The Coyote’s Howl
A coyote stops to howl near the Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone National Park. Your Shot photographer Glenn M. writes, “Another pair of intrepid photographers had gone out to look for this coyote based on its howls, and the coyote ended up coming to us.”

Parade Of Bombers tomorrow, Sat. 28 July. Looking forward to watching them.
“The B-1, B-2, and B-52 will all fly as part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the 8th Air Force on Saturday, July 29. The modern bombers will be followed by two B-29s, two B-17s, several B-25s, and an A-20, plus more yet to be announced, in a parade of bombers. If 2017 is the year of the bomber, then Saturday is bomber day.”

I wasted the quarter hour between 1 and 115 hitting F5 and hoping for a top 5. Then I left for 10 min and am barely top 30.
Oh well, in a month or two, I will just say I was first, for about 4 months in a row, yeah that’s the ticket…
I could call it…. Honorary First. Maybe I’ll run out of gas on the way to the liquor store tonight and sue Exxon
Happened to me last week. I couldn’t hold it in any longer and went to drop a deuce and no sooner than I got back, I was 50 or 60 something.
Provisional Proxy First, yet again!!!
30nd!
Dammit, work got me again!
BHWHAHAHAHA ! ! ! ! ! !
So how do all of my Republican friends feel today looks like McCain or Fang showed every one last night how he really rolls.
Unfortunately I live in Arizona and have to put up with his crazy shit
Next he has to pass a bill to protect Bill and Hillary Clinton from crazy Trump
And then he is going after our gun rights and as he said at a town hall here a few weeks ago
To figure out a way to stop voter initiatives here in Arizona and in other states because we the
people Are as he said Stupid and dumb and listen to to much talk radio and as he also stated
Only a morons voted for Trump Lol..
I Think we have found put of the problem with America carpet baggers like McCain need to go
Hope all on here have a happy and safe weekend
McCain showed himself a true Blue Falcon last night.
Don’t lump me in with that clown!
CA-CAW!
He’s got his brain tumor to worry about, doesn’t he? His life expectancy may be 18 months to 5 years, depending on its aggressive growth pattern, but that does not mean he will not lose his marbles completely before then.
Just call him what he is: a democrap in GOPer clothing.
I hope the VA in Phoenix treated him well….. Oh never mind. He is too good for treatment at a VA hospital. Oh well…
He’s getting his treatment at the Mayo Clinic
At our expense, haven forbid he doesn’t enough
Money
Tweet from DPRK News Service:
“Impotent Tortoise McConnell feebly prepares for Flatulent Ape Donald Trump’s rage after Successful Uprising led by Elderly Idiot McCain.”
A couple of bonus tweets, as that account is in rare form today:
“US deputy Warlord Steve Bannon reported to possess amazing prehensile male appendage, of sort longed for by all US politicians and reporters.”
“@DPRK_News editors still struggling with how to print obscenity of parasite-infested rectum Anthony Scaramucci in child-friendly publication.”
Skippy, I’ll never understand McCain, ever. Being a vet and going through all he did as a POW, you would think he would be as pro American and pro Constitution as they could come. But no. He likes Bill and Hillary and doesn’t want any truth about them to come out, much less justice being served. He doesn’t like guns or law abiding citizens having them. He’s gone so far left, he should in honesty, come out of the closet and cross the aisle.
I think when a person in public service, especially at his level is diagnosed with a thought altering disease, democrat or republican, they should be independently evaluated for competency. If he were a LEO or Fire Fighter, he would be sitting at a desk at least or forcibly retired.
But not in our system. Ginsburg is on the bench of the highest court and I’m not sure she has a pulse. McCain has his diagnosis and the list goes on.
I have longed for a test for all elected officials when they are running for office that is at least as difficult as the one given for people seeking citizenship and preferably much harder on US history, the Constitution and even basic math and geography. Congressman Hank Johnson was fearful that Guam would tip over. And just anything that comes out of Corrine Brown’s or Maxine Water’s mouth is just laughable. Laughable until I realize these idgits are voting for legislation that makes or breaks our nation, one bill at a time.
The “Joke” here in Arizona is that every six years McCain switches parties. At election time he pretends he is a Republican.
Amazing that someone who has had their brain removed can function as a Senator and no one in DC notices.
I’m extremely sorry he has brain cancer. Its not fair to the cancer.
IMHO McCain SHOULD have been put out to the proverbial pasture after he lost the 2008 Presidential race BUT NOOOOO, the goddamn D.C. Insider Country Club mudda-fuckin’ kept him in office.
If that tumor affects his mind, you may start to see him slowly falling apart. Keep an eye on him. I think he’ll be gone before he falls down. We all know he can be quite stubborn. Without that stubbornness, he wouldn’t have survived Hanoi. But it can be lost just as easily as it shows up now.
McCain is a great man and a true American hero.
But as with all things, they must come to pass.
He should move on and enjoy his retirement.
A note is his track record of screwing people in the military
And retires look at the cost of cigs and liquor at the class six
The cost of gas and look at the prices at the commissary
You can thank McCain for that it is all apart of his
war Against us and lobbyist paying his ass off and free trips about
The world, isn’t not hard to find it’s unbelievable that no one
In the media hasn’t called his ass out
But the democrats love him because he has no issues knifing his own party in the back, congress needs to be cleaned up the
Filthy scoundrels need a bath it’s amazing how they are all freaking out over trump
Of all the criticism of McCain’s vote, none of them include a defense of the bill he voted against.
I don’t anyone who has explained the substance of the skinny repeal and it’s virtues as law. It seemed like a way to get to conference where the 52 Senators who could not agreed to repeal would add 226? Housemembers who could barely agree to repeal.
The House leadership correctly saw it as an attempt to spread the political blame of failing to repeal Obamacare beyond the Senate and wouldn’t guarantee not to make skinny “repeal” law.
McCain instead absorbs the blame for the GOP not repealing Obamacare, which is completely unfair. Paul Ryan wouldn’t allow a vote on it. And 7 GOP Senators voted against a straight repeal in the Senate when that failed.
The entire process was political theater to not repeal Obamacare because craven political liars wanted to run for office on the platform but we’re afraid of the political consequences for actually doing it.
The bigger picture here is simple McCain like Dirty Harry
Up in Nevada has never had any issues with playing games with elections every six years he spends more Money in the democratic and republican primaries then he does in the election
Talk about manipulation of the vote. His last election all of his TV commercials and his BIG MOUTH was non-stop dump OBUMMER CARE at any cost I’ll find some links and post them for your entertainment, and then in true I’ve been paid off fashion
He pulls this shit that is the reason I didn’t vote for his carpet bagging ass people here are pissed about the stunt he pulled
Off here, If they could re-call his ass they would..
me I knew better I voted for the democrate because at least
I knew they were going to screw me insted of this ass-hole playing his games
there will be hell the pay for all 7 of them watch wait and see
The object lesson:
One may be tough enough to resist lengthy torture by barbarians, in an extended tour of the Hanoi Hilton,
but be corrupted by an extended tour of Washington DC.
Ummmm….
Oh never mind…
Sixty twooth…
……and one day closer to the month of August when “he shall not be named” will be soon getting a new pair of duds (in the color of orange) and meet some fine new friends (Bubba, Thor, Julio, etc.).
Let the festivities begin!
Don’t be forgetting about Mr. “Tiny”… “he who shall not be named” won’t be forgetting Mr. “Tiny”
He is not the only one that will be appearing in court in August. If you happen to be in the National Capital Region on August 09, and have nothing to do at 08:00, mosey on over to the courthouse in Montgomery County and check out Case Number 060200196492015.
So I guess we know his new home address.
$4750/mo to rent that POS?
Rental property inside the DC Beltway ain’t cheap.
Still kicking the can down the road after 19mo, eh? Wonder if his legal bills have exceeded the amount in question yet?
One can hope.
All right now. I have a pack of flour tortillas waiting to be used. I am thinking seriously of making chicken quesadillas this weekend, but I’ll have to get peppers and sweet corn on the cob and some tortilla chips. Even so, the weather is cooler and I almost feel like cooking, so here’s the recipe for CHICKEN QUESADILLAS, on the back of the tortilla pack.
CHICKEN QUESADILLAS:
cooking oil (I use corn oil for frying)
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts of thighs, cut into strips
1/2 cup sliced green onions (include part of the tails)
1 large yellow pepper, cut into strips (you can add red peppers to this, too)
6 medium flour tortillas
1 large diced tomato (not peeled)
1/2 cup cooked pinto beans
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese
In regard to quantity of ingredients, more is always better than less. Less is never more.
Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken, onions and peppers. Sautee while stirring until chicken is cooked.
Put tortillas on a flat surface. Cover one half with chicken/veggie mix, tomato, and beans.
Sprinkle with both cheeses. Fold each tortilla in half.
Put quesadillas on a non-stick baking sheet and bake in the oven at 400F for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven, slice each in half, service with sour cream, guacamole of salsa or all three – your choice.
That’s just one dish, not a whole meal, so add the following:
Sweet corn on the cob (lots of butter)
Fresh salsa rojo (tomatoes, onion, garlic, hot or mild peppers, salt, parsley or cilantro)
Tortilla chips (corn, not flour)
Refritos (mashed cooked and seasoned pinto beans)
And for afters, cheesecake with ice cream, fresh fruit, brick cheese and crackers, and wine and/or cold beverages.
Friend of mine has been doing chicken salad and nan bread for lunch….damned if it doesn’t look really good.
Ah, naan bread. They have it at Aldi now. I have to try it. It’s another form of flatbread, like tortillas and pizza crust.
Flatbread history goes back something like 6,000 years, maybe as far back as 10,000 years.
Just in case anyone is wondering, it is women in Egypt who soaked grains in water to soften them, thus inventing beer. Women, in fact, with the aid of the goddess Hathor, ran all the breweries. You guys owe us big time for the invention of beer.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Oh my that sounds good! I love good mexican food! My Dad used to make some of the best green chili I have ever had! I will have to see if I can remember the recepie sometime? It always went good with anything!!!
Be GENEROUS with the cheese!
The recipe for a quesadilla seems more complicated than it needs to be, Ex. An easier way is to think of it like making a grilled cheese sandwich using a flour tortilla instead of bread, and without butter or oil in the pan:
Put some shredded cheese on half of a large flour tortilla. Add to that some “pulled” chicken from what’s leftover from a roasted bird or barbecue. Add to that a small amount of chopped onion, chili peppers, or salsa, but try to keep it dry. You don’t need beans. Beans are for burritos.
Fold the blank half of the tortilla over the other half and transfer things to a pan or griddle on medium heat. You might need to keep moving the quesadilla to keep it from sticking. Cook things until the bottom half of the tortilla starts to brown and flip it over. Keep cooking until the cheese melts, pull from the heat, cut into wedges,
Y Roberto es tu tío…
Even easier is to throw that flour tortilla into a hot cast iron skillet, load up half the tortilla, fold it over when it gets crispy. Or kind of sprinkle a thin layer over it all then fold it in half when melty. Depending upon how big the tortilla is, cut into at least three pieces, maybe many more.
Anyway, that combo sounds pretty tasty, Ex. The original idea behind the quesadilla might have been a way to make something good using just the cheese and pico or salsa without any fuss or extra dirty dishes.
I like ALL these additional ideas!
Have you considered using an outside grill to provide the heat source for these gems of culinary artistry?
No, because there are squirrels around here who will steal everything that is not tied down.
Ma’am, those aren’t squirrels that are stealing grills. That is something that the local Meth Heads would be doing. Go to your local tackle shop, and tell the nice man there that you would like about 50 feet of 50 pound test fishing line, and then tie one end to the grill leg, coil the remainder and tie the other end to a porch post. They will be at full run when they hit the end of the line, drop the grill with much noise, and you can hit them on the head with a skillet. Sorta like the videos of the guys tying cable to a bait bicycle.
Back when I was a kid we’d have cheese crisps–similar to quesadillas but you did use a bit of butter when you grilled the tortilla.
Add a little Hatch green chiles to it…heaven.
TOP 50!
I took off for a quiet lunchtime at the courthouse gazebo, enjoying the breeze and watching the mockingbird bring treats to her young.
Rain in the forecast for the AO, but I should be able to get a little of the grass cut beforehand. All grandkids are present and accounted for. My brother should be out of the hospital today. Life is good.
all work and no WOT makes the retired SGM about forty-leventh….
Here in the Valley of Paradise, when you are too ugly to get a girlfriend, just wait til Dark Thirty and wander over to the local horse stable and have a good time:
http://www.nwfdailynews.com/news/20170728/valparaiso-man-charged-with-sexually-molesting-horse
(Note to DRG), said stable^^^ is now under heavy camera surveillance.
His mother is just glad that at least now he is in a stable relationship.
Groan!!!
I have used that line at least three times in regards to men having sex with horses. As long as they keeping banging those horses, I’ll keep using that line.
Florida Department of Corrections still shows Kyle Christopher Barwan as being on Community Control, living in a trailer in Riverview, Florida. He can only leave to go to a LAWFUL job, so he is pretty much on House Arrest, since he don’t do “reglar werk”. It must suck to be such a slacker. Changes may be coming to the life of William Derek Church soon. Keeping each of their name up in lights may help innocent people in the future. Gooooooooooooooooogle is such a nice thing, giving these posers the fame they deserve.
The Round Ranger in trouble with the law? What will Will Chamberlain do without his jump buddy?
William Derek Church is in trouble with the law? I hadn’t heard. Thanks for the info. He needs that sort of pressure too.
Roger that.
Thanks for the update.
A video to go with the thread photo, Inca Spirit:
Top 100?
Well, I’ll start by saying that I feel very pessimist right now, because I visited American Thinker and saw a bunch of retards saying stupid things.
If people there do not understand the principles of free market capitalism, what can we expect from the rest of teh internetz?
We got an opportunity to save America, and I see so many people wasting it.
There is a reason why America produces 25% of the world’s GDP with 4% of the population. It is called free market capitalism, what we have left of it after 8 years of the community organizer in chief, and these effing losers are trying to stop us from releasing our full potential to push the whole effing world over the horizon.
I am getting really tired of the liberals, rinos, communists, progressives, socialists, communists, collectivists, and democrats.
America is not only a gift the founding fathers gave to us, it is also a gift to the world. Not other nation have ever freed as many people in as many countries, while raising what really really matters. Their standard of living. And all this in 241 years.
If free market capitalism is such an awful thing, then why are the Chinese and other such countries milking it for everything they can get?
Could it be that it’s the ONLY way to make a country prosperous and independent?
Stay tuned for the howlings about people like me who expect those SJW howlers monkeys to pull their own weight. Where I come from, they are called slackers, bnums, freeloaders, and a whole bunch of other things, none of them complimentary.
Okay, troops! Who called the MP’s? Lets get those duffel bags, foot and wall lockers opened up for inspection. Any and all contraband may or may not be confiscated!
Well, OK, but it’ll take me quite a while to find my duffle bag.
I pulled one out the other day because my daughter wanted to use it for a camping trip, but it was my son’s. Mine was lost or thrown away forever ago. I don’t know why no one thought of putting on those two shoulder straps back in my day, as hauling around a fully loaded one with that one strap was a PITA.
The POTUS really needs to start following Facebook, so that he can avail himself of the experts on running the White House. He is missing a lot, because they know so much about how things should be done. There is so much to be learned, I have seen suggestions on how he should do everything except wipe his butt, (and I probably missed that one).
Not First!!
For today’s Russian lesson, I’m taking you back to Mod 1, Lesson 1, Russian Basic Course, circa 1986. Letters that sound like your English equivalents:
А As in “father”
О As in “so”
К As in “crab”
М As in “mama”
Т As in “tick” but further back on the roof of
your mouth. No jokes, please.

Going back to a certain time we know about 30 years ago, a certain underway where one of my fellow nukes was wearing a fur hat with a Soviet Naval Infantry emblem on it, and a certain Sonar Tech who had razor blades taped to each wrist and a dotted line drawn with a Sharpie with the instructions, “In case of counter detection, open on dotted lines.”
Ah, good times.
Oh, and not first. Somebody had to keep the lights on.
LOL… frickin’ nukes.
CTIC(SS) (Ret)
Continuing our exploration of the Russian sound and script, here are letters that are similar to English letters, but the sounds are different:
В Sounds like V, as in “vote”
Н Sounds like N, as in “note”
Р Sounds like R, as in “rota,” but trilled as
in the Spanish language
С Sounds like S, as in “sucker”
Х Sounds like H, but as in ch in “Bach”
У Sounds like oo, as in “moon”

For some reason, I just find this funny: http://www.coachmiketraining.com
He’s a former “NATO Commando.” I’ve seen other mentions of graduating number one in a “French Foreign Legion school.”
And that picture of him standing in a freshly plowed German beet field with an M60 MG w/ blank adapter provides legitimate proof of his claim to being a NATO Recon Commando.
That’s right. You heard it here first. He’s the real deal./snark
Here’s more on “SGT Mike”:
* Served in the U.S. Army as a recon commando; 1986-1994
http://www.coachmiketraining.com/about-mike/
http://www.coachmiketraining.com/photo-gallery/about-mike/
“Recon Commando” my ass. Mike was apparently stationed in the old FRG (Federal Republic of Germany) before the Wall came down in Berlin. His unit apparently did some stuff with a French unit, which happened all the time back in those days. I’d have to see the written proof to believe he went to any coursed conducted the French Foreign Legion. And the picture of him in the driver’s seat looks like it was taken in an M113, IIRC, as it was a long time ago that I was responsible for four of them.
I’m betting he was the M577 (M113 series) Command Post Carrier Driver for the S-2/S-3 TOC of some outfit with the 1st Inf Div (F). He’s wearing a 1st ID patch in the beet field photo.
Those guys (S-3 clerks and drivers) always sucked off all the outside of unit training slots before the slots were ever opened to the line companies.
He is undoubtedly REMF material, as real infantrymen don’t run their mouths about being super duper foreign trained “commandos.”
The desert looking photo is nice also. Take note of the figures on trigger’s, note very commando like.
Isn’t that in the American southwest somewhere?
It’s Seattle. Mike probably had to make a choice between starting a Nerf commando school or becoming a topless barista…
Is he wearing MARPAT pants with an Army PT shirt?
I don’t even know what to say. By the way, what’s the MOS for “Recon Commando”?
I dunno, but I think the job title for it is spelled REMF.
That photo!
Been away for a week on vacation and while visiting some graves at Bourne National Cemetery saw a coyote crossing through a section.
Oh, and they now have a fucking giant windmill across from the admin bldg. I just may reconsider my final resting place.
Is it really the weekend? Kinda lost track of things the past couple of weeks – had a major construction project going on day and night. But it’s done. Oh, a bit of clean up still, and getting some of the tools back to their owners. Phew. That’s done.
