Thursday morning feel good story
Chief Tango sends us our Thanksgiving Day feel good story, and it comes from Oregon;
Thieves busted into Russell’s back yard on Sandringham Drive Northeast to steal ATV tires three times in the past two days.
He estimates the value of the tires between $500 and $1,000 dollars.
By the third time the thieves returned, Russell decided to protect his property.
“I thought I needed to do something or it wouldn’t stop,” he said.
He got out a shotgun hid in the bushes. He believes the thieves saw him when they raced past the side of his house in their SUV.
“They were coming down the road and they wouldn’t stop…When they tried to run me over, that was the last straw,” he said.
Russell took the gun and fired one round, busting out the back window of the thieves’ truck, leaving glass glistening in the driveway and a clue that helped police identify the vehicle: paint chips from the car.
“That I actually shot at them, I think that’s what probably scared them the worst,” he said.

Hid in the bushes. . .
(rustle rustle)
Whenever you need to use your weapon to protect your property…I was told to do whatever is necessary to protect yourself and property. Back in the 70-80’s it was shoot and answer questions later. I would rather have the then laws.Now you injury or kill the rat, survivors sue and get your property anyway…laws suck
Russell needs to be careful hiding in bushes.
He might find himself being added to a lawsuit from an idiot.
He did the right thing. He successfully defended his property rights.
