No charges in fatal Springfield Township shooting

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (FOX19) – The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office says a fatal shooting in Springfield Township was justified because it was in self-defense.Deondre Andrew, 38, was found dead on Nov. 24, 2020.
Police said they responded to a call about physical and verbal trouble between a male and female in the 1400 block of Meredith Drive.
Amy Clausing, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, says Andrew attacked a woman multiple times and at one point began to choke her.
Her children ran into the room to try to help her and then, according to Clausing, Andrew assaulted one of the woman’s sons.
The children then called the woman’s brother to get help and when he arrived, he tried to keep Andrew away from her.
At that point, Clausing says the woman grabbed her gun, which she legally possessed, from the closet.

When ARE these dumbazzes gonna learn that sometimes she is just not that into you anymore? Man pull leaze, just move on!…While you still can. I’ve had my fair share…and then some. I’ve had some that were crazy about me…and some that were just crazy. There was always another and eventually, you kiss enough frogs, you’ll find you a Princess…or a good dog. And no matter how deserving you think she may be for a whooping, you just don’t do that…’specially in front of kids. Any man that abuses a woman or a young’un NEEDS to be shot.
Kool looking bull pup. Too bad it is basically a plasticised abomination of a POS. Spend a few more bucks on making the damn thing. The sweetness of low price is gone long before the bitterness of poor quality sets in.
They ain’t near as cheap…as I recall in the $7-800 range. Decent basic pumps cost $2-300. I understand of you show up at a tactical shotgun course with one, they smile sadly and pat you gently on the head.
Retail on these a couple of years ago was over $900. I did a tactical shotgun course with a fellow that was packing one of these. He had quite a few stoppages during the training. Supposedly, they have been improved in the past few years. One of the advantages is you can load one magazine tube with slugs and the other with buckshot, and select which magazine you want to feed the pump action.
I don’t like the tricked out shotguns with extra rounds attached.
Looks cumbersome and presents more snag points for clothing etc.
Even the Mossberg 590 with extra rounds in the butt is difficult
to deal with unless you are just at the range and nobody is trying
to take it away from you. Spare rounds in my pocket work better.
And lose the Picadilly rails. You don’t need a flashlight, laser,
range finder and bottle opener on a close combat long gun.
The one addition I will vouch for is a bayonet. Snag someone on that.
