Mike Frizzell
A man is dead after police say he attempted to rob a Boost Mobile store on Monday evening.Overland Park Police say they were called to the store at 7620 Metcalf Avenue about 7:45 p.m. after receiving a report of shots being fired inside the store.
“Right now, we’re looking at an attempted robbery,” Officer John Lacy told media at the scene.
Lacy says the suspect apparently entered the store armed with a gun and demanded phones. When the suspect jumped the counter, the store manager pulled his gun and fired a single shot, hitting the suspect, Lacy said.
“We’re going to review the videotape,” Lacy said. “The cameras don’t lie.”

Heading into mid-week, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, and the score stands at two well ventilated former criminals, and at least one in the wind- seems he recalled someplace else he needed to be, and was last seen heading there at a rapid clip.

“Once he gained entry into the house he was shot”
Excellent example of remaining calm and waiting for them to cross the threshold of death.
If you shoot through the door you will be in big trouble. Also, position yourself so a thru and thru round embeds in a wall thus proving they were “inside” the house of death.
Depends on where you live. In Texas, you don’t have to wait for them to cross the threshhold.
I like that Boost manager’s shooting style. One shot, one kill. Good shooting!
Store Manager BOOSTED his score on pistol quals and made a dirt bag non mobile. And that, boys and girls, is how it’s done!
Tulsa homeowner shows us how it is NOT done. Range time Dippy, you’re wasting ammo.
Jayvem (sigh) Thought it was deja vu all over again, this dude done got hisself a 3 pete. Sat, Sun, and Wed. Dahell? Then I re-read today’s post seeing the update on no charges for the homeowner. I’ll just be over yonder, making and imbibing more coffee.

Boosted his score./Groan.
Instead of the perp trying to rob the Boost store, he could have just Boosted (shoplifted) a phone or two and would still be alive and that’s no Jive-Know what I mean Jellybean.
How heavy is a silencer compared with the weight of the PPK?
The Ruger Silent-SR is 6.3 ounces
https://ruger.com/micros/silent-sr/index.html
The PPK/S is 23.6 ounces

Looked into a silent-sr when they came out but the hassle was beyond my personal code.
NFA rules apply.
I have no financial interest in either firm.
Always treat every firearm as if loaded.
Do you know where your kid is?
No excuse for Veteran abuse…………….
Basically the same rules as buying a full auto, months of paperwork and delay capped by a $200 tax stamp.
Looking at how a suppressor is actually constructed, I figure every $700 unit is about $25 in material costs and $75 in labor at the most: there are some lovely profits in them. Kind of like why Detroit pushed everyone to trucks and SUVs… more margin.
Avoid crowds……
That is a PPK/Shhhhhhh
Gotta share this one.
Mugshot is of note.

Gotta wonder if he even remembers what happened to him.
Also wonder why he knew that there was a six year old girl in the home.
Too bad the Dad didn’t have a handy crow bar, claw hammer, baseball bat or .357 handy.
Now that’s what they call “beaten about the face”
“No excuse for Veteran abuse”, does this include self-abuse?
If so, I disagree, about twice a day.
No, what you are describing is homeopathic therapy.
