McCain refuses bite at s*** sandwich
Personally, I’m shocked (and I remain skeptical) at the email I got from John McCain. All of his talk about bi-partisanship had me worried that he was ready to take his bite of the Obama’s shit sandwich. But then I got this email from him this morning;
In the email, McCain says that he appreciates Obama’s reaching across the aisle to Republicans, but that the bill is so full of pork that he won’t bite.
I believe we need to evaluate every bit of spending in this stimulus proposal with one important criteria – does it really stimulate the economy and help create jobs – if the answer is no, it does not belong in a so-called stimulus package. Furthermore, the stimulus must include significant direct relief to American workers in the form of payroll tax cuts and programs to help homeowners keep their homes. Finally, we need an end game to this stimulus so that when our economy recovers, these spending programs do not remain permanent and saddle our children with a skyrocketing national debt.
Finally, a bipartisan McCain I get on board with – now if he can just hold the line for four more years without folding like a Kmart lawn chair. The link to sign his petition is here if you’re so inclined.

Really?!? We can always go back and resind some of the monies if we dont need them! Its got to be better to give the ok to have that available if we need it then to say no and just let people suffer?! I cant believe all the things I’m reading on this site!

First of all, define “we”. Secondly, when was the last time government decided it didn’t need some money and decided to “resind” us some money?
LOL Jonn, yeah, I can’t count the times the government decided they’d taken too much money and decided to “resind” it back to the taxpayers. “Confused” is just a perfect s/n for this clueless hack.
Uhm, didnt we just get a 600 or 1200 tax rebate check last year? Theres one prime example of when the Govt gave money back.
Or let me guess, you all are well above the income bracket and dindt get a check, so its easy to forget about it.

Oops, Confused has me, I did get my money back from the government, let me repeat that, my money. Maybe if they didn’t want to fund ACORN, abortions, bees, various other voter fraud organizations, and just tried to do what NEEDED to be done, I’d give it a thought. But not now. And the Zero’s front man still can’t say how many or if any jobs will be “created” from this monstrosity. Other than government, union jobs to expand the dems base.
For real, this will be like the infamous AUMF for Iraq vote after the economy inevitably goes tits up. The GOP will look back on which Senators (if any) voted for this gigantic turd and they will be ridiculed. When has Keynesian economics ever worked? Game over man.
