Veteran’s Day

| November 11, 2022

Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 making it an annual observance, and it became a national holiday in 1938. Sixteen years later, then-President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed legislation changing the name to Veterans Day to honor all those who served their country during war or peacetime.

Great Britain, France, Australia and Canada also commemorate the veterans of World War I and II on or near November 11th: Canada has Remembrance Day, while Britain has Remembrance Sunday celebrated on the second Sunday of November.

In the United States, an official wreath-laying ceremony is held each Veterans Day at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, while parades and other celebrations are held in states around the country.

For all that have and those who are, thank you.

Good Morning TAH Vets – No free shit today as Eggs is traveling cross country after paying my final respects to my Brother in Law. US Navy Vietnam (USS Shangri La), retired NYS Trooper and County Sheriffs Deputy. Fair winds and following seas Ern.

We had an MM3 on TAD to my Div. (A Gang) from the Shangri La. He was onboard for the collision and mentioned the oxi Aceteline bottles cooking off and flying around the hanger bay. Did your Brother in Law ever mention the ships nickname. I won’t mention it at a time like this. My Condolences to your Brother In Law.

Roh-Dog

Thank each and everyone of you.

(Especially the loudmouth fuckfaces)

Happy Veterans Day

A Salute to my Brother and Sister Vets. We are the Lucky Ones that are here to Commemorate the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month and to Pay Honors to the Fallen on 30 May.

And yet the Post Office is closed.
No wonder they have “hiring event” posters everywhere.

On this Veterans day, I’d like to say thank you to all of you who did far more during your service than I.
