The “People’s Voice of Las Vegas?” Well, Maybe Not.

| May 1, 2020

There is a radio station in Las Vegas that is named “Las Vegas Public Radio”. It bills itself as the “People’s Voice of Las Vegas.”

Both the station’s name and catchphrase are rather misleading.

First: in spite of their name, the station is NOT in any way affiliated with NPR.

And second: the station is in fact registered as a lobbyist for Huawei Technologies. Huawei Technologies is a PRC-based telecommunications firm that is regarded by both the current Administration and many other national security experts as a potentially significant espionage threat to US national security.

Las Vegas Public Radio began broadcasting in 2016. They have had Chinese nationals as “international liasons” since they began broadcasting.

They formally registered as a lobbyist for Huawei in 2019. Since then (and perhaps even before), the station has also been a reliable conduit for pro-PRC propaganda.

Mere coincidence? Decide for yourself.

Oh, and did I mention that the station’s founder claims it is funded in part by Nevada taxpayers?

The Washington Free Beacon has published a fairly detailed article concerning Las Vegas Public Radio. IMO it’s worth your time to read it.

“Mere coincidence?” Oh. hell. no! Before y’all read the article linky, take another blood pressure pill…you’ll need it.

Just as the stated purpose of the Mooslem religion is to convert/kill the infidel, so is the stated purpose of the Chinese Communist Government to destroy us and our way of life.

Shhhhh. Here comes Beetlejuice with his, “empirical evidence.”

A Proud Infidel®™

Speaking of the empty wagon, where is his “Empirical Evidence” that China isn’t communist?

I must admit I’m relieved to know Las Vegas Public Radio is NOT affiliated with NPR.

The best radio broadcast to ever originate in Nevada was Coast to Coast AM with the late, great Art Bell, who was a Air Force veteran and son of two Marines.

Hack Stone

Art Bell, broadcaster for NPR, National Paranoid Radio. Every topic discussed was a vast conspiracy. Hack remembers one particular episode where he had a “psychic” as a guest. He asked the “psychic” what predictions he made that came true. “I predicted that San Francisco would beat San Diego in The Super Bowl”. It was at that point that Hack Stone realized that he was psychic, too.

ArmyATC

During quiet times in the tower, we’d turn on Art Bell for laughs. He never ceased to amuse.

Comm Center Rat;
If you listened to Art Bell, then you must have listened to the Long John Nebel Candy Jones show. I remember Art had a former Mil guy on the show talking about the Mil studying remote viewing.

OWB

No surprise, sadly.

Huawei Technologies is a PRC-based telecommunications firm “experienced” explosive growth shortly after Nortel, a Canadian based telecommunications firm (that was at one point Cisco’s primary rival) imploded after a long term compromise from China based “hackers”. Huawei apparently went on to hire boatloads of ex-Nortel folks….

Huawei apparently entered into a “partnership” with Motorola. That ended up in “lawfare” using the US Court systems.

Huawei did not just compromise Nortel, they literally stole the company as well as all their designs and manufactured them, dumping these systems on market at far below market price for such system (particularly light wave systems).

this was done by placing China educated PhDs and engineers within Nortel. They then stole everything and flew back to China with actual paper copies of designs down to the brand name stamping on the boxes.

I was building a cable station for a new fiber system in India back in 2004 when I first ran into this company. The company rep had PLA written all over him….they might as well have tattooed it on his forehead (ok, he had a five head). The optical switch the client bought was an exact duplicate of the Nortel DX system down to the NORTEL stamps on the structural components inside the bay.

We took dozens of photos and sent them back to our own labs to warn them of this type of theft.

I don’t know what the fallout for my company was exactly, but all of my engineer POCs at the lab changed within a month.

I have seen counterfeit Cisco in the used market. Additionally, Leupold has a fight on there hands with crap copies with all the trademarks duplicated:

Was at an early Cyber Conference where LEO agent gave a presentation about a small tool/die company that had an employee bribed by a China Operative to copy IP including blueprints, and proprietary manufacturing methods. Long story short, the Company lost what was a commanding market share, and went under. The employee was charged, but not sure what the outcome was.
The IP theft occurred in the late 90’s, and no Cyber involved….
Been at war with China for a long time……

I wonder what other cheapshit stunts of theirs we’ll find out about next?

Communist CHINA sucks.
Communism SUCKS.

Combat Historian

You give the chicoms an inch, and they’ll subvert and take over your whole country. Can’t say it often enough; long past time to reestablish our strategic and diplomatic alliance with our loyal friends and partners the Free Chinese on Taiwan, and flush ALL chicom influence from our country…

Fjardeson

Amen! We need to do our OWN manufacturing. I’m sick and tired of seeing “Made in China” on every damn thing I want to buy. Well, not buying any more. If it comes from a Communist s**thole, it stays on the shelf.

I miss the days when stores took pride in having merchandise MADE IN THE USA! I remember when Wal Mart in the days when Sam Walton was alive, would have placards hanging from the ceiling of their stores featuring new products made here, “Product XYZ now sold here, made in [City, State]”

Mason

This article implies that actual NPR isn’t a mouthpiece for communist propaganda.
