Hmmmm. Not justifying any aggressive action by border patrol to control the border crisis, but the DHS secretary puts them in a bad situation to begin with, limits their resources and actions, and will now apparently take action against them for the images that got out to the media.

I wonder why Secretary Mayorkas doesn’t view his own actions as “mistreatment.” Is it humane to have thousands upon thousands of migrants living in what amounts to a refugee camp, probably running wild with COVID? No sanitation, no food… that’s not mistreatment, no. What about the root causes? Isn’t the VP all over that like flies on cow poop?

My question is who rounded up these folks in Brazil or Chile or wherever they were living (they are not recent residents of Haiti, apparently) and moved them up here? You don’t just walk from Brazil to northern Mexico. One report this morning said another 20,000(!) Haitians are in Columbia ready to come to the US.
Someone, some group, is behind this, and a real government, out of respect for the nation and people they govern, would find out who is supporting the migration.

And twirling the reins to keep idiots away from the horses makes perfect sense. Anyone familiar with horses knows how dangerous a spooked horse can be to those around it, and to it’s rider. Anyone who has spent any time around horses knows that getting stepped on by one, kicked or butted isn’t fun. I suspect the officers were using riding techniques to keep the people away from the horses, which includes pulling the reigns to one side and making the horse perform a 360. Once again, the DHS Secretary fails.
