Joe Biden threatened to make Obama get his gun control measures approved if it meant an Executive Order gets it done instead of using the legislative process, you know that pesky system designed to represent the People (Bloomberg link);
Obama gave Biden an end-of-the-month deadline to come up with recommendations for measures to stem deaths and injuries from firearms in the U.S. Since the Dec. 14 shootings at the Newtown, Connecticut, school that killed 20 children and six adults, advocates of more restrictions on firearms have revived long-stalled efforts to push for legislation to regulate or restrict access to firearms.
“Every once in a while there’s something that awakens the conscience of the country, and that tragic event did in a way like nothing I’ve seen in my career,” said Biden, 70.
Yeah, more so than 9-11 or Pearl Harbor, huh, you dingus. Everything in this administration is somehow historic, especially the way that this administration is taking away people’s rights. Yeah, they said that Bush was thrashing the Constitution, but in no way does what Bush did equal what this Administration plans.
Meanwhile speaking of dinguses (dingusi?), Piers Morgan, that scurvy-ridden dog at CNN had Joshua Boston on last night, who did a damn sight better job than Alex Jones did the night before, in this video from JP;
Of course, Peirs says that his neighbor’s cousin bought a dog from someone who has been in Afghanistan and Iraq, so Peirs knows exactly what Joshua experienced. Or something. Then he trots out General McChrystal like we’ve been fully expecting. When Joshua says he won’t be able to pass his weapons on to his children, Peirs asks why he’d want to pass his weapons to his children. Well, it’s been my experience that children get older, they don’t remain pre-teens forever, you dumbass dick.
But Joshua, as usual, makes a good accounting of himself. Much better than Alex Jones, certainly.

I can do this RIGHT NOW. On my VA CHP I can openly carry my AR-15 or my Steyr AUG right down the street and almost anywhere I want. Anybody can. My wife, who doesn’t even have her CHP yet, can carry my AR-180B with a 20 round mag anywhere openly.
And yet, our crime rate is very low. And, truth be told, I’ve never open carried my AR-15. Mostly because it gets in the way.
The Marine is doing a good job fighting the good fight. That other guy (Alex Jones) sounds like a tin-foil hat guy, and he is not helping the cause.IMHO.
Gun control has nothing to do with making anyone safer. Gun control has to do with control of people. Or serfs. Peasants. Rabble. You know, all those folks that people in power like to control.

I see how he failed to mention that most of the people shot in Aurora were not shot with the scary “assault rifle”.

I think that scumbag Piers needs to address the high violent crime rate in His own country instead of sticking his nose in the business of the United States. Maybe he needs to crack a history book and read what happened in 1775 when the crown tried to treat Americans like subjects.

Peers Morgan is the classic European Liberal Dickweed, and has the arrogance to think because it’s done in Europe it should be done here in the USA….bullshit !
Personally if it was a perfect world, my Danner would be jammed so far up his ass his great grandkids would feel it.
But we all know it’s not a perfect world.
The guy already gets no ratings but still gets attention the way a broken dish does at a restaurant. Everyone looks and then turns away.
If people would stop going on his show and giving him plates to break he’d either be booted out or officially stamped as irrelevant.
Should have mentioned Israel. ALL the teachers there are armed. And no one thinks once about it, much less twice. Not even the children. And they’re much safer for it from the very real threat and danger of Muzzies.
I think Piers’s main problem is that Jeremy Clarkson didn’t hit him hard enough.
The irony he missed was when he went on about a “six year old’s right to go to school without being murdered” while ignoring how CT had the kind of strong laws in place that he wants.
Apparently, Piers has never been to Exmoor during the hunting season, when everyone in every town in Exmoore comes out with guns to go shoot the red deer.
Now, when I was six years old, all of us kids went to school without being murdered and gun laws were a lot fewer and more sensible, but that was back when people had some common sense, didn’t mind if their neighbors went hunting, and gave their kids BB guns and cap pistols as Christmas and birthday gifts. I used to have so much fun with the Gilbert chemistry set. There truly are times when I would like to roll back the calendar.
