This same person has sworn, claiming to know of my travel habits, when in fact he barely knows his own name, and damned sure doesn’t know where I am at at any given time. He has even sworn that I am a felon, a totally untrue statement, that is further proven untrue by licensing that I carry. Y’all probably wouldn’t know who would do such stupid shit as that, would you?

Well… My Mom’s CT scan on Wednesday came back today as no cancer visible. She has officially beaten breast cancer twice in the last twenty-one years. In that time, it has cost her a breast, a thyroid, and parts of her sternum and ribs. But, she is still here and still kicking ass. So today is a pretty good day
My best wishes to your mother and many more good years to come.

Akpual. First, Hamilton Burger was a prosecutor, so he didn’t have to win. He got paid the same, c/o the taxpayers, whether he won or lost. (He should have taken a job with the VA. He would have rec’d bonuses for losing!) Second, we never heard about Burger’s other cases. Maybe he only lost to Perry, Paul, and Della.

Actually, he “won” more than one but–and here’s the Big Butt–the client was later cleared. So, I guess you could say that Mason lost a couple of cases, temporarily. If so, then Burger lost all of his against Mason permanently.

Got a hard dose of reality about military retirement Delta Dental plan. Got some work done due to periodontal disease & will need bone grafts & implants. The recent bill was $1845, and I had to pay out of pocket $1717 – WTF. Read the policy carefully, and there is quite a bit of “plan does not cover” language. Really, outside annual routine cleanings there is just tons of out of pocket expenses military retirees have to swallow. Just garbage. Military retirement “benefits” – ok whatever man.
Delta Dental is terrible plus no one takes it.
What about the MetLife version?
The Mrs. and I pay more to Delta Dental than to TRICARE. Only reason I keep Delta is for Mrs. HMC’s peace of mind. I don’t think it’s worth the money.

Into the realm of YGBSM, a Memphis newspaper, The Commercial Appeal, has apologized for their front page banner which stated ‘Gunman Targeted Whites’. Apparently people of color and others who are easily offended by facts are protesting. They feel the headline is offensive because 65% of those living in Memphis are people of color. Perhaps if people of color constituted only, say, 45% of the population, the headline would be acceptable. I’m thinking there would be no public outcry if a white person had shot 12 black police officers and the headline stated ‘Gunman Targeted Blacks’. Take your meds and read at your own peril.

Newspaper article states 65%. Going by their numbers. I was stationed there (Millington) 77-81 and people of color were in the majority in Memphis proper if memory serves. Millington, if I recall, was predominately white with a large population of AD and retired military. It was my favorite duty station. How are US-based criminal organizations dismantled? This isn’t a trick question. The US has, for years now, tried the same approach to Islamo-terrorism with no lasting success. The oBaMa regime regards terrorism as crime and sees terrorists as criminals, misguided lambs who lost their way. Overseas, drones splat this terrorist leader or that one and it’s heralded as a win by the regime. A week or two later, scores are killed by a retaliatory suicide bomber. And this routine or some variation of it becomes, well, routine. The error, the assurance of overall failure of this strategy, is rooted in the belief that these Islamo-terrorist organizations can be dismantled piecemeal. They can’t. It’s a losing, deadly game of whack-a-mole. Hammer one and another pops up. Then there are the special terrorists who have succeeded in Europe and the US without benefit of any organizational structure at all. These, the so-called lone wolves, are sometimes caught in the prep stage of their planned deed by advertising themselves in some fashion on social media, which the FBI monitors. There is no structured organization to dismantle, no capi tuti capi, no grand wizard, and no drug lord. Individuals make the personal decision to kill innocents in furtherance of their religion. They can’t be caught if they don’t screw up and will get wiser as more and more of them refrain from social media statements and YouTube dissertations and just do what they intend without fanfare. I don’t have the answers. Unfortunately, neither does US leadership.
