Homicide investigation underway in Cupertino after homeowner fatally shoots trespasser
CUPERTINO, Calif. – Homicide detectives are investigating a Cupertino shooting that took the life of a man described as a trespasser early Saturday, a Santa Clara County sheriff’s spokesman said.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 4:08 a.m. call regarding a homeowner firing shots at a trespasser at a residence in the 20000 block of Patric Court, according to Sheriff’s Deputy Russell Davis. The deputies found a man with at least one gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Davis said.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are investigating the circumstances of the death, Davis said.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV) — A neighbor dispute lead to a deadly self-defense shooting in Carson City on Christmas Eve, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting just before 3 p.m. on Dec. 24 at an apartment on the 20 block of College Parkway.
When police arrived, the found a man dead in a downstairs apartment doorway suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The man was identified as a 41-year-old man who lived in an apartment upstairs.
Deputies immediately took the resident who lived in the apartment where the incident happened into custody.

A Tri-Cities man could be in prison for life for raping a young girl. He is 23

A 23-year-old Kennewick man is going to prison for more years than he’s been alive for sexually abusing a young girl over three years.When the girl finally got up the courage to tell Danny J. Delgado that he shouldn’t be touching her, he replied with threats to kill her parents if she did not let him, according to court documents.
Then, once confronted by police, Delgado said the girl’s allegations and her parents’ claims that he had later confessed to them were all lies.
A Benton County Superior Court jury believed the girl after listening to her testimony during an October trial, and convicted Delgado of four felony sex crimes.
Delgado was sentenced last week to life in prison with a minimum term of 26 1/2 years.

First thing I thought when I read the first story and saw Cupertino was, “Regardless of circumstances, I’m guessing the shooter is in deep sh!t, legally speaking, if the blood trail doesn’t lead back inside his residence. And maybe even then.”
