Martin O’Malley is not the answer, unless it was a very stupid question

O'Malley1

According to the Washington Times Marty O’Malley will announce his intentions to run for President next year. I don’t often get into politics that don’t have to do with people in uniform, but this is so ridiculous, I can’t help it this time.

See that picture above? That’s O’Malley celebrating how he passed a tax increase on the good folks of Maryland before he’d spent a year in office and after he’d spent the real surplus that he had inherited. He passed his tax increase in the middle of the night and obviously, he’s proud of himself.

Here’s something else that you might not know about – his “rain tax”. Two years ago, he rammed a rain tax through the legislature. What’s a rain tax, you ask? Well, as a property owner, you were charged for the amount of rain that falls on your house and any other structures on property you own. Of course, the amount of rain that you paid taxes for was estimated, which means that the State of Maryland controlled your checking account. They could charge you whatever they wanted and you had to pay it.

The current Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, got rid of the rain tax as soon as he got into office. I doubt anyone who hangs around this blog would pull the lever for O’Malley, but I just figured that someone needed to say this.

I won’t make a ridiculous statement like “I’d vote for Hillary before I’d vote for O’Malley”, you know, because I wouldn’t vote for either. Given the choices that we have for next year’s election, I’m just going to buy more ammo rather than vote for any of them.

Well, the Republicans are throwing enough names and faces out there that one just might stick.

WORD, Jonn. Can’t improve on perfection, and you said it all.

Watch out for this guy. Hillary stands for Hillary, period, without any substance, just like she did in 2008. And just like in 2008, she is vulnerable to an attractive true Liberal hustler. O’Malley can do in 2016 what Obama did in 2008.
Good article on O’Malley today in online.wsj.com. It’s technically behind the pay wall, but simply Google the exact article title and, presto, you’re behind the pay wall.

Here in Oregon, they’re trying to call any land that has the ability to pool water a wetland. That includes farms because their furrows can pool and channel water. So, good luck trying to grow ANYTHING in America once these Demonrats get fully into office.

For all you folks being railroaded by the “Tax the Rainfall Received” takers, all that nonsense stems from Agenda 21, believe it or not. Google: Don Casey + Birmingham, Al and prepare for an enlightenment. Good speaker, extremely knowledgeable on all the conservation schemes Country-wide. Often speaks in diff. states; once invited and went to Australia to address Parliament on much of the same issue. Has dug deep into his own pockets over the years to enlighten others, as he feels this is his calling. Liberal tax-grabbing lefties….don’t waste your time trying to win a discussion you can NOT handle!

Got his info now. Thanks, jarhead!

Jarhead, my Google-fu doesn’t seem to be working very well this evening. A little help?

OWE’Malley also has a sterling reference as a former mayor of Baltimore, and his ineptness in Annapolis was so great his vice-governor lost election in a landslide to Republican(?) Larry Hogan.
A crook, a commie, and tomorrow a failure. Is this all the Dems can offer?
Cool.

Mr. Blue

Pretty much. The “D” bench is pretty devoid of talent at the moment.
Which is not surprising. Most of the Blue Dogs have been run out, and anyone left in office has to stick by the same old proven governmental and economic principles that have made Baltimore, Detroit, and California such success stories.

O’Malley was horrible as Maryland governor. He rammed through both the Intercounty Connector superhighway despite environmental issues being addressed and forced the Rain Tax. He left Maryland almost bankrupt.

Thanks for this “rain tax” reminder. We currently have around 30 municipalities here in Georgia that levy this “tax” er “user fee” on all land and property owners. Inquiring with our county commissioners, I found out they have their hands tied but couldn’t specify “why”. Several months ago, I found out through dilligent research that this is pushed forward by utility districts under the federal Clean Air/Water Acts.

Jarhead

Streetsweeper; please see my comment dated 10:51 tonight. Casey has been instrumental in the over-reachings of diff. Ga officials. That would include the poor folks being hassled by the Fascist group preventing anyone from planting a garden in their own In-City yard. Would not take much talk for Don to help you and your like-minded friends; to visit and present a talk to warn and prepare you.

“I found out they have their hands tied but couldn’t specify “why”.”

I suspect having their hands tied is the American bureaucrat equivalent of “I was just following orders.”

I agree Jonn. I’m thinking more ammo and higher calibers. Plus some more long range weapons.

If only…

I would be fine with that, but neither appear to be running.

Woe.

All that both Dems and Reps need to know about MOM is that he loves taxes. There is much more about him to be said but, for Republicans, that’s reason enough not to vote for him and, for Democrats, that’s reason enough to vote for him.

LTC Allen West for president! He could pick a blind one armed chimpanzee to be his vp and still get my vote

AW1Ed

I thought we already had one as veep?

desert

Why not? we have a blind, one armed baboon now as VP?

A Proud Infidel®™

A mentally retarded one-eyed lobotomized baboon on LSD would be at least a hundred times more intelligent and competent than Joe Biden.

Green Thumb

Paul-mer (of the Ballsack) Wickre, perhaps?

Pineywoods NCO

Come on, GT. He didn’t say “more inclined to drink into a stupor.”

A Proud Infidel®™

He’s enough of a moonbat liberal that I wonder how much the sniveling snotnosed thumbsucking moonbat media liberals will cover for him the way they’ve done for the likes of Das Hildebeast, B. Hussein 0bama, Nanny Lugosi, Feinschwein, and others?

List of taxes MOM inflicted on Marylanders:

http://www.atr.org/comprehensive-list-martin-o-malley-tax-hikes

“Former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley is making it official: He is running for President. A darling of radical spending interests, environmentalists, and union bosses, O’Malley’s time as governor saw astronomical increases in taxation in Maryland. Overall, in his eight years as governor, Martin O’Malley raided the wallets of Marylanders to the tune of $8 billion – according to the Maryland Department of Legislative Services.”

Carumba

I think Marylanders sniff glue. O’Malley is such an ashole yet they flocked tO re-elect him as Governor.

MustangCryppie

I’m a Marylander.

O’Malley is an asshole.

Hopefully, the majority of America is not filled with other assholes like those in Maryland’s Montgomery County and Baltimore who elected Chuckles O’Malley not once, but twice.

If it is, we are so screwed.

JohnE

Okay, O’Malley is a clown and he screwed up Baltimore…but lets be real. HE did not dream this up and pass it on his own. It took a house full of other elected officials to draft, populate and subsequently pass on to his desk the storm water fee in order to protect the Chesapeake Bay watershed, one of the most important and abused watersheds in our country…it takes a full circus, not just one clown.
