Attitude changes

Well, we have all noticed how the some things have changed lately – Trump’s folks stopped yelling about election fraud when he won, and suddenly the Democrats are saying we must all sing Kumbaya and can’t we just get along? Here is one of the best ones:

Schumer and the Democrats tried to kill the filibuster in 2022 when they had 50 votes – the vice president could have broken the tie – but Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema refused to toe the Democratic party line. They eventually became Independents.

With Manchin and Sinema leaving the Senate, Schumer was confident of having at least 50 Senate seats after this year’s election with a then-potential Vice President Walz breaking the tie on a filibuster vote.

Yeah, not exactly working out for ya, Chuckie?

The result would have essentially meant one-party rule in the Senate, with Schumer also toying with expanding voting rights nationwide by passing the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

He also discussed a potential rule change to codify abortion rights in federal law, a party priority after Roe v. Wade was overturned, which would have faced staunch Republican opposition and lacking a path to 60 Senate votes.

Schumer also posited reforming the Supreme Court by slapping 18-year term limits on justices and touted reversing the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity ruling, which determined that presidents are immune from prosecution for some “official acts.”

He has previously announced his intention to move legislation that would expand the Supreme Court from nine to 13 members.

Chuckie was going to stuff all that down our throats…until about one election later, when suddenly the Dems are the minority party.

“Take care not to misread the will of the people, and do not abandon the need for bipartisanship. After winning an election, the temptation may be to go to the extreme. We’ve seen that happen over the decades, and it has consistently backfired on the party in power.”

“So, instead of going to the extremes, I remind my colleagues that this body is most effective when it’s bipartisan. If we want the next four years in the Senate to be as productive as the last four, the only way that will happen is through bipartisan cooperation.”  Fox News

What was productive about the last four? Schumer’s like the kid who endlessly provokes a fight and then hides behind “you wouldn’t hit someone with glasses, wouldja?”

Now a breath of fresh air. As we all know, the Soros-bought LA DA George Gascon’s reelection bid  was defeated. His successor doesn’t sound like he will meekly follow in George’s footsteps, either.

The incoming district attorney for Los Angeles County, Nathan Hochman, said in an interview with The Associated Press that his first task upon taking office is to eliminate the “pro-criminal blanket policies” of one of California’s most high-profile progressive prosecutors, George Gascón.

That means bringing back gang-related sentencing enhancements, allowing prosecutors to file juvenile charges more freely, and having prosecutors attend parole hearings with victims’ families again, where they can help argue against the release of convicts, Hochman said.

The former Republican-turned-independent also plans to return to prosecuting low-level nonviolent crimes that he said the current district attorney has not, such as criminal threats, trespassing, disturbing the peace and loitering, which often involve those experiencing homelessness. AP

And following the miniseries on the Menendez brothers, many (including noted legal expert Kim Kardashian and other Hollywood types) have argued for their parole or release when their resentencing hearing comes up December 11. Gascon said he favored resentencing –  Hochman has basically said “don’t hold your breath”  and that the public doesn’t know all the details. Guess his chances of making a tape with Kim just plummetted.

Update  – Governor Newsom released a statement today 11/19  that he will let Hochman make his determination decide before jumping into the case; probably a wise decision to backoff. If Hochman decides against a reduced sentence Newsom will incur public wrath in over-ruling him. If Hochman reduces their sentence, Newsom looks good for going with the flow. And that, boys and girls, is politics.

10 million fraud Biden “ballots” didn’t show up for Harris…

The man who spent 25 years in the NY state legislature and 24 years in the US Congress wants to limit the Constitutional terms of SCOTUS judges because it has become an “ethical morass” and “derelict in its duties”.

Sounds totally legit.

Chucky is a bag of shit.. Nothing follows..

Odie

Tell us how you really feel.

I find it amusing that all those who boldly drug him through the mud, had no problem slinging BS at him, tried to bankrupt him and called him everything but a white guy, are now saying we must all get along, be bipartisan blah blah blah, and are now worried about retributi
on. I’ve heard Mika and Joe even went to Mar A Lago and asked to be seen by Trump.

Sounds like Chuck is having a serious case of seeing what the phrase “turn about is fair play” actually means.

Popcorn anyone?

If my TSP wasn’t doing so well right now, I’d dump it and invest in popcorn futures. As the farm reporter on an Idaho TV station used to say, “popcorn, higher higher!”

Phuque Chuck! You know the Dems are going to use the filibuster like the did the last time they were the minority party. As for bipartisanship, you can tell Chuckie to get onboard with the Republican agenda which you know will NEVER happen. I can already predict every single vote in the Senate will have all 47 Diddycrats voting Nay. Sanders is NOT an independent when he ALWAYS votes the same as the D’s.
