So it’s time we had a woman president, huh?
AT recently ran a blog piece about Hillary’s pledging to a Kentucky audience that as president, she would put Bill in charge of revitalizing the economy. My first reaction was, “Hey, wait a minute here; I thought it was time to elect a woman as president so she could demonstrate to the world that women are just effective as men in managing the affairs of nations.” The country is being told that Hillary is the best qualified person for the job because of her vast government experience, yet this woman is turning over to a man the full responsibility for what most voters consider the number one problem facing a new administration, the lousy economy. Wow, what an impressive statement of feminist strength and independence. You go girl!
As for what Hillary considers her husband’s economic wizardry in the last decade of the century, numerous commenters noted that Bill had the very good fortune to ride the incredible tech wave of that decade and the even better luck to be out of office by the time the wave became a bubble that ultimately burst. Others noted that it was Bill who got the ball rolling on the sub-prime mortgage disaster, as well, by using his office to pressure banks into issuing loans to obvious credit risks, a liberal, feel-good, fool’s game that we all paid a heavy price for. And lastly, many asked why is Bill’s economic expertise even needed if the economy is in such a good shape as the Obama administration is insisting it is? What’s to fix? From time to time Hillary segues into the dialects and speech patterns of her minority audiences; perhaps to sell this concept that Obama’s vital economy needs revitalization she had best practice the remarkable speech abilities of long-ago presidential candidate and comedian, Pat Paulsen.
All that being said, I must confess that I share Hillary’s demonstrable conviction that sometimes we are confronted with situations which pointedly require our personal attention:
And that simply cannot be put in the hands of her husband no matter how practiced he may be.

^^^what she said. That should be required reading.
I was talking about Hillary. om nom nom nom nom nom
Your comment reminded me of a story that a friend shared.

Speaking of vipers…that IDIOT Whoopie Golddigger just said “WHY didn’t someone tell hillary about classified material”!! Can you believe that MORON is that stupid to think the secretary of state doesn’t know about classified material…She is so frigging ignorant, she should be in a home for the mentally retarded!!!
Hillary even stated last August during her press conference that “I know what classified is!”
Bill had the good fortune of riding the results of the Contract With America. The only two significant things he passed was NAFTA and the Family Leave Act. Neither of which did a damn thing to help the economy.
His success is due to him being unable to pass the majority of his nonsense.
Dead on.
Dave, I’m disappointed you didn’t comment on the obvious juxtapositioning of the two items attracting Hillary’s attention.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the bosom of delight.
And you, dear Billary, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, her now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the bosoms of delight.
I am still practicing the whole Juxtaposition thing. Last time I tried too hard and strained a phalange.
May I humbly suggest a new username, Dave: Poegunny.
Bet young Christina could strain your phalange and a few other parts with that pair of properly juxtapositioned points.
Hmmm?
He didn’t pass any interns either, he stopped in front of them and then….
I’ll just leave this right here….

/Morning coffee alert.
What have I said, repeatedly?
She’s only running for president to put that slimeball back into the White House. And in the primaries, she’s ‘way ahead of the bernout in votes.
The only ‘good’ thing that came out of the Clinton admin was the ‘welfare to work’ requirement, and bodaprez did away with that.
Any questions?
If she had a choice between being president and Bill n’ Chelsea having to lie down on a track for an inbound train, she’d take being president.
You can see it in her face and in her attitude, she doesn’t care about anything but her own Politik and Power base.
And don’t forget: it was Clintoon who treated Islamic extremist terrorism – and specifically, al Qaeda – as a LE matter for 8 years. Hell, his Administration continued to do so after bin Laden’s explicit declaration of war on America in 1996.
9/11 occurred less than 8 months after the Clintoon administration. Is there a connection? IMO, you’re damn right there was. It’s simply not possible to fix 8 years of naive neglect in 8 months.
Add to that Slick Willy’s hamstringing of our intelligence agencies, and you had a perfect storm of fuck ups that led to 9/11
Jaime Gorelick… enough said
Substitute ‘intentional’ for ‘naive’ and you are correct.
But, I thought 9/11 was Bush’s fault? I’ve been hearing that on CNN for over a decade, so it must be true….
The picture above begs for comment. Either Shillery is thinking, “Lady, I love me some nice titties like you got”….or possibly, “I see my husband’s next playground!”
For once in my life, I see Shillery and myself DO have some of the same interests.
The first thing I thought of was the Jimmy Carter quote, “I’ve looked on a lot of women with lust. I’ve committed adultery in my heart many times.”
I’m thinking more the leer at 1:12 on this (possibly NSFW in highly prudish environments) clip:

(smile)
Funny story about that, Senor. Back in 1976 my blond hottie of a wife was a legal assistant for the managing partner of a very Democrat southern law firm in Pensacola when one morning the elevator door opened and Jimmy Carter and some lawyers boarded. She said Carter gave her a very thorough once-over (that undressing look that women know) and the famous smile as he asked, “And how are you, young lady?”
When he later made his lust comment, we got a big laugh that she had the distinction of being lusted over by a man who became the president.
I’d say both. I’d even go for a “lets get together with Bill and have some fun!”
Can admit that I hope to see a female US prez in my lifetime. Not this one. Any of us could probably proffer dozens of females who are better qualified.
I’d start with Condoleeza Rice.
Me, too, PI. She is an amazing human being.
Had the opportunity to talk with her a few years ago (on the WH lawn, of all places). She managed to balance the grace of a southern belle with her brilliance and confidence. There were obviously 47 things churning away in her mind as we spoke, but unlike most people who are thinking of other things, she was fully engaged in our conversation. Very few people can do that. All while looking like a super model totally unaware of her attractiveness.
Yes, that memory is among the best ever.
No wonder so many libs hate her!
One thing I like about her is that she honestly worked to get where she is and NEVER played the race card. I’m sure that’s one reason the left hates her, I remember the slurs they used to describe her and she never let it get to her, always taking the high road. IMHO Condoleeza Rice has at least a few hundred thousand times more honesty and integrity in the tip of her pinky fingernail than Bernie and the Clintons ever will, ditto with the vast majority of those in DC.
Condoleeza Rice would have my vote.
The only problem is, she is too smart to run for President!
“It’s time we had a woman president!”
Okay, fine. First, you could elect an actual woman, not Hildabeast. Second, there’s dozens of women who would do a good job, but Hildabeast has gone to great lentghs to ensure that they never see the light of day.
And finally, eight years ago it was “time we had a black president.” Look where that got us: we are now a laughingstock on the world stage with our economy in the shitter our military stretched thin and castrated, and our national debt ballooning like Rosie O’Donnel’s fat ass. The “first black president” is only half black (Really? They couldn’t even put forth an actual black dude?), has demonstrated to the world that he’s great at being Vladimir Putin’s bitch, can’t handle Iran, can’t handle ISIS, wants to cozy up to the Castro regime (who still torture more people than Putin), and really sucks at math (see Obamacare).
How about this one: It’s time we had a president who’s a true patriot and leader, who respects the Constitution, who really means it when they swear the Oath, and who doesn’t bow to party politics.
None of the front-runners fit that bill.
This is what Bill likes Hillary.
Yup. If the conversation lags, they can always talk about chicks!
I couldn’t give a damn about the gender of the POTUS. What I want is a POTUS who’s (a) competent, (b) understands the real world, (c) respects the Constitution, and (d) puts the nation’s long-term interests first. All else is secondary.
Been 7 years plus since we’ve had that.
Ditto.
“I couldn’t give a damn about the gender of the POTUS.”
Well, yeah, Hondo, but wouldn’t you like ’em to have ONE?
Just watch the first few minutes of this video and, if you want to vote for Clinton, please go straight to hell. The money shot: “At 10:08, before the attack is over—at 10:08 when Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty [both former Navy SEALs] are still on the roof of the annex, fighting for their lives, the official statement of the State Department blames a video. Why?” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUObFqU5cgE
I don’t have to look at the video. The answer to ‘why’ is lack of responsibility, incompetence, give-a-shit, etc. – whatever it takes to deflect blame from the idiot in the White House.
This is what we’ve come to as a nation. “Oh lookie, it’s historic! The first _________ president!” Dafuq.
Humaabedin should be worried, very worried, that she is about to be replaced as Hildebeest’s pet carpetmunchee. I wonder if Christina’s been receiving those “3AM phone calls” straight from the Hildebeest expressing her desires…
There seems to be a subtle point missing here, but it’s difficult to articulate. My own view is that although the no-income, no-job, no-asset element was a factor in the mortgage meltdown, the NINJAs were primarily pawns in a larger game. The trigger was the repeal of Glass-Steagall during the Clinton administration which allowed for the interests of the social justice warrior crowd to align with that of Wall Street.
The result of such an alignment was a rash of toxic securities which was the equivalent of taking 10 pounds of horse poo, putting it in a designer bag, tying it with a bright red ribbon, and selling it for a premium price as a secret patented soil enhancement product. The real losers in all this weren’t the NINJAs; their butts, after all, eventually got tossed on the street via foreclosures. It was some working guy in Phoenix who found out overnight that his house was worth half what he paid for it, or institutional investors such as insurance companies and pension funds. Meaning you and me.
Although it might seem counterintuitive, it is not a coincidence that Hillary Clinton gives pep talks to Goldman-Sachs, or has sat on the board of WalMart. Progressive liberalism, for the most part, is about big government, and such centrism is a close cousin to large enterprise which can use scale as a weapon to keep the economic playing field from being level. When things get tipped in such a fashion, you start losing middle-class Main Street where the bulk of both innovation and job creation comes from.
My late father was both a child of the Depression, and a paratrooper in World War II. He was also somebody with a strong moral compass who spent 30 post-war years climbing the corporate ladder at a major bank. If he was alive today, he would be disgusted with what’s going on in the financial markets.
Perry, the melding of strategic corporate and political interests such as the Democrat party is now engaged in was best exemplified in 1930’s Germany. While they scream to high hell in denial when this specter of national socialism is raised, this is precisely the course on which the Democrats are embarked.
If you haven’t watched the film “Inside Job”, I urge you to do so. It is compelling.
No doubt in my poor, addled mind, Trump is the better choice, but…
First he has to get elected. That means people have to vote for him. If he is the nominee (and that is now a virtual certainty), all who have opposed him and all who are adamant that they won’t vote for him need to consider just how wonderful the Supreme Court and the rest of the Federal Judicary will look with four years of Hillary following 8 years of the World’s Biggest Mistake. He may not be your first choice; heck, it may not even be on your list. You may not trust him (maybe for good reasons). But, when all is said and done, do you trust Hillary (or God forbid, Bernie) to make better choices for the future of the judicary? He may be the worse choice for the Republican nominee, but really, is he the worse choice for the Presidency when the other possibilities are Hillary, or Bernie, or even good ole Joe Biden (I’m not counting him out yet). I submit that Trump would be a better choice than any of those three, even with all the caveats and worries we have about him. The future is uncertain, but I think it’s better with Trump in the White House than any possible Democrat for this next term or two. He certainly wasn’t my first choice, or second, or third, etc. But I will vote for him over any other person running in the election in November (including 3rd party). I want my vote to count for a better future than we would see under four more years of Democrat control of the White House. Every vote will matter, make sure you think through the possibilities and choose what is best for the country in the long run, given the actual choices available.

Thinking about moving to Russia…
Putin as a strong man, crook and a arrogant thug.
But at least he is honest about the shit…. and you know where you stand if you run your suck.
Just an observation.
Last time I talked to Elbern at the gas station on the highway, his report on gas prices in Russia was $.25/gal in Moscow, $.12/gal outside Moscow.
I didn’t ask about the price of food, but there’s plenty of farmland available to anyone who wants to be a producer.
Just looked up average monthly wage in Russia.
$291.00 USD.
Well, then I”m in the ‘stinking rich’ set because my retirement income is a whole lot higher than $291.00 USD.
