Welp, Whose FIRST?
Bullshit!
Segundo!
I was almost murdered by first place!
DAAAAYYUUUUM!!!??? Y’all ain’t even trying! I left the Crown of FIRST for the TAH Weekend Open Thread just laying there…free for the takin’. Even gave a 30 count before typing and another 30 count before I hit post. I will still offer up some of my porked loin beast that has been a’percurlating lowly in the crockett pot, hand rubbed with Applewood Seasoning with some rice to soak up the au jous. Beats the all hell out of them chicken n waffles that Homeboy stole.
Special note on this linky here. The KoB is lookin’ for a few good deplorables. Had to go back and snag it from the Thread that had fallen back. RECRUIT!
Love to All…including that phuqueing phuquer Chip…special smooches to him! Oh…and just for ninja…GABN/RTR/HBTD

Yeah, well I had just got to my accommodations after a 3 and a half hour drive and opened the WOT and left my “Segundo!” Having a sammich and some Yuengling Golden Pilsner. Going to have a couple of those golden nectars and have a couple drams of Canadian Club 12 tonight. Found a fifth for $20 including tax…best value going in whisky and it drinks like it cost double the price.
Well, a little while ago I had zero guns and zero ammo. I rectified that. Now I’m trying to pay off the rather large pothole I made in my credit card. Should take a few months to get back to zero. I classified this as a family and national emergency so it was completely justified. It’s like buying food. The family needs it and it’s for our own good. I now have some hardware and some other hardware to go with each. I accidentally bought frangible ammo that I can’t shoot at the indoor range because they have an air filtration system, BUT, nice (and that’s an understatement, this place is *fantastic*) place that they new range is, the owner talked to me and took my info and said he’d try to find a home for that from someone that could use it. Other than that, I bought a laser boresight I can use at home and then I can go to the range (I believe) with confidence going forward. NOW, that being said, I just need my secret freedom seed website to drop some deals so I can hord…I mean, get a little more of said thingies so as to defend against a small army of intruders. There. OK. Oh and I bought a BUNCH of these. Anyone have shivers? PTSD? Goosebumps?? Yeah, good. I figured I’d get some looks at the range but hey, it’s OLD SCHOOL and it’s what I trained on and what’s familiar to me so, yeah, 250 should not go too fast. Probably last me a good portion of this year. Anyway, KoB, I may have a bad back, bad knees, I’m about 25 or 30 pounds over my ideal weight (Yeah it’s COVID’s fault), and I have wicked tinnitus, BUT bro, I’m on board. I did it once and I’ll do it again!!! I’ll raise my right hand again, because I believe it’s for the good of our country, our nation, our constitutional republic and my family and my step-doggos. OK… and even for my Ex Wife. And all of you fuckers. Let’s… Read more »

“I classified this as a family and national emergency so it was completely justified”.
So it should be tax-deductable, right?
You’ve been crawling around in my brain. LOL, I am preparing for my annual (anal?) tax preparation and that thought crossed my mind.
Some countries such as Switzerland have the conscripted service where every able bodied male (and women are encouraged) serve in the military and are issues a pistol or rifle they keep at home. They can also arrange to keep it after their service. I didn’t know that and I’d have loved to keep an (not mine because we got whatever they had to qualify every year) M-16 from the Air Force when I got out. It would have saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars (thinking of the $200 BATF tax stamp for a 3 round burst capable weapon, they should waive that for qualified veterans.) ANYWAY, yes, for military veterans, we should get a deal on it. I know that because I’m a retiree, I’m qualified to purchase “Blue Tag” weapons, that are like 30% off of cost to the general public, I believe, and a lot of manufacturers do have deals like that so ASK, maybe better than being tax-deductible (which is never going to happen), take the advantages you can.
I definitely ask for discounts and also pay for the privilege at the range for a military membership.
Savage Arms
Sig Sauer
Glock and
Beretta all have blue label deals for veterans/retirees/LEOs etc.
ASK
ARM YOURSELF (with knowlege)
If anyone else here has suggestions, PLEASE let me know.
I may want this….(even though I don’t have the room or the money, I can dream…)
I wish I had this problem….
Dat wos …..Amazing!!!!!111
A friend of mine who is a NRA pistol instructor found a way to advertise spare ammo on Fascist Book – by referring to them as 9mm chicks in families of 50….
It worked for that time – dunno if Fascist Book will ping to that or not in the future.
Rounds for my favorite EDC are now $1/each – getting real hard to burn powder at all.
Shhhhh but because I love you….
ammoseek.com
the following are running about (at 9:15 EST) but they drop from time to time and you can catch them lower…
.22LR – low 20s and higher teens but you get drops to around 10 cents
.223 is at .85 but runs around .75 to .90. If it drops to about .70 or lower, I’d buy but .50 is great.
9mm is running about .68 to .75 and sometimes it drops to around .6 and I’d buy then or lower but anywhere in the 40s and 50s would be good.
5.56 is running in the 90s but right now is 87, but if it goes to the low 70s or anything in the 60s is a buy,
all my buy calls are from the presets in the sites and my general experience in the last almost half a year, but, sometimes you get a glitch in the matrix and something drops to close to old regular prices, BUT, you have to look at the shipping price and the quantity of the buy allowed to see if the price per round isn’t reasonable.
Sometimes buying a couple hundred rounds and then maybe paying tax and shipping make the price go up to where it’s not worth it per round cost. Other times, shipping and tax are not charged either or or both and the ppr is low and BINGO, BUY BUY BUY
That’s enough from me.
I take a peek there from time to time myownself, ChipNASA.
Unfortunately the current gubbmint-retiree financial system, coupled with a CFO who has managed to keep us from having to live under a bridge, doesn’t let me buy at will.
Hopefully the job application I put in will help make up the difference and do some buying in the future.
But I love that website & have passed it along to several folks @ church.
(Preacher one time, a few years back, said that his Emergency Action Plan, should an armed gunman enter the sanctuary, was to hit the dirt ’cause he knew how many of us we packing.)
Oooh! Top 10!
5!
Yep, Just got back from having the Vehicle Maintenanced, PMCS as I believe many of you freaks refer to it as, and here I am. Top Ten.

Let me go and look around and I’ll be back, in case I missed anything.
In keeping with the subject matter of the Thread;
Have YOU seen the light?
Not first
But we love you more, OAM!
GB-thank you for the smile that brightened my day.
I Second that.

Do I hear an “AYE” VOTE?!?!?
Roberts Rules say I have to have that back up before I deploy The……
AYE! OAM brightens our day every time we see her name on the comment board.
Y’all do know she cooks too, right?
OK We have an AYE VOTE. Get ready OAM because you’ve earned it.
WE’RE DROPPING The Hemisphere of Insult…..®™ Oh…..wait…..I got excited there for a minute.
For you OAM I give you this and as the song says, I do hope that this is not saying that We Love You Too Much …. And as a matter of fact, this also goes out to Ex-PH2 and ALL the lovely ladies of TAH and Valor Guardians. You are not recognized for your contributions around here and IMHO, you bring so much, to this sweaty locker room of guys, talking shit and snapping towels and comparing their junk and all that.
And with that, I bid you all, a LOVELY weekend.
For those of you in the Mid-Atlantic, hunker down, I hear Saturday after midnight is bringing us more white stuff to shovel Sunday so be careful out there!!!
And all of the miscreanted d’weeded deplorables said AMEN…to all the Adorable Deplorables! They’ve earned their places in Heaven because they have had their TAH on Earth!
Chip, KoB, GB and all you deplorables…
You’re not right in the head.
And I mean that from the bottom of my very full, grateful heart.
Ruh Roh…She’s onto us fellas. “You’re not right in the head.” I got doctor notes and MRI Scans to cover me. What’s y’all excuse?
WHA?? I CAN’T QUEER YOU….I’VE GOT AN EAR INFUCKTION!!!
Or tinnitus ….YOU’RE WELXCOME FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT JUST HEARD IT FROM READING THE WORD!!!
Something like my son would say but then again, he’d say, ” That’s what 8 year olds would say, that’s (not heterosexual!). Jesus DAD!!”.
Anyway,
No way around it OAM, we love you.
Pbbbhhhhhtttttttttttt!!!
Now go bake some cookies or something matronly like that so we don’t spoil our image of you….(except do it only wearing an apron
)
*ok, runs off, at TOP speed before getting wacked with a wooden spoon*
Top 10 for the FIRST time in ages!
Taking a break from shoveling wet concrete @ Airborne Son’s…
They got the foundation poured on their house today, and the overage is going around the well. Had to get some sacks to finish the job…
Gonna be sore tonight.
Finished my 69th circuit of the sun yesterday, looking forward to however many more circuits the Lord allows me to have. Got to care for the grandgirls while Airborne Son had his back tended to this a.m. Kinda nice to feed ’em breakfast and get waking-up snuggles.
Y’all have a great weekend!
Happy birthday, Graybeard. Many more.
Rats of the Kong to you for another circuit of Ol’ Sol. Imma tad over a year behind you and amblin’ at the mosey heading your way. 29 March of ’18 the Chancre Mechanic gave me 3-5, if I’m lucky. Doing my damndest to prove him wrong. Roger that on the Good Morning snuggles from them Grand Babies…none better. Enjoy them while you can, ’cause as we all find out, they eventually turn into teenagers.
Lost another very close Compatriot, Comrade-in-Arms, and a very Best Friend this week. We plan on a Firing Detail Memorial Service Second to none this Sunday for my Man. RIP Colonel (Ret) Steven L. Smith…you were as good a man as ever tore a cartridge Good Sir.
Prayers that the Great Physician gives you much longer than 3-5, KoB.
Mine just told me last week that tho’ my PSAs are bouncing around a little, they are within a consistent range so no biopsy yet.
And I’m sorry to hear about Colonel (Ret) Smith. May the God of all comfort wrap His arms around his family – blood or other – and fill you all with His Grace.
Happy Birthday Snuggles are the BEST GIFT!!!
Glad to hear from you and you sound happy and well. Keep it that way.
Hugs Dude, NO HOMO!! (LOL!)
CHip
Happy Birthday to you Graybeard. I, too, celebrated another lap around the sun yesterday. My total so far is 63.
Here’s to many many more!!
Happy Birthday to you as well, Txnorsky.
I’ll raise a mug of Shiner Bock to that!
Hey! A couple more Aquarians! You young guys just keep on keepin’ on and you will eventually get as old as some of the rest of us.
(Not gonna brag about how much older than you I am. Just because. Besides, finally had the tooth pulling session with the oral surgeon this morning. A bit out of it still. Soft foods for the next coupla days.)
Congrats to the two youngsters posting about their laps around the sun. Not gonna say how many laps I’ve made, but the Japanese stood on the deck of the USS Missouri four days before my birthday.
Happy Birthday, guys.
Thanks OWB and UpNorth.
My goal is to die at the age of 110 in a backpacking accident bagging a 14-er in Colorado.
But Someone Else is in charge of that.
Just screen captured this from my desktop Stellarium, had to turn the ground off as the sun is still below the horizon. The sun enters Aquarius later this month.
Yeah, the funny thing about astrology is that astronomical progression has moved where the sun is in relation to the different constellations, so that today it is not in the astrological “house” it was in millennia ago.
(And why Polaris is only marking North for a relatively short time.)
Add many years.
Happy Birthday, brother!
50 years ago this past Wednesday I started sucking off the federal government’s teat by visiting the AFEES on Michigan Avenue in Chicago and am still continuing that suckling at half-pay.
Funny thing, I looked up on this Google-Fu thingy to see if the AFEES/MEPS was still operating there, but Alas, no joy in Mudville. But I’m happy to report that part of the building is nowadays being used a steam&cream massage parlor./smile
But Claw Don’t you see, it hasn’t changed.

For you can go there and get *fucked* nice and hard again!!
Maybe you can pay a little extra and see if they have some little old man on staff that will stick his finger in your dookie.
(If you’re into that kinda thing and it’s ok if you are, because, hey, who am *I* to judge?!?!)
I enlisted DEP Airborne Infantry Dec 71 and shipped June 72 via Chicago AFEES. 101st Abn 2 yrs then 2 yrs Berlin before coming down on orders for Recruiting. 3 years recruiting in Aurora, IL (Peoria Recruiting Bn) then 3 years as a Guidance Counselor at the Chicago AFEES (80-83).
The Armed Forces Entrance and Examination Station, now known as the Military Enlistment Processing Station (MEPS) was moved from 9th & South Michigan to 8700 West Bryn Mawr Avenue just off the Kennedy Expressway out by O’Hare Airport.
Well, I tried to make it but was tied up again this week.
Congrats, KoB. You continue to have the magic touch.
Everyone have a great weekend.
My best to everyone and their families.
OK cute overload, 33 year old fruit bat in a Texas bat sanctuary. VERY cute.

Just returned home from watching an Air Force B52 and 2xB1 practice stadium flyover for the Super Bowl. I am always proud seeing our tax dollars (or is it our national debt) at work.
Big Grats KoB!
Was stuck at the port shipping my vehicle out to Korea. Will be able to compete eventually…
Fox cancelled Lou Dobbs. I assume Carlson is next.
They really are suicidal. Oh well.
It’s like they want Trump to start his own network.
What do you do w/ mega tons of junk turbine blades & solar panels? It’s green, so it can be recycled/repurposed into other useful products, right?

The King of Battle is in his usual place – FIRST. I suppose an afternoon away from the old computer was the proper thing to do for the old Commissioner, but … ah, what the heck. How about some trivia? DID YOU KNOW…? Was the 1931 Frankenstein movie monster really as scary as he appeared to be? By Commissioner Wretched Wow, it’s February already! It’s moving too fast. Time, that is. Moving way too fast. Don’t you find, though, that the older we get (and this applies to everybody) the faster time seems to go? I can remember being in school – both elementary and high school – and it seemed that each class hour would drag on endlessly, feeling like never ending torment. And now? It’s almost as if bedtime comes about an hour after I wake up in the morning. It’s going too fast. Maybe one day we can find out why, and that would make a great trivia entry! Speaking of trivia, how about your first February dose? Here ‘tis … Did you know … … elephants only sleep two hours per day? (Well, what else do they have to do?) … every civilization in recorded human history has levied taxes on its people? Even the very first known civilization, the ancient Sumerians, recorded their history of levying and collecting taxes on clay tablets which survive to this day. (Which explains why every civilization has consisted of people who don’t like their governments!) … a popular movie is used in law schools as a teaching aid? “My Cousin Vinny,” the 1992 comedy starring Joe Pesci (born 1943), is very highly regarded in the U.S. legal community. Clips from the film are frequently used in law schools to demonstrate courtroom procedures such as cross examination and voire dire, or the variety of procedures common to jury trials. (“Did you say ‘youts’?”) … advertisers try to manipulate you? Yeah, you already knew that. But one way they do so is called “affective condition,” in which they place their product next to other things consumers feel positively about. The makers… Read more »
Fine and appreciated job once again CW. Do lubs me some Trivia Column. The scientific reason for time flying when you age is due to your memory banks. As you age, you have less “new experiences” V as a young’un when every thing is new. I have a linky below that goes into more detail. Sorry to blow your subject for a new Trivia column, but I had stumbled onto that before when I FIRST started Google Fooing AlGlorebull’s amazing inherwebz.
The FIRST and the LAST President to have the Country debt free. Henceforth, like all of the other history, he is being erased from the $20 bill and replaced with Harriet Tubman. He is considered by many as the most RAYYCCIISS President due to his whiteness, his connection to slavery, and his forced removal of the Natives from their lands.

Jackson was quite the asshole, but he was an asshole who got shit done. Not all of said shit was good, mind you, but he got shit done nonetheless.
Funny how the D-rats refuse to claim him now.
I find it amusing that the Donks want to replace on the $20 the founder of the current “spoils” Donkparty with a pistol-toting Republican like Harriet Tubman.
Oops.
Believe that pen/pencil story is urban legend?
Spent the afternoon rewiring the alternator harness…. MUCH easier than replacing the temperature sensor yesterday.

I remember reading somewhere that Boris Karloff was a fairly nice guy.
“Jesus wept!” is a common refrain from me when witnessing young firefighters perform skills poorly. It goes hand-in-hand with “Did your parents have any children that lived?”
Henry Pratt before that movie. Talk about getting typecast, don’t think he ever landed a “normal” role again.
The Space Pen got the job done, BUT the use of a pencil in a gravity-free Spacecraft leaves graphite dust floating freely which can play hell with the onboards electronics because graphite conducts electricity, just ask any Electrician or Welder!
Lost.
What a joke.
Ever notice how the fat guy never lost any weight on the island?

Hauled yet another load to the storage unit in Yuma today. My son wanted to go this time, we made a father/son road trip out of it. Hit up Sprague’s and Sportsmen’s Warehouse on the way back, where my boy was downright enthralled by all the trophy animals on the walls (Daddy was a bit more enthralled by all the magazine-fed rifles and carbines I will soon be able to buy). The lad also got really interested in the mesa rock formations on the northeast horizon, and I promised him that we’ll drive up that way one of these days and see if we can find a way to hike to the top of them.
Soon the house will be up for sale and, God willing, we’ll be Arizonans within a few more weeks.
Where are you moving from TOW? Until the CCP flu hit, we vacationed every year in northern AZ. Always wondered about living in AZ.
Hoping to have the house on the market by the end of February, hopefully sold by the end of March, with escrow closing by the end of May if all goes well.
My wife really wants to get a custom house built, which will take a while, so we’ll most likely rent something down there during construction.
Other whitey, welcome to Yuma. Great place to live. Check out the Adair range. Might meet you out there!
I’ve been to Adair Range once, and will be there a lot more once we’re moved. I have to teach not only my own four kids, but my two nephews and twelve nieces as well!
Congrats on getting out of Crazyfornia. You get a job lined up in AZ?
PRESENT and Honorary First once again…

Well the 100+ year old wooden, Vermont, covered bridge on my street just had three (3) over height and weight Penske box trucks smash thru it. The first two stopped when # got stuck. COPS UNHAPPY. Their are only three flashing warning signs posted on each side.
Were those three Penske trucks making a delivery for All Points Logistics?
