Navy Captain Alan Damian Dorrbecker, convicted perv

| June 10, 2017

Silentium Est Aureum sends us a link to the story of Navy Captain Alan Damian Dorrbecker who was sentenced to eight years for sexual abuse of a girl younger than 16 years old;

Dorrbecker also will forfeit his pay and be dismissed from the Navy, marking the end of an otherwise distinguished career that included commanding the attack submarine USS Greeneville and serving two years in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon.

The charges stem from Dorrbecker’s efforts to arrange a meeting with the girl for sexual purposes while stationed in Naples, Italy, with Naval Forces Europe. The Virginian-Pilot generally does not identify victims of sexual assault.

Charge sheets say Dorrbecker sexually abused and assaulted the girl beginning in August 2015 when he sent her several lewd emails and attempted to meet with her in November and December of that year.

That didn’t take long – the Navy just said that he’d face a court martial in April when we first wrote about him.

Better put this sick fuck on suicide watch.

Guard Bum

Better yet, don’t put him on suicide watch and let nature take its course.

Twist

I was literally getting ready to type this exact same thing when I hit the reply button.

Instinct

Exactly.

The Other Whitey

Even better, hang his worthless ass.

C2Show

Wouldn’t be surprised!

Ex-PH2

It was in Italy? No, you guys have it all wrong. Bag him, tag him, send him to Sicily. The Cosa Nostra is dealing with African migrants there. Let them handle this useless piece of floating trash.

A Proud Infidel®™

Fine by me if he offs himself, that’ll save the taxpayers some money.

C2Show

Reading the story through the link…wow.

Navy SAs TCAP’d his ass. He shows up to the house with lube…sick fucker.

Surprised they got him for sexual abuse, I am guessing they used the photos he sent to the girl. Or attempted to groom her in messages.

Worse, dumbass tried to pick a serviceman daughter.

8 years is definitely not enough. Doesn’t say if he is to be a registered sex offender.

The Old Maj

He will have to be. It is felony sex abuse.

Forest Green

He doesn’t have to register until he leaves prison. Until then, the only sex being offended will be his.

C2Show

yes, but usually during sentencing they usually say tell the person that they will have to register as a sex offender upon release. Or if he will be monitored while logging on a computer or possibly even prohibited from using internet.

Nowhere in the article though does it actually say it. Whether its 10, 15 or lifetime registered sex offender

Hack Stone

I think that once they are convicted, they automatically get registered as a sex offender. I know two (now former) Marines that did Time as sex offenders. One was a Staff Sergeant that had a series of charges to include but not limited to taking upskirt videos at the Camp Pendleton PX, and some non-specific charges (that I am unaware of) who got busted to Private and six months in the brig. With time like that, it had to be kiddie porn. When he was released from the brig and separated, he ended up getting convicted of molesting his kids. While incarcerated, he was listed on the California Sex Offender Registry. His sex offender photo made him look like Woody Harrelson in Natural Born Killers. The other guy was a Staff Sergeant who made a series of bad decisions, and the Marine Corps decided that it would be in everyone’s best interest if they parted ways after 15 years of service. His Facebook page went quiet for a few years, so I entered his name online, and the first thing that came up was his listing as a sexual predator in Florida. He won’t be leaving his current residence until about 2024. Does Florida list all of their perverts as sexual predators, or is that a different category from sex offender?

19Delta

Different category.

According to Florida statutes, a sexual offender is a person convicted of (or who has pled no contest or guilty to) a sex offense involving a minor and who is released on or after October 1, 1997 from the sanction (e.g., fine, incarceration, probation, etc.) imposed as a result of the offense. Offenses include, but aren’t limited to, child pornography, sexual performance by a child under 18 and procuring a person under 18 for purposes of prostitution. Consult the Florida statutes for a complete listing of offenses.

A predator designation requires that a person be convicted of a first-degree felony sex crime, or two second-degree felony sex crimes (with offenses, convictions or release from court sanctions occurring within 10 years) and which occurred after October 1, 1993. In addition, the court must issue a written order finding for predator status.

Commissar

Looks like he was convicted of charges related to his conduct in his ATTEMPT to sexually abuse a child. Best I can tell from the story the parents were concerned and the NCIS intervened in time to protect the child. Using agents posing as the child in communications and arranging a meet catch a predator style.

C2Show

I think the parents were actually sailors. Since the daughter was a summer job hire.

AW1Ed

Lock him up and throw the cell away.

A Proud Infidel®™

Weld his cell door shut as soon as it closes.

John Robert Mallernee

Assuming that he isn’t murdered by fellow inmates during his prison term, what happens when he is eventually returned to the streets?

Does he still get his Navy retirement pension?

Who’s going to hire him, and in what kind of job?

At his advanced age, will he receive a Social Security pension?

What does anyone do when they’ve been in prison for any category of crime, and one day, are released back into society?

How do they survive without resorting once more to criminal activity?

A Proud Infidel®™

He was Dismissed which is the the Officer equivalent of a Dishonorable Discharge for Enlisted Personnel, thus NO pay or benefits whatsoever. This includes benefits for his family who he also heavily shafted with his misconduct.

C2Show

Was he married, hard to believe he still is (Wife probably divorced his ass 1 month into his charges)

The Old Maj

He will still be eligible for Social Security when eligible. He could get a job working just about anywhere that does not do a background check. He will be mid 50s when he gets out I guess he will end up selling cars.

He will do it again if he thinks he can get away with it.

A Proud Infidel®™

Pedophiles typically have the highest recidivism rate among all types of criminals.

Instinct

Which is why it’s one of the crimes that I am all for making eligible for the death penalty.

Murder, rape, child molestation all destroy lives and there is no reason those predators should ever walk free.

David

Every dealer I know background checks pretty much everyone associated with the money or cars. It’s kinda embarrassing to have to report that ‘yeah, he split with a $50K F250 and no, we didn’t know he was a four-time car thief.’ They overlook some things, but giving a predator a venue to cruise and try again?

Hack Stone

Not only that, but sexual offenders are usually barred from living or working within specified distances from schools, playgrounds or other places that children are known to congregate.

A few years ago, while working as a slimy contractor on Quantico, one of my female coworkers was contemplating renting a room in the town of Quantico, and walking to work. For those that are not aware, the town of Quantico is completely surrounded by the Quantico Base and the Potomac. Anyway, she went over to the police station and asked the police officer if it would be a good idea to rent a room in the town, and he highly discouraged it due to the high concentration of registered sex offenders. Hack was curious, so he got on Al Gore’s Amazing Internet and did some research. The town is less than .1 square miles, and has less than 500 residents, but my online check showed about eight registered sex offenders in the town. That has to be one of the highest concentrations of registered sex offenders by population and area. The only explanation is that they have no schools in that sleeepy little town. As of this morning, they have only two living there.

Thunderstixx

There is no depth to the hatred I feel for these pukes.
I hope that he does get shipped to some place that he can join the likes of the rest of the scum that do this to little girls…

A Proud Infidel®™

As I see it:

1. Rope.
2. Tree or Gallows.
3. Pedophile.

Some assembly required.

IDC SARC

just boot stomp him…no assembly required

Gravel

Less assembly required … you still have to put the boot on, and tie the laces. 😉

IDC SARC

True, but I’m almost always wearing boots…don’t always have the accoutrements of a hanging. We could combine the concepts and choke slam him, before the stomping.

IDC SARC

If there’s time enough why not do it right and blood eagle his sorry hide?

A Proud Infidel®™

Or make him run a gauntlet of parents with ball peen hammers.

IDC SARC

the blood eagle concept might get us an NEA grant on artistic merit…which means free booze

OWB

But think of the difficulty of cleaning the scum off you boots.

Ex-PH2

Just turn him over to the Cosa Nostra. No one will ever know what happened to him.

11B-Mailclerk

Chain him to the wheel, of the next target of a Sink-Ex.

AW1Ed

USS Mabus.

Jonp

This story is written oddly. It says he is being dismissed for “sexually abusing and assaulting” a girl under 16yrs but above that it says he “attempted to arrange a meeting”.

You can be convicted of sexual abuse and assault for emailing someone?

Commissar

He appears to have been charged for his conduct in the attempt to abuse a child. It looks as though NCIS intervened in time to protect the child.

UCMJ can cover this kind of conduct even if thermoses itself never occurred.

Though, the emails may have constituted a sexual abuse depending on how explicit they were.

The Old Maj

Sexual Assault always involves physical contact with the victim. It could be an attempt. Eight years is pretty harsh for an attempt but not unheard of given the circumstances. Very few civilian courts would go that far.

Instinct

Maybe the should.

OWB

It was way more than a stray email.

Scum of the earth. Disgusting on steroids on steroids.

Bill M

This is likely the one time he was caught. It is possible that other evidence of previous attempts was found but insufficient evidence to charge. This may account for the severity of the sentence. I also suspect severity was affected by the fact that he was a Navy Captain. Nice job screwing up your family’s future, a**hole.

Green Thumb

Maggot.

timactual

He might want to keep the condoms and personal lubricant and take it with him to his next “duty station”.

Is it common for 15 year old children to get jobs on naval bases?

C2Show

Its common for 15 years to get jobs on Air Force, Army and overseas bases. Summer for hire program. I did it back in the early 90s. About 10 dollars a hour and gets you experience and understanding of certain jobs.

When I did it, I was working in post office and supply for Air Force. Of course, Post Office became a special duty so waste of my time.

C2Show

*15 year olds. DoD program I believe, summer hire. When I was in Camp Zama some of my co workers kids were doing it.

Stephen McCartney

Sadly the family of this pervert will pay the price. “Dismissed” apparently leaves the family without the
earned benefits/pension of a retired family leader.
Sitting alone in a cell, thinking of that would eat away at most people.

The QUESTION :Suicide watch or natural selection?
If he is smart enough to skipper a sub, he’ll likely figure out how to end his life. Get ready

CAPT Bones USN (ret)

Silentium Est Aureum

His family (specifically his son) is a sick fucking pud as well.

When Greeneville was in the yards in Portsmouth, sonny thought it would be a hoot to torture and mutilate a cat, then write a message behind a school using the cat’s blood.

C2Show

Is that story in relation to this dude?!?! Wow!

OWB

That is some very serious stuff right there. Used to be that folks that demented had some serious mommy issues. In today’s world, maybe it applies to daddys as well? Gotta be fair, after all.
