Windham homeowner holds suspect in chase at gunpoint for police
Daniel Wayne Spooner, 34, is accused of eluding a police officer, leaving the scene of a personal injury crash and endangering the welfare of a child.
A Windham homeowner held a fugitive at gunpoint Friday morning until police arrived and arrested him.
The homeowner, whom police did not identify, found Daniel Wayne Spooner, 34, who allegedly fled police after a high-speed chase Thursday night, hiding in a shed on the property at Otter Brook Farm at about 8 a.m. Friday.
Spooner was taken to Cumberland County Jail in Portland without incident.
He is alleged to have led officers on a high-speed chase, with a child in his car, that ended in a crash on River Road on Thursday night.

SAPD: Man shot while trying to run over security guard with vehicle
The man was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.
SAN ANTONIO — A man is fighting for his life after being shot in the head, and the shooting is the fallout from a fight at a nightclub, San Antonio Police said.
The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on the city’s northeast side.
Police said the couple was arguing at a club when a security guard broke them up. The guard then offered to drive the woman to another location to avoid further altercations.
The man followed the security guard and the woman down I-35. The guard pulled over on 35 and 410 West Bound Ramp.

Gunfire reported Thursday night outside Lansing Hooter’s

Lansing police responded Thursday night to reports of shots fired at a Hooter’s restaurant on Torrence Avenue.The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. and initial reports were that gunfire occurred both inside and outside the restaurant located at 17060 Torrence Ave.
But officers later learned that the shooting only happened in the parking lot when an unknown person started shooting at two people leaving the restaurant.
One of the victims had a concealed carry permit and returned fire, according to police.

That guy who got shot in the head would have been better off and ahead of being shot in the head if he didn’t try and drive ahead and try and run over the security guard whom was ahead of the game and ended up shooting the guy in the head. Gee, what a head line.
