Police shoot, injure person at motel on East Central

Police shot and critically injured a person late Tuesday night at a motel in Southeast Albuquerque, authorities say.The shooting marked the fifth time Albuquerque police have shot at someone in the past 30 days.
Police spokesman Daren DeAguero said the shooting happened sometime before 10:45 p.m. at the Motel 6 near Central and Tramway. He said the person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police: Homeowner shoots man in attempted burglary

Metro Nashville Police Department’s Violent Crimes division is investigating an attempted home burglary that took place early Tuesday morning.Officers responded to a shooting call around 7:50 a.m. in the 3000 block of Andrew Jackson Way.
Police report that a father woke up to the sound of glass breaking in the bedroom of his young son and near the front door of their apartment. The father got his firearm and opened his bedroom door.
He saw an unknown man standing in the hallway of the apartment. The father shot at the man nine times, striking him once in the jaw and neck area and possibly three times in the chest. Several bullets that missed also traveled into the apartment across the hallway.
