And so the die is cast….
OK, so in addition to riding the [VV&IVAW] crazy train this week I have been struggling with 2 of my greatest fears. Those who know me well know I am afraid of only 3 things in this entire world: young women, telephone calls and paperwork of any kind. All three of those particular bars of kryptonite give me paralyzing fear.
So, I avoid all three as much as possible generally. Caro is limited to 20 min phone calls, and I almost never do paperwork. But this week, after all the procrastination I could manage I had to finally turned my attention to filing for the bar exam. 67 pages of info and $620 later…..as of 2:12 this afternoon I am scheduled to take said exam on July 28. I asked the guy to move it because I might not be recovered from my birthday the week before, but he kindly informed me that such was impossible. (BTW- The guy who took my Application was a 27 year Air Force retired E9, which somehow made me feel fairly confident it would not get lost.)
So anyway, while I will be posting here, I might be absent a bit more than I have been. I haven’t lost my love of blogging, or immersed myself so much in the world of Azeroth that I am wearing breeches and a hauberk to work. I will most likely merely be studying that huge ball of excitement that is Criminal Procedure. (Assuming that is even on the test, which I have no idea what is on it.)
If anyone out there is a lawyer, or has friends who are lawyers or a lawyer neighbor you can burgle without getting caught (do not try this, and it is not my advice to do so), I am the poorest dude any of you know, so any study aids you could loan would be seriously appreciated. I don’t have the money or the patience to sit in bar prep courses, and thus I will be doing this in my basement dwelling. So, if anyone has law CD’s, practice MBE’s, flashcards, notes, game of hungry hungry hippos you named after Supreme Court Justices or anything else, I would be indebted.
And I included the chick above because she’s kinda hot. I think when I pass I will throw a party and make Caro dress like that. Although it would be much cooler if teh chick was carrying a lightsaber.

Douchenozzle….the Steve that was part of many of our email salvo’s this past election season is a Law dog in DC as we speak. I will ask him for any of his old stuff. Also, I’ll ask him if you can succle at his teet…perhaps you could draw some knowledge out?

TSO – I am a lawyer and have a BUNCH of that bar review stuff including Barbri review materials. It is about 10 years old, but I would be happy to send it to you if you will e-mail me an address. I suppose you can get it from the (will not be published thingy). Also, I will try to be at the funeral next Thursday that the Kansas loons are going to protest so we may be able to hook up there. My partner in crime (who is also going to try to attend the funeral) also has a ton of stuff.

Mind you, I have little doubt you’ll pass. I also see you as one of the ‘good’ congresscritters in a few years.
Should add that before I began this comment I researched Shakespeare, Trillin, et al, for something clever AND funny. But I kept coming back to this.
Is not this a lamentable thing, that of the skin of an innocent lamb should be made parchment? that parchment, being scribbled o’er, should undo a man?
