Code Pink: Help us fight Jesus Obama
The gals at Code Pink aren’t feeling the love these days. Apparently, they’ve decided to take the unpopular position of forcing Obama to withdraw from Afghanistan by trying to convince Congress to vote against the apprpriation bill for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. They were told by Congressman Emanuel Cleaver “Did you know that President Obama is more popular than Jesus Christ?. I didn’t like this bill, but I voted for it. It’s hard to stand up to such a popular president.”
Yeah, all of the reps they talked to were afraid of voting against Obama, but they oppose the war and they encouraged Code Pink to remain pathetic bozos for a lost cause. That’s what passes for principles on the Left, I suppose.

I don’t neccessarily disagree with you dpddj. I TOTALLY agree about Pingree who would be very near the top of my most hated congress persons list. But, Mr Michaud is a really nice guy, and he’s awesome to veterans. Plus, part of me agrees with him regarding Supplemental funding and benchmarks.
Before I get jumped….I want benchmarks so we can prove we are winning. Hell, Harry Reid still hasn’t admitted we won in Iraq. And as for the Supplemental’s, there’s a ton of spending in there that isn’t “emergency spending”. Since Supplemental’s are done off budget, I think it should be only emergency.
But Pingree, yeah, she sucks.
Of course, my Congressman is on the list (capuano)….Massachusetts, oh how I love it!!!
Well, okay, I did send an email to Michaud commending him on a vote a while ago, so for a rookie Dem he perhaps has a chance until the Beltway corrupts him. Pingree – she is poison, and since her daughter Hannah is Speaker of the House here, it will be a long time before we are out from under her cursed liberal agenda. There is one word that fits her, and it is both descriptive as well as part of her.
Mike is an interesting guy too because he is pro gun and pro life, not generally things associated with Dems. Plus, total blue collar guy, worked at a paper mill. The first time Michaud got elected it was a pro life pro dem running against a pro choice anti gun Republican. Never seen that anywhere else, kinda interesting.
Pingree on the other hand ran “Common Cause” which is a lunatic leftist group.
