Navy Capt. Alan Damian Dorrbecker faces charges of tickle monstery
Military.com reports that Navy Captain Alan Damian Dorrbecker, a submarine warfare officer assigned to Submarine Force Atlantic, is going to a court martial for attempting to seduce and sexually assault a child under the age of 16 back in 2015;
On two separate occasions, once in November and once in December 2015, Dorrbecker is accused of meeting the victim without her parents’ knowledge and attempting to commit multiple sexual acts on her. He used his government-issued Blackberry phone to arrange the meeting, the charge sheet alleges.
Dorrbecker’s alleged activities “disgraced him personally and seriously compromised his standing as a Naval Officer,” the document states.
According to the article, he had commanded the submarine USS Greeneville from 2007-2009 and he worked in the office of the Chief of Naval Operations.

I have never known of a single one and I have no problem whatsoever painting them all with a broad brush. They can arrest their behavior. They can avoid old triggers, but they are never, ever cured. What’s more, many, if not most, molesters were themselves molested. Thus, their making victims is particularly vicious because they create other monsters.
I personally know two Marines that have crossed “the line” and done the unthinkable and molested children, plus another Marine arrested by civilian authorities for child pornography. I don’t know if the truly cannot control their urges, but that is their problem, not mine, not society, and certainly not their victims. If they truly had these urges and wanted to stop, there is therapy that may alleviate it. But much like the lawyer crying that his client has an alcohol problem and should not be punished for killing someone while driving drunk, I ain’t buying it. And if/when they do get released, I don’t want to hear them bitching how they cannot find a job or home because nobody wants a convicted child molester in their neighborhood. Fuck all of them.

I spent a career in law enforcement, the best way it was explained to me during a CASA(Child Assault Sexual Assault) training seminar was Pedophilia is a compulsion akin to sexual orientation. Or simply put it’s like trying to talk a gay person into being straight. They can try and stifle it but the urge will always be there.
Nah, drug offenders for certain types of highly addictive drugs like heroin are higher. Baby rapers are only slightly lower down.
The problem is that sexuality is a part of a person’s character identity. That is why they are so dangerous, they actually can’t change. The best that we can hope for is that they suppress their inclinations. Society helps by applying lifelong restrictions on their access to victims but short of locking them up and throwing away the key no child is safe around one. There is no cure.

The other thing I found when investigating these types of crimes, is the time he is caught for is NEVER the first time.
