Conflict With Reality

Impeachment hearing testimony conflicts with reality, per Military Times.

From the article:  Christopher Anderson, a U.S. foreign service officer, testified before lawmakers that Trump had ordered the Black Sea patrols be canceled after seeing a report on CNN about the U.S. naval movements in the contentious waters in January.

But those patrols were never canceled and they have remained consistent under Trump’s tenure in the White House. The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer Ross patrolled the Black Sea in December, making it the eighth time a U.S. warship visited the Black Sea in 2019. – article

So the patrols have never stopped. They’ve been going on consistently since 2016.  Anderson lied.

I hope this simple fact comes up during the impeachment trial, if that occurs. Conflicting testimony from a FS desk jockey and someone in the know ought to have some impact, right?

Of course, if quizzed about it, Anderson will probably flabbergast his way out of it. It’s what those people do.

Also, there is this:  Stars and Stripes first reported that the U.S. Navy Black Sea patrols were never canceled.

    Patrols ordered cancelled?
    Show me those orders.
And in today’s world of “CYA”, verbal without written don’t cut it.
Put up or shut up. Otherwise you’re just another talking asshole that deserves a sound spanking (x2) and being stood in the corner with your nose to the wall for at least an hour.

Order, what order, we don’t need any stinking order.

These Freedom of Navigation operations challenge overreaching maritime claims in both the Black Sea and the South China Sea, to name a couple. They are an important part of US international policy, and it’s no coincidence they started in 2016 and continue to this day.
Nothing says you care like a US warship in your pond, or an overflight of a BUFF or two.

My Pa was an EW on BUFFs, retired in ’68. The last BUFF rolled off the line just before I did in 1962. I daresay they’re in better condition than I am!

Was Anderson under oath when he testified? I can’t wait to see what other shit will be unearthed in that whorehouse of a sham impeachment.

That picture of the guided missile destroyer Carney in the Black Sea must be fake news.

Seems to me we’ve had ships in the Black Sea for quite a long time now. If I recall, there was that bumping incident a while back….

The BUFF is like a lot of us used-to-be’s: Yeah, I’m older and I’m slower, but I can damn sure shoot straight, sometimes better than I used to.

^THIS^ Spot on SgtBob. Be aware of the non-descript fellow just ambling along at the mosey. He will hurt you in ways that you haven’t considered. Age and experience will overcome youthful exuberance; every.damn.time!

Nothing like being the obvious sharp, pointy end of the stick. Nothing like having floating long distance artillery in somebody else’s pond. Backed up by some REALLY long range aerial artillery platforms.

To the left, vantage point, first-hand knowledge versus burger chomping soda sipping desk jockey’s non-first-hand knowledge, doesn’t matter. What makes them feel good determines what’s hard fact and what isn’t.

What are our critical national interests in the Black Sea? At a time when the Navy is whining about overcommitments and lack of money I don’t see why we couldn’t forego twisting the Kremlin’s nose in this case.

The progs will make up any lie about Trump and even testify to it under oath. It is like they know there is no penalty for perjury for them. So now this is just another example of perjury against Trump in their fake impeachment proceedings.

IMHO Washington DC has been a filthy whorehouse for many a decade and the election of Donald J. Trump to the Office of POTUS has exposed that.
