Walking Tall

| February 7, 2014

The folks at HooplaHa wanted you to see this video of wounded warriors learning to walk again. I’ve been privileged to meet some of these fine folks during my trips to Walter Reed, and I wish you could. They don’t complain about their injuries, they only see the future before them and accept the challenges they’ve been given. I’m proud to call them my brothers and sisters.

These wounded warriors are just awe inspiring. We as a nation owe them so much, and there they are still giving of themselves in their fight to not just survive their injuries but to inspire others and rebuild their lives.
It would be so easy to just give up… but they don’t!

These are amazing people, facing difficult odds with courage and optimism. A testament to their character and courageous nature.

These people are who our culture should be most aware of, and most appreciative of as opposed to the reprobates populating celebrity status in what constitutes popular culture in the US today.

I want to see them in the REAL Olympics one day.

I give them FIVE STARS for courage. There’s more I’d like to say but I’m too humbled by their feats and individual will to carry on. Plus my tears are… never mind.

The PT people have to watch them closely for pushing too hard too fast. As in falling down exhausted. Joe

This guy is a former Marine who lost both legs in Afghanistan and is riding a bike across the country. I believe he’s in Colorado now, headed to California. Here’s the link to his fb page, so give him a like!
