatics bent on turning Minnesota and America into a poverty shit hole like most in Africa. (Rings so many familiar bells, like Mexican illegals and legals who want America to be as shitty as what they left.)

Ilhan Omar, what a Muslim cock sucking bitch!

From Wikipedia I read this about her:

“She supports Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, having recommended that the University of Minnesota divest from bonds belonging to Israel, and criticized an anti-Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions law. Some conservative critics have claimed that these views are anti-Semitic, an accusation Omar rejects.”

Rabid anti-Semite and “Death to Israel” bitch is putting her mildly. “Death to Israel” the sum and substance of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement in a nutshell.

What is it with Minnesota anyway? Are there no straight up, non hyphenated Americans left to run for office there? Then again, we’ve let so many of these Muslims sons of bitches in, that’s what they get.

As you wrote, I could find NO contradicting information that she is a bigamist and brother fucker. Just like Obama’s birth certificate questions, no one makes her prove her marriage validity. If a person asks and presses, they’re an anti Muslim racist. If they don’t, it’s probably because they’re voting for her. Again though, I remember I am mistaken in thinking that morals are of any value to Liberals and Muslims.

Mason, I have to say after reading up on the Bitch Omar, and the political state of that part of Minnesota in general, I am as angered as you. I could only be more so if I lived there.

I was all ready to click Post, when found the link below, to an article from 3 days ago. All about her lying her ass off under oath about the matter of marriage, children, everything she needed to lie about, she did. Good luck Minnesota 5th, you folks will need it.

Rant over.

You forget…mooslimes think it perfectly acceptable to lie through their frigging teeth to infidels!!! I say run every stinking one of them out of the country, if they won’t go..HANG ‘EM! imho

Mason

I hadn’t seen those most recent developments. I still don’t see how this isn’t one of the biggest news stories out there.

AW1Ed

Just when one thinks there can’t be worse…damn, Mason. Sorry.

Mason

It is what it is. The problem is people don’t research who they’re voting for. Just a cursory examination would reveal someone you don’t want to vote for here. However, there’s a LOT of liberal guilt in this state. Combined with a pathological need to virtue signal and be able to say “we voted in the first female Muslim, first Somali, etc. to congress” instead of actually worrying about sending someone good.

Just wait. Like Ellison, all her former sins will be ignored, and she’ll be a star of the DNC.

desert

She would be better off staying in the military instead of getting into the dirt and filth that is our congress imho!

Thunderstixx

The only one I had that did anything is the smarmiest sleazebag lying sack of political shit, Paul Ryan, Speaker of the House.
This moron is so smarmy and so weak spined that he actually makes John, the DC Crier, Boehner look like he had a spine that was at least made out of dry spaghetti instead of the overcooked spaghetti that Ryan has where his spine should be.
Talk about a disappointment Ryan is probably the worst leader the GOP has had since Spiro Agnew.
The man makes me and the rest of the people that are sick of the RINO’s in Congress sick…
Talk about needing to clean the swamp, or sewer which to me is more of an accurate description than the swamp is, that smarmy, weakling, mind numbed, moron needs to leave and leave now…

Thunderstixx, Man don’t hold back, Dude tell us how you really feel. You are among friends here.

“In any advanced society, ‘civil servant’ is a euphemism for ‘civil master.’” – Robert Heinlein

Mick

From the article linked above:

‘Hegar describes herself a private, introverted person who doesn’t seek attention.”

Oh really.

And somehow she’s now considered to be a ‘hero’ for having been the co-pilot in a helicopter that was shot down in Afghanistan in 2009.

— sigh —

OK; got it.

5JC

Tough crowd. There was a little more to it. The whole crew got DFC’s and she also got an enemy marksmanship medal. “The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Mary O. Jennings for heroism while participating in aerial flight as a HH-60 Pave Hawk Co-pilot near Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, on 29 July 2009. On that date, Captain Jennings flew in a two-ship formation, Pedro 15 and Pedro 16, tasked with the urgent medevac of three United States soldiers injured when their convoy was attacked. While Pedro 16 provided cover fire and Shamus 34 and 36 expended Hellfire missiles and .50 caliber rounds, her crew executed a tactical approach to a brown out landing alongside the vehicles. Immediately, the aircraft received a round through Captain Jennings’ windshield, injuring her in the arm and leg. After the aircraft safely lifted, she refused to return to base while part of her team was on the ground. Despite the shattered windshield and wounds to her arm and leg, Captain Jennings and her crew courageously risked their lives to return and rescue the Pararescuemen and patients from the ambush. Once on the ground, Pedro 15 started taking accurate belt-fed heavy machine gun fire, damaging multiple systems. Resisting the urge to escape, she held the Pilot from taking off until the patients were loaded. On takeoff, Captain Jennings saw the number one engine was about to flameout due to fuel loss. She saved the lives of all on board by immediately selecting the number two fuel tank. The disabled aircraft had to land less than two miles away, and she was on the ground taking fire for 18 minutes before being extracted on the skids of an OH-58. On takeoff, Captain Jennings observed muzzle flashes from small arms fire which was aimed at the crew running toward Pedro 16 and provided cover fire for them with her own weapon. The outstanding heroism and selfless devotion to duty displayed by Captain Jennings reflect great credit upon herself and the United States Air Force.” I don’t like her… Read more »

Mason

I’ll agree. DFC w/ V indicates some heroic acts to me.

Mick

I’m not denigrating her actions while she was flying or while she was on the ground. My comment above was poorly written, and I apologize for that. I was a career Marine Corps Aviator; I’ve flown in combat and I’ve been on the receiving end of SAMs, AAA, and small arms fire. If that citation is accurate, she certainly rates the DFC w/V. No argument from me there.

I’m simply pointing out that getting shot down doesn’t automatically make one a ‘hero’, and receiving a DFC w/V and a Purple Heart doesn’t somehow magically make one fit to hold high political office. Her getting shot down and her combat awards are absolutely irrelevant to her political aspirations, and I for one am getting sick of politicians (on both sides of the aisle) trying to leverage experiences such as hers in order to sway an uninformed electorate that is largely ignorant of anything that has to do with the military.

Her experience of getting shot down, her well-earned DFC w/V, and her Purple Heart in no way validate her ability to serve effectively in Congress, nor do they validate her political opinions/perspective, but yet there are going to be gullible voters out there who are going to think “She got shot down and received some medals, so she must know what she’s talking about when it comes to politics. Let’s vote for her.” It’s pure unadulterated bullshit.

For additional examples of what I’m talking about here, please see the political records of decorated combat veterans John McCain, Jim Webb, and Tammy Duckworth. Incompetents all.

Mason

I’m disappointed you didn’t put the big daddy of “I’m a combat veteran with medals, vote for me” John Kerry.

Aside from that, totally agree with your more recent post, Mick. Well said.

Mick

Dammit! You’re right. I don’t know how I managed to leave ‘Lurch’ Kerry off of that list of stellar political performers.

Good catch; thanks.

5JC

No worries. I also served in combat during some of my tours in Iraq, on the ground as an advisor earning the bayonet badge and some other silly bling. I never did anything heroic that I can recall and never even saw anything heroic. I saw some guys trying to make it through a tough year in theater, do their job and come home alive with all their parts attached.

The “hero card” is one that really should not be played due to all the bad shit that has to happen to earn that card.

I agree that doing good in the war means doing good in the war and nothing about doing good in other things like politics or fly fishing. But it does show a snapshot in time aspect of character. And character matters to some people more than their politics. This may not be wise but it is a choice.

McCain for example showed character when he refused to be reptriated ahead of the line and signed up for several more years of torture. At one time I think he was good at his job as a Senator, I guess over the years that slipped away from him. Age and disease gets us all if we live long enough and can diminsh even the best of men. It is sad to see the man he has become and reminds me of my father who also served in Vietnam in McCain’s era, retired a Marine and then eventually succumbed to dementia several years ago.

Musing aside, regardless of whatever she did in the war, politically we are too far apart and I could never vote for her. But I don’t feel as though I am in a good place to judge her character either.

Broadcastmike

I think you both might be missing one major point – she’s not the one waving the hero card, the media is. It’s another sign in a long line of them of the widening gap between the armed forces and the citizenry it serves… if you had the density of veterans in the media that you had, say 50 years ago, that term might not find its way into the lexicon as often as it has relatively recently.

USMC Steve

In any Marine aircraft, the pilot is normally senior and in command of the bird. How did she “hold the pilot and keep him from taking off”? That crap about selecting the other fuel tank is straight out of how to fly the bird and part of her duties, as is stuff like shooting at the enemy when they shoot at you. How over inflated was the writeup and award because she is a woman and the AF was hard on being trendy to show everyone that womyns are the equal of men every way, every day?

USMC Steve

Wonder how lost they got, that an Air Force helo got shot down. They don’t generally get too close to the dangerous stuff on the whole. Ad for leaders and leadership, the Air Force does not really have it. Their corporate culture frowns on such military concepts. More like managers than leaders.

OWB

Leader and manager not mutually exclusive terms. Really. In fact, to be good at either it is very nice to be good at the other.

Meanwhile, the AF mission may not be the same as that of the MC but leadershiip qualities apply no matter the mission, even in the civilian world.

AW1Ed

Why, bless her little heart.

Military.com headline = “Hegar Sued the Pentagon and Won”

Halfway through the article = “Resolution ultimately did not come through the courts — the case remains open.”

Some mighty fine journalism there Military.com. 🙄

5JC

She did win because Panetta changed policy. Consider it an out of court settlement. He was probably going to do it anyway though. She just gave him an excuse.

Mason

If the aim of the lawsuit was solely to change the policy, then I agree with you. That the case remains open indicates someone is looking to either cement the policy change with a legal precedent (legislate from the bench) or get paid. Or both. Probably both.

A Proud Infidel®™️

We all know IDC SARC would hit that!

MSG Eric

Air Force version, I’d definitely hit.

Now version? Not so much.

Cowpill

Who am I kidding, I’d trow it to her.

Mason

Unsubstantiated sexual harassment/assault claims? No thanks.

She (and most of the left) make it sound like the military is all filled with rape, sexism, and racism. Which as anyone who has served in the last 50 years can attest, is just not true.

rgr769

That is one of their favorite drums. It plays well in their world of identity politics. She is undoubtedly running as a D-rat.

UpNorth

She continued, “I think this toxic, hyper-partisanship is part of a gridlock that keeps us from getting anything done in D.C. It disgusts people and makes them tune out, turn off their TVs and stop reading the news. And that’s dangerous.” Says the woman running in the party that is the home of said “toxic, hyper-partisanship”? Yeah, I turn the TV channel when the news dwells on AntiFa, or the travails of those “poor undocumented immigrants” who inhabit sanctuary cities. Or the SJW’s who shut down freeways and shopping districts.

USMC Steve

Then the bitch should not be in the socialist democrat party. They were the ones who started the adversarial politics as an SOP in congress. The other side is just not putting up with it any further.

oldgeezer

Even if elected, she will fall in line and do as she is told. The liberals in Congress will NOT allow any free thinking – only the party line. Sorry, but true. If they want campaign contributions, plumb committee assignments, foreign trips, etc, they will do as they are told.

AW1Ed

Reading this now, after my post below. Great minds, and all that.

Stacy0311

Yep.
And running in Texas, as a Democrat, against an incumbent.

She will (fairly or unfairly) get tagged as just another Democrat who will support San Fran Nan’s left wing program.

Give the congressional Democrats credit, they do enforce party unity and make their members toe the line.

Just ask the Blue Dog Democrats.

NEC338x

The DNC has systematically destroyed the Blue Dog Coalition over the past twelve years. There is no place in national party for anyone who may have an inkling of fiscal sanity or hold slightly conservative positions on life or guns.IMO

USMC Steve

So did the Nazis.

Sapper3307

The sounds of a blue haired banshee with a nose ring come to mind.

AW1Ed

The swamp will drown her, if elected. San Fran Nan, AKA Grammy McBotox, will play the tried and true “Vote like this if you want political backing and campaign dollars in two years, sweetheart” game.

Frankie Cee

“we treat countries that are actively attacking our democracy.”
What is this “democracy” that she speaks of? Does she not know that the United States of America is NOT a “Democracy”, but is a “Constitutional Republic”, a very different concept.

OldSoldier54

This lack of understanding is pretty widespread.

Thus, making Ben Franklimn’s warning spoken just outside of the Constitutional Convention after closing, “A Republic, Madame, if you can keep it,” nearly prophetic in nature.

NEC338x

Selah.

Meanwhile in Michigan, the establishment guy didn’t win the nomination and there may be a possibility in my lifetime to see a republican senator.

Jon The Mechanic

I have heard him talking with Andrew Wilcow on Sirius a couple of times, and I am trying to figure out one thing.

How can he be a Republican, seeing as how they want to put all the blacks back on the plantation? I say this, because that is the attitude of Republicans, according to some of the stupid dipshits like Chuck Schumer or Al Sharpton.

USAF_Pride

The libs are going to have a tough time attacking him. West Point grad, military, not white, …

It’s going to turn into James = Trump = James and the world will end.

Instinct

They’ll just call him a race traitor, Uncle Tom, sellout, and say that he’s not really black.

Standard playbook

OldSoldier54

Alas.

Wireman611

Or John McCain.

5JC

This guy seems really solid. He is a billion times better than lifetime career pol Debbie Does Michigan with her unapologetic catering to her interests.

Unfortunately he is 18 points back in the polls. He is going to need some real help to get things moving.

“Debbie Does Michigan”

THAT…made me laugh out loud! The wife is giving me that look, when I laugh reading comments to myself.

Looking at the 31st (north Austin up to Temple) I am actually surprised it had not already gone Democrat. While I applaud the concept of politicians serving their constituents in isolation, in the real world they serve their biggest contributors. And as a Dem, like Jim Webb, while I can admire some of what they did (12 years enlisted to major? Damn…) as a Dem they will support too many platform planks I cannot.

2/17 Air Cav

She’s an introvert. You can tell that by the fact that she is running for office, out there meeting with strangers and posting videos of herself, not to mention that she published her memoir last year. Here’s my favorite quote from her: “If we elect people who have never been to public school, never had to worry about counting on Social Security, then how can they effectively legislate?” Cripes. Idiocy. I have an idea. Before the next piece of legislation regarding prison reform is introduced, how about we put Congress in prison for a while so they can get experience in the area affected by the legislation.

She was all butt hurt about Critter Carter not meeting with her and she uses that a lot to attack him. Well, who the fuque is she? You try and meet one on one with your critter. Best of luck. If she wins, will she promise to meet one on one with everyone who wants a sit down? She and her ilk of Veterans piss me off no end. The first thing in their ads and out of their mouths is their Veteran status. They know how to use it, and use it they do.

OWB

She sounds pretty much like every other lefty out there and establishment pols in general: We need to sit down and talk about it then do it my way. Anybody who doesn’t agree with me is baaaaaad and a racist/sexis/agist/someortotherist. Just because.

Yeah, she sounds like she really, really, REALLY understands what all us ignorant, backwoods, Bible thumping, gun totin’ ‘Merica loving citizens need. All I hear ftom her so far is what she wants, with nothing about what all of us need.

UpNorth

Yeah, if I want to meet with my representative, I first have to meet with someone from his office, when they happen to be in town. Then, it’s on to one of his two main offices. The closest is about 90 miles away, the other 150. Then, if the meeting is approved, maybe they can schedule a meeting. Likely no. And, I have no problem with that, if everyone wanted a meeting, he’d have to be re-elected until about 40 years past his termination date.
These “special” people, who demand “special” treatment are just laughable.

MSG Eric

“Before the next piece of legislation regarding prison reform is introduced, how about we put Congress in prison for a while so they can get experience in the area affected by the legislation.”

Well, unfortunately many have already had experience with the wrong side of the law. Just a sample:

I guess the plan is to release the movie right before the election and try to get Angelina Jolie to tip the scales in her favor.

I don’t think the word introvert means what she thinks it means.

Roger in Republic

The poor baby. She plays the victim card right out of the gate. Survived a childhood filled with domestic abuse and Gender discrimination in her army career. she seems to check all of the boxes for a Democrat party nomination. No thanks. another one trick pony.

rgr769

Where was the gender discrimination of which she speaks? Must have been in the Air Force. In the Army National Guard she became an officer and a pilot.

CPT11A

I always try to give people a chance beyond simply looking at the letter next to their name. Unfortunately, her Issues section on her website is frustratingly vague, with promises to support “responsible national security policies” and “work with anyone who has a good idea to get results for families here in Texas, regardless of their party”. Whatever the fuck that all means. She’s also endorsed by End Citizens United, which is a lot clearer and not in a positive way.

I loathe leftists and Democrats (but I repeat myself), but I have an extra special loathing for veterans who turn out to be Democrats. How could you turn against everything you stood for? So, the hell with this lady.

Also, as some have said, it’s funny how she’s pissed that her Congressman wouldn’t meet with her. I had to watch that shitty Michael Moore movie Roger and Me once- always thought it was amusing that some fat schmuck thought he just could just stroll into the office of GM’s CEO, and made a whole stupid movie about it when he found out he could not.

rgr769

Roger started his public life as an obese, lying propagandist POS, and he hasn’t done anything since then to disappoint his fans.

OWB

Yeah, that is one of the things that got my attention as well. Even I, who was never all that significant in the grand scheme of things, spent roughly half my time out of the office so you had a good chance of finding me unavailable if you stopped by to see me. When I was in the office, I spent most of my time dealing with stuff I did out of the office, and a significant amount of time in the office when there was nobody “out front” to even tell you if I was or was not in the office.

Bottom line being that pretty much everyone else except special little snowflakes have sense enough to realize that if they want to actually see someone they are much more likely to make that happen if they prearrange a meeting. And ask politely.

In her case, we have no idea whether the congresscritter knew he had a meet with her. If she honked off his scheduler, he or she may have accidently forgotten to put her on his calendar.

Jus Bill

As soon as I hear the words “…our democracy” I know two things will happen:
1. The speaker will identify as Democrat; and
2. Something stunningly self-serving will be said.

Each and every time…

LTC F

She’s running against my congresscritter, John Carter. I’ve voted in nothing but Republican primaries in the 33 years I’ve been eligible to vote. I have never voted D for any federal or statewide office. In November I will be voting for GOV Greg Abbott (R), Sen Ted Cruz (R) and whoever the Libertarian is running against John Carter. John Carter as a judge refused to allow exculpatory eveidence into a murder trial and sent an innocent man to prison for life. (Over Carter’s objections the man was ultimately released after 25 years. The actual killer killed 2 more people in the meantime.). John Carter somehow got rich while serving in Congress.

I won’t shed a tear if Hegar is elected, but I will vote against her in 2020.

“John Carter somehow got rich while serving in Congress.” Isn’t that amazing how so many critters magically become the wisest investors once they get into office?

I’ve a friend who is running for Congress in the 41st District of California. Her name is Aja Smith and she is not only a veteran but has a long history of military service in her family. Her father was a Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (E-10) and she had an uncle who as a Tuskegee airman. If by chance any of you live in that district, please assist her in her efforts to defeat the leftist that is currently holding the office. She literally is “grass roots”.

Garold: What a wonderful woman with a proud military background. I hopes she does well.

Question:

I notice she is wasaaearing her military uniform in her campaign picture.

I thought that according to Defense Department policy, former or inactive members of the military who use photos of themselves in uniform on their campaign fliers or websites must include “a prominent and clearly displayed disclaimer that neither the military information nor photographs imply endorsement by the Department of Defense or their particular Military Department.”

Does she know about this..
or am I wrong?

Garold: You mentioned you wanted to share a recipe with us.

Ex-PH2 created this site last Thursday:

Looking forward in seeing your recipe.

Garold

I posted two. Give them a shot.

Garold

Good point, AP, I’ll bring that to her attention. I’ve just been too proud of her that I do overlook things.

MSG Eric

Just a minor point, there is no such thing as “E-10” in the military. The highest enlisted grade is E-9. That is regardless of what position they serve in, it only goes from E-1 to E-9. Commissioned Officers go from O-1 to O-10, however.

Garold

Greetings Eric, that would be incorrect. There is indeed the rank of E-10 and I’m certain others on this site will attest to that. It is reserved for but a select few.

AnotherPat

Hi, Garold.

Perhaps you meant to say her Grandfather George W. Hawkins was an Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, an E9 postion.

Air Force E10 are known as Chief Master Sergeants of the Air Force. I found 18 of them. Which one is her Dad? :

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chief_Master_Sergeant_of_the_Air_Force

Garold

I may have misunderstood her. I’ll clarify that with her next week. Even though we work in the same squadron we don’t talk politics much. I’ve heard her interviewed on the radio three or four times and must say she can really hold her own. But it was from one of those interviews I came away with the notion her father as a CMSgt of the AF and not just a Chief.

MSG Eric

After over two decades in the Army, I’m pretty sure I’d know if there was an “E-10” pay grade. Pay Grades (E1-E9 & O1-O10) are the same across every branch. Each branch has a highest enlisted member of their service (Sergeant Major of the Army, Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, and Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force), but they are all still at pay grade E-9. Even the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is an E-9 (currently Army CSM Troxell). While they are a really big deal because they are the senior enlisted member of their service, I’ve even seen a Sergeant Major of the Army’s ID Card (Said E-9).

First article is an example of the “discussion” to make an E-10 and E-11 pay grade, second is Air Force ranks/pay grades. Should there be an E-10 pay grade? Tough call, though Sergeants Major are already fairly political so that might make them even worse. lol

https://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/07/14/army-mulls-creating-new-pay-grades-for-senior-ncos.html

https://www.military.com/air-force/enlisted-ranks.html

MSG Eric

Just one more point, they also do make extra pay for being in a position at that level. All E-9s in the Army (not 100% on all services) make extra pay each month for serving as the senior enlisted member for a General Officer and it goes up the more stars the GO is wearing.

Roh-Dog

Roh-Dog ‘liked’ your correct usage of “Sergeants Major“

jonp

Yes. Much like someone that knows what State Attorneys General are and how to use it.

MSG Eric

I’ve had more than one debate with somebody who was a college graduate about why it is Sergeants Major vs Sergeant Majors. Only occasionally did it hurt my head to explain.

Roh-Dog

In my experience, college does not the Man make.
If a group of E-9s were throwing a formal event after retreat, would the plural possessive be Sergeants Major’s, as in Sergeants Major’s Ball?
-giggles-

SFC D

It could be neither. I’ve seen many a Sergeant Major with no balls.

MSG Eric

Guys, hurry up and bring back the like button so I can like this!

Garold

Greetings Eric, I’m still trying to figure out where I got that information. I do recall when I was told that I was surprised. It may have been on one of the NATO posters I brought back from Bosnia. It’s still hung up on the wall in my old office when I was in the TALCE so I’ll see this week is that be the case. So far what I’ve found on line is the CMSAF is given the status of E-9 (special) but I know I came across the other rank somewhere.

Garold

It looks like I stepped on my dick not once but twice. It was Aja Smith’s grandfather (WWII, Korean, Vietnam War vet) who was a Chief Master Sergeant IN the Air Force, not OF the Air Force. I heard her wrong. Also, I can find no evidence of my claim that CMSgt’s of the AF are E-10s. I cannot for the life of me remember where I picked that up; though it made sense to me at the time. I also have to let my father know that because he’d called me a few years ago and asked if I’d retired as an E-10 and I told him that was a special rank.

If I’m voted off the island I will more than understand. Then again if I don’t screw up at least once a day I simply don’t feel complete. It also proves what I’ve suspected for a while – that the wheel is spinning but the hamster’s dead. All I know right now is that “in the near future there will be no wars … but there will be … Roller Ball!”

DirtDart

It sounds lot like a Tammy Duckworth scenario… But am soo jaded correct me if am wrong.

Ex-PH2

Hmmm… she sued the Pentagon (with “others” included in the suit as litigants).

Why didn’t she just sue the pants off the person who assaulted her when she was on active duty? I’d be more impressed by that.

Tiresome. Same old same old same old. “I can do SO much more than everybody who is there, once I get there….” and then silence.

I think I’d vote for my cat Punkin first, because she shows me the results of her active hunts for rodents.

Good for Punkin!

Mason

A vote against Punkin is a vote for dirty, disease-carrying rodentia.

The Stranger

A vote against Punkin is a vote for The Plague! And I don’t even really like cats.

FatCircles031-

She ain’t no John James.

OldSoldier54
