Seattle Teachers and Students Given Wednesday off to be Sad if Trump Wins

After Donald Trump was announced the winner in the 2016 presidential election, many students, teachers, and even professionals did not take it too well. We saw pictures of Hillary supporters crying.
Then, in the aftermath, we saw things like students hugging puppies, working with coloring books, engaging in arts and crafts, etc. If President Trump wins, we may get a “round two”. Seattle students, teachers, and some workers, are getting tomorrow off in order to be sad in case President Trump wins.

The behavior is reminiscent of the reactions to the Trump victory in 2016. Around the country, students, teachers and administrators turned to the tools of toddlers as a bizarre form of therapy in the wake of Donald Trump’s election. Colleges and universities encouraged students to cry, cuddle with puppies and even sip hot chocolate to soothe their fragile psyches.
Cornell University hosted a “cry-in,” complete with hot chocolate and tissues for disappointed Hillary Clinton supporters. University of Pennsylvania brought in puppies, kittens and coloring books for therapeutic cuddling. Tufts University held arts and crafts sessions for students.
University of Michigan Law School scheduled an event for This Friday called “Post-Election Self-Care With Food and Play” with “stress-busting self-care activities” including coloring, blowing bubbles, sculpting with Play-Doh and “positive card making.”
Students at the University of Michigan held an evening vigil on campus, to mourn the results and some teachers even suspended classes on the assumption that students would be too upset to focus. One professor at Amherst College in Massachusetts recited the Jewish mourner’s prayer, the Kaddish, for their students.

When President Trump’s predecessor got elected and then re-elected, Conservatives like me cussed a little bit, but then went back to life as usual, but then again, we aren’t a bunch of thin-skinned Candyassed wussies like liberals are! We didn’t riot either, we had Tea Party Rallies which were the very definition of a Peaceful Protest, we left wherever we demonstrated cleaner than we found it!

I’ve spoken to a pleasantly-surprising number of people since 2016 who have all wondered how the left can be taken seriously when they act like a bunch of spoiled little bitches who somehow matured backwards from the age of 3. I would challenge any of these students to rattle off 5 or 10 of the civil rights they enjoy now.
Civics went the way of higher math and common English years ago. Just too hard to teach the history of our nation truthfully, in an environment of 1. teachers who want to be paid but not teach and 2. students who are always offended. Who are never expected to do shit except sit there, take their C+ grade for showing up, and then shoved into a society where they are amazed no one will give then $100 grand a year for just showing up.
Telling a kid “you can do and be anything” is great, as long as the system prepares them. But telling them that while admiring their participation trophies has proven to be a non starter.
You -can- do and be anything.

And he will pardon himself for the crimes he committed on office and all prior federal crimes.
He may resign and have pence pardon him when the dust settles and it becomes clear he won’t be able to cling to power.
His most devoted followers will be on YouTube interview crying about his loss. Literally crying. Snot and all. Talking about how socialism has won, God has abandoned us, and how we are all doomed.
We will watch the last convulsive spasms of a political death cult.
