‘Could’ve been a lot more problems’: 2 arrested after double-shooting in Butler County

By: Bret Buganski , TJ Caudill
MADISON TWP., Ohio — The Butler County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men after a double-shooting Sunday night in Madison Twp.

James Contreras Garcia, 19, and Adonnys Contreras Garcia, 20, are both charged with aggravated robbery. Adonnys Contreras Garcia is also charged with felony assault. Both men are in the Middletown City Jail.

A neighbor said two men ambushed him and his friends at gunpoint. One of his friends, he said, was shot by one of the suspects. He and his friends shot back at them in self-defense, he told WPCO.

The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to 4877 Eck Road at around 7:45 p.m. Sunday following the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital.

While deputies say the shooting stemmed from an “altercation,” one neighbor who spoke to WCPO off-camera said the shooting took place at what was supposed to be a private gun sale.

The man said two men ambushed him and his friends at gunpoint. One of his friends, he said, was shot by one of the suspects. He said he and his friends shot back at them in self-defense.

Arranging a firearm purchase to stage an armed robbery? There’s that steep learning curve once again. Thanks, Gun Bunny.

Teen arrested after ’emptying his clip’ in Fashion Place Mall shooting

by: Ryan Bittan
MURRAY, Utah (ABC4) — A teen was arrested Saturday after a shooting at the Fashion Place Mall in Murray and admitted to having “emptied his clip” during the altercation, according to Murray Police.

Imanuill Ahmed, 18, was arrested for felony discharge of a firearm (third-degree felony), obstruction of justice (third-degree felony), riot – bodily injury/property damage/dangerous weapon (second-degree felony), and criminal mischief (second-degree felony).

On Jan. 13, police responded to a shooting at the Fashion Place Mall, located at 6191 South State Street.

Callers reported that multiple people were involved in the incident, and that those involved were only shooting at each other.

Officers arrived at the scene and detained six people that matched the description of the people involved. One of those individuals had a gunshot wound in the lower ankle, police said.

Police determined that those six individuals had followed a male, who was by himself, out into the parking lot of the mall. A confrontation reportedly occurred and the person who was followed pulled out a gun and shot at the six others.

One of the people in the group of six, identified as Ahmed, was also in possession of a gun and fired back.

“Only shooting at each other.” *sigh*

The best way to begin genuine bipartisanship to make America stronger is to work together on the real crises facing our country, not to manufacture an artificial crisis to serve a special interest agenda out of touch with the needs of Americans.

Gun play in Utah? When will those darned Mormons learn?

President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neande

Huh. Almost next door.
Not that I obsess over, or even watch the TV news (keeps me healthier that way), but I’m sure my wife would have seen it and told me.

You’ve really got to keep an eye on the radicalized ones. They’ll snatch you right off the street, baptize you, then pedal away laughing, leaving you standing there dripping, wondering WTF just happened.

I don’t know why anyone would conduct a sale of any type anywhere other than a police station parking lot or major shopping center–in broad daylight. The local Walmart is where locals meet up, but when firearms are brought into the equation, I’d definitely call the local precinct or substation and see if there’s any issue with conducting the sale there. Not inside, of course, but using proper gun handling and safety, under the pretense of “try doing anything stupid, and the cops are seconds away”.

I bought a few guns in mall parking lots years ago. Now, I wouldn’t risk it. Is the “seller” legit, or simply looking to rid you of the few $100s you brought to buy the gun? Is the “buyer” legit, or looking to steal your gun, rob you, or worse? You can bet that the latter scenario is going to include some sort of ambush. “Got that Glock, man?” “Yeah, it’s in the trunk.” Then the friends roll up and guns come out. Of course, they aren’t going to take the chance that you’re armed, so it’s either sheer numbers and force or a couple of quick shots. Or just “emptying the clip”…

The KSG, like many of Kel-Tec’s designs, is different, at least. I’ve not heard good things about felt recoil with it, and the review gives it a poor rating for ergonomics, so I’ll stick with my traditional pump guns.

I wouldn’t sell to or buy from anyone I don’t personally know without a background check. We’re heading to a FFL holder, I’ll pay the fee either way.

Nowadays, I agree. But then again, I no longer sell or even trade guns. The kids will get them eventually and can do with them what they want. All I know is I should probably curtail my buying habits before the wife finds out. 🔫

SFC D

MRS D has her own gun habit. It’s my own damn fault though. It all started with a Charter Arms Pink Lady 38SPL.

I own a KSG, it is better in concept than execution. The recoil isn’t any worse than a regular pump. With the extended butt pad it isn’t bad at all.

The issues are more:
Not really feasible to combat top off.
Switching magazines means you either have an empty chamber or a chamber with whatever loading you have in the other magazine. If you want a different loading with a pump gun, just stick it in the chamber. All in all it isn’t a bad gun, but not my go to.

The trash taking out the trash is always a feel good story. Leastways, I think that is what was happening here. The state of journalism (or lack thereof) causes Henry Grady (and our very own CW) to weep.

John F*ckyou Skerry…and the plane you flew in on. Guess y’all saw where he is leaving his “position” as climate czunt to “work on the FJB re-(s)election” campaign.

“…hangs up on loading and operating the gun.” Think I’ll go give my Mossy Maverick a hug.

SFC D

Simpler is usually better. Mr. Maverick has as few moving parts as possible, and always goes BANG on command.

Rumor had it, and I’m pretty certain it was only a rumor, that Jones was permanently banned from Arlington National Cemetery for peeing behind a tree during the filming of Gardens of Stone. Gardens of Stone (1987) ORIGINAL TRAILER [HD 1080p] (youtube.com)

Damn, I had the privilege of serving in two unique units during my first seven years of service, each with their own movies that very much reflected my time decades later: Hamburger Hill (1987) ORIGINAL TRAILER [HD] (youtube.com)

The camaraderie of 3/187 in Iraq, 2003, and the experience of serving in The Old Guard during the Surge, burying our own and conducting countless Final Honors in ANC, were something. Those are still two of my favorite movies. The times change, but the people don’t. Few movies get it right, but both of those just get to me.

Heard that too.

“Reproduction without sex. Who do you think came up with that?” “Your wife, Sergeant Major?”

At least 5 years ago, the KSG was often referred to a a Jam-o-matic, and I was told if you showed up at a serious Gunsite-style course with one the school would rent you an alternative gun. On our range many liked it and rented it, but we didn’t sell many.

It is easy to short stroke as it requires a lot of force to cycle the action properly. It’s not for people with low upper body strength.
