Trump Unveils New Space Force Logo…
Poetrooper sends us President Trump’s new Space Force logo, inflaming trekkies everywhere. I dislike the reference to the Chair Force, and think it should be part of the Navy Department. Like Star Trek was.*grin* Just don’t issue red jerseys.
They say plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery. I must admit some test plans I’ve penned looked rather familiar, but I suppose Joe Biden is the expert in that area.
Wonder if this will be the official Space Force Anthem?

In the voyage to the final frontier there is a wave of ridicule being directed toward President Trump who unveiled the U.S. Space Force logo on Friday afternoon.
“After consultation with our Great Military Leaders, designers and others, I am pleased to present the new logo for the United States Space Force, the Sixth Branch of our Magnificent Military!” Trump tweeted.
Welp, it appears as though many of those great leaders “and others” were likely — even if subconsciously — influenced by Star Trek because the design of its signature image is nearly identical.
“THIS IS THE STARFLEET LOGO!” The New York Times reporter Sopan Deb was quick to text-shout on Twitter.
“THE U.S. GOVERNMENT TOOK A THING FROM A TV SHOW AND MADE IT THE OFFICIAL EMBLEM OF A BRANCH OF THE MILITARY,” he continued.
Lighten up, Francis. Read the rest of the article here: NPR

And in anticipation of the giggling question:
No, ol’ Poe does not read or follow NPR in any way, shape or form. This came from a link at American Thinker. 😛
Sure Poe. Anything you say, buddy.
Your story Poe. Stick with it…I’ll keep checking the mailbox for that check too.
Love you no shit, check is in the mail, and the Duty Driver is on the way, Sir.
S-2 says “good weather for the field exercise”.
The General will only be speaking for ten minutes.
Sigh…
George Takei is all butt hurt over it…
I thought he was into that sort of thing…
George Takei was and still is quite a Space Cadet. Come to think of it, isn’t that what you’d call someone in Officer Training for the Space Force?
I think we can count on that one.
Will they also field a football team?
So if the Space Force had a CID, then wouldn’t their investigations be referred to as “Space Cases”?
No surprise, of course. As others have said, some folks would accuse Trump of putting docs out of work if he discovered the cure for cancer. That those who refuse to be pleased by anything he does should find fault with this? Oh, just grow up little whiners.
And hurting your widdle feewings is still not an impeachable offense. But ya did it anyway. Oh, well. You just may come to regret that decision. And, no, the design of this emblem is not impeachable either.
They had to impeach him. He -wins-.
If other Republicans start playing to -win-, the proggies will be out on their asses.
Honestly it a copy of the Air Forces Space Command Logo that was developed in the 1980’s. It is a TDS thing. A quick google search and….

It’s based on existing designs. The US Space Command logo was based on the AF Space Command Logo which took inspiration from the NASA “meatball” logo and official NASA seal. It’s pretty much exactly what one would expect the seal to look like if you know what the lineage of prior units entails.
But where in rational review of facts is the opportunity for over-the-top “orange man bad” Hate?
What’s the maximum prior service age for this here Space Force?
I’m approaching 49.
Should be the same as with all the other services. As long as you can attain 20 years of creditable service for retirement purposes before reaching age 60 (provided you can pass an induction physical), you should be good to go as a prior service applicant.

Will the Space Force barracks have co-ed showers as shown in the movie Starship Troopers?
Should exceed enlistment goals if they do.
