ANSWER March on the Pentagon
Since the sixth anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq War was the other day, ANSWER and it’s assorted affiliates of beggars, drama queens and ne’er-do-wells picked today out of the air to hold their March on the Pentagon.
Brian Becker, the national coordinator for ANSWER said it’s important because it’s the first anti-war protest in the Post-Bush Era. So here’s the photos

There was a contingent of Free Republic on the route to the Pentagon. There were also GOE folks guarding the Vietnam Wall and I kick myself for not taking their pictures. But here’s the FReepers;

Now TSO and I moved away from the FReepers, but this brave fellow, ya know with the mask and separated from us by two snow fences started calling us names. Then he tried to tell us he is a Marine who “defected”;

Folks are asking for crowd estimates – if ANSWER says more that 3,000 people were there, they’re nuts.

Haha, the Iraq flag at IVAW still has the three stars on it (which is no longer the official one). The three stars represented the tenets of the Ba’ath party (which is obviously why they were removed in 2008). Why does IVAW support the Saddam’s Ba’ath party?

The director of the Congressional Budget Office today updated his projections for the budget and economic outlook and is now anticipating a $1.8 trillion deficit this year, and $1.4 trillion in 2010.
This is up from CBO director Douglas W. Elmendorf’s January 2009 projection of a $1.2 trillion deficit this year. In short, the US government is borrowing 50 cents for every dollar it spends.
The new projected deficit is four times the 2008 deficit, which was a record high for its time.
