Detainees pepper-sprayed during protest at Florida immigration camp

Detainees at a state-run immigration detention camp in Florida were pepper sprayed in their housing quarters in October.According to documents obtained by the USA TODAY NETWORK – Florida and reports from immigrant advocates, in late October, officers at Baker Correctional Institution, also known as “Deportation Depot,” used OC gas (a form of pepper spray) on detained immigrants.
A spokesperson for the Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM), the agency in charge of the state-run immigration detention facility and also “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Everglades, confirmed the incident.
“Detainees at Deportation Depot attempted to barricade themselves inside their housing unit while inciting violence and causing significant damage. After detainees refused multiple verbal commands to allow staff to enter, they deployed OC gas (pepper spray) to safely regain access,” spokesperson Stephanie Hartman said in an email.

The situation is complicated but only because Joe, The Delaware Doosh, made it that way.
These illegal aliens see as two parts, the actual nation is the big part but the essential part for their purposes is the Central Government.
Americans might want to give that some thought, as well. There is a detestable, renegade, reckless federal government and then there are Americans.
Many Americans are dedicated and devoted to preserving their “entitlements” and transfer payments. Then, there are the rest of us.
OC is used a lot in prisons when the inmate(s) become uncooperative.
One story I heard from a guard: They were trying to get a very uncooperative/combative inmate to exit his cell and it was all “No habla Ingles” until they spayed him.
He all of a sudden spoke English very well.
I know from classroom conversations (when I was teaching in prison) that the inmates really, really, don’t like being gassed.

Whenever I hear of Fort Leonard Wood, I remember one day I had business at Fort Sheridan. It was long ago before the DOW had everyone put the same style base sticker on our cars, and obviously, before we had to take them all off. I drove up to to the gate and showed my ID card, the guard didn’t recognize the sticker on the window. With his hand firmly on his side arm, he screamed at me, “What’s your business on Fort Leonard Wood?” I said I had none that day; but, I did have an errand I needed to run on Fort Sheridan. He didn’t shoot me but he did turn several shades of red.
Right??? I flew from Japan to to Seoul in 1994 and took the Missus …. it was her first experience with CS — though we were a whole block away. I explained that youthful protests and CS are building blocks of Korean society. (^__^)
