Tim Walz thinks that you’re better off than 4 years ago
During the debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, the latter never really answered a question about the economy. Instead of answering the question about how Americans are doing now compared to before, Harris utilized campaign talking points. So, during an interview, Tim Walz was given an opportunity to provide an answer to that question.
From Breitbart:
Walz responded, “Yeah, well, certainly, an economy that works for the middle class. Donald Trump has been clear, I’ll give him this, the one thing he’s been clear about is he promised his rich friends in Mar-a-Lago, he said, you’re rich as heck, and you’re going to get a tax cut. He did that, he did. He decimated the middle class. He made it more difficult. He put more burdens on middle-class folks. He doesn’t have any plan for things like child care and an economy that matters to people. And the issue is, is, as we came out of COVID, which Donald Trump horribly mismanaged, and I say that as a Governor who understood it, we had to rebuild. And that’s exactly what she’s done, and we have now, this new way forward, certainly, it makes a case to Michigan voters that they have an opportunity to see themselves reflected in these policies, not just a very few at the top. So, this idea of home ownership, as I said, for many of us, that’s [so] foundational to who we are, for these folks on Wall Street, it’s just a commodity to be traded. And I think that’s — Donald Trump has sided with those folks, Kamala Harris is siding with folks right in the middle, folks who go every day to make an honest day’s work and should be paid an honest day’s salary.”

Wow, No-Ballz Walz is a TRULY accomplished liar, he said all that with a straight face.
It’s no wonder that they believe Americans really are stupid, he can lie out his ass like this, and knows that no-one on the left is intelligent enough to recognize the lies and call him out on it. He and the rest of the left extrapolate that to mean that ALL Americans are that stupid, instead of acknowledging that it’s only their followers..
This is one of the reasons to why they do not like us. If, during the primaries, they did to a popular Democrat candidate what they did to Donald Trump, the disappointment and outrage would be short-lived and the rank-and-file would follow along behind the chosen leader. All these tricks that they applied against Donald Trump are tricks that would work in the minds of Democrats, but not in the minds of Republicans.
They are not just denigrating Donald Trump, they are denigrating all of us who refuse to budge from our support for him.
Additionally, they have social media censors who would work on your behalf, suppressing arguments like what we advanced here, in favor of highlighting and favoring what Democrats say.
The average D-rat voter operates like a lemming.
It’s a matter of faith for ’em.
Nope. He gonna try to sell me a bridge, too?
Dark helmet finds your lack of faith disturbing.
Why you gotta drag Dick Cheney into this?
How Dick Cheney came across when he tried to get the voters to rally behind Liz Cheney:
I am better off than I was 4 years ago. But that’s just me personally. Most of the people I know are not. A high inflation economy is just like any other economy. If you know what to do it’s not hard to profit.
The problem is most people don’t have that kind of flexibility. If all of your resources go into providing for your current standard of living and the economy goes through inflation, You are screwed.
It could always be worse. I was watching the grand finale for the Grand Tour the other night and they were in Zimbabwe. They had 800 trillion dollar bills and other such bank notes that they were using to buy stuff with. Zimbabwe was a little bit different because after they started killing all the white people or throwing them out of the country, back in the day, absolutely nobody knew how to run an economy. Anybody with any sense fled the country. They never recovered and there’s far too much corruption to even try to recover now.
Another thing I found interesting about the show was that they were buying silver for $18 an ounce. I won’t spoil what they did with it but it was a good show, perhaps not their best special but still a good one.
Dems don’t care about working class people. Obama wooed the Wall Street crowd, and the Dems have been working hand-in-hand with the top 1% ever since. I was Teamster, and I know some Longshoreman and other tradesman and they are almost exclusively Trump. The C-Suite loves Dems, but the workers are backing DJT.
“new way forward”
I don’t want no stinkin new way forward.
I want my country back on track with the vision I’ve had for her
for the last seven or more decades.
“New way forward” – when mentioned by Democrats, has Marxist undercurrents. The people supporting the Democrats, believing their promises, don’t realize that they are being used and will end up suffering with the rest of us once they are no longer useful. All the promises being made are actually for the benefit of the movers and shakers.
Undercurrents hell, it’ll be a freaking tsunami.
I can only go off of my own experiences. Four years ago, I lived in Northern Virginia, not exactly Beverly Hills, but also not the cheapest of places to live. A few years prior, I lived in Georgia, where I could stop by the Piggly Wiggly and get the cheap steaks for under $3/lb. The dog loved them, he got a steak dinner at least 2-3 nights a week. Anyway, in 2020 I had a household of seven. I’d go to the Walmart less than a mile from the house and struggled to go over $100 when buying groceries. I think there were one or two times I spent over $200, but that was buying something bigger like a TV or something. I could still occasionally get some clearance steaks at Giant to spoil the dogs.
Now, in South Louisiana, where most things are cheaper than in NOVA, I go into Walmart at least four times a week and usually can’t get out without a $150+ receipt. I go to a local grocer when I just need a few things but expect to pay sometimes double what I would at Walmart.
I shop at the commissary and at the exchange. Prices are cheaper than what I would find at Walmart or elsewhere outside in town. Today’s prices at the commissary/exchange are higher today than what prices were outside the commissary/exchange prior to the pandemic.
Truth. I still recall $6/lb NY Strips at the commissary back in 2019. Now they are $19.50 at Publix and $12.50 at the commissary.
In 2017 my average weekly grocery bill for a family of four (two being male teens) was $150-200. Now for just me and occasional female guests it is $150-200. That is almost like quadruple prices in 7 years. It was under 2% a year when Trump was president.
My wife bought a pair of shoes at the exchange and it was less than Amazon by $20. It was the first time ever for that to be the case. Prices are higher on base than off base for most items. We use coupons for even better pricing at local stores. No way are prices better today than 4 years ago. Tampon Timmy has been feeding off the Minnesotans for a while now. He has no concept what things cost, as evidenced by his lying statements.
It’s not like that in my area. The majority of items that I purchase, both at the commissary and at the exchange, are cheaper than what is offered out in town. I’ve purchased from Walmart and other centers to save time, paid more for less items. For example, I purchased chocolate packs for my coffee during the pandemic. The commissary had them (Starbucks) 8 per box. I found a similar one sold at Walmart, 6 per box. Guess which one was more expensive? The 6 packet at Walmart. I told the young woman that I’m seeing something to the effect that people who shop outside the base are getting a* raped.
Now, granted, there are some situations where you’d get better value buying outside, but they are not the norm. The commissary and exchange still have the advantage in my metropolitan area.
Rural area here.
I’ll just stick this right here…

The leftists that I’ve argued against honest to God believe that what they hear in the traditional media is “factual.” They are clearly wrong, easily proven so, yet they insist that they are the ones that are “right,” and those who advance actual facts are “wrong.” Like clockwork, once they run out of media talking points, they run out of argument.
It is painfully obvious to us that the mainstream media has jumped off the edge, but way too many people out there think that the media is “honest.”
No, I am not better off now than four years ago and neither is our economy.
And there are no amount/kind of lies that you can tell that will convince me otherwise.
Higher fuel costs mean everything else costs more.
The funny thing about that is that even when the fuel prices go back down the other prices still stay high.
The price of fuel never truly goes down. I am talking about a $2.00 a gallon rollback. The only time it has ever done that in my lifetime was when Trump kicked it in the ass. And he kept the price down for 3 1/2 years, it took the global pandemic to start the price back up, then it really climbed with the anti-oil policies of Harris/Biden.
It would not let me edit; I waited too long. So here is my edit.
The price of fuel almost never truly goes down.
And you are correct about the prices at the grocery store not coming back down. Also, the quality/quantity have both declined.
I heard on the local news that gasoline prices are falling faster than expected. Must be an election year. Or the media doing their best to shovel manure.
Almost CSM thing has disappeared.

Grrrrr. Why does it sometimes post the meme or pic, and other times the link.
Anybody looking to hire an Id10t type computer expert? I’m affordable.
Was there an answer in there was here he clearly articulated how a Harris-Administration would improve our economy and give the average more purchasing power?
They’re going to give everybody a billion dollars each. Just make sure you’re the first one in line at Walmart.
Camacho won’t like she stole his platform:
Better off now than 4 years ago = Haitian immigrants.
Worse off now than 4 years ago = Maui residents
Well if Timmy says so — the leftist sheep will gladly repeat it enough times to believe it.
I don’t think so…
UHHHHM, nobody in the mainstream media has yet come to the conclusion that Harris has BEEN IN OFFICE for nearly four years and MIGHT be part of the cause of the mess we’re in.
Privately they’ve come to that conclusion, but they’re paid not to make it public.
The A-Hole is right that we are better off now by running the country the socialist way than 4 years ago. Great if your a socialist but I’m a Conservative independant voter. I don’t like the word republican on the card.
Looking at paycheck…looking at bills…
I call bullshit.
Tim False.
