Marvin claims moon

And if Nancy Pelosi weren’t so obvious about it, she wouldn’t look quite so silly. An article in the local fishwrap this morning has Miss Nancy ginning up to impeach Pres. Trump. Period. All sorts of things follow, but the gist of it is that she wants to impeach him. Whilst she is “damping down” the urging from other members of the House to impeach Pres. Trump, the spark has already been lit and her disclaimer  (“I will pray for him” – uh, what?) is hollow. The claim that “he stalked out” is also hollow, because he simply broke off discussions, and left quietly, and it was broadcast on live TV.

She might have been doing her homework, with an eye to using any means of getting The Donald out of the White House so that she can have that seat.  Why? Because there is a specific line of succession included for the purpose of replacing the President if he is removed from office.

Here is the background information about the line of succession for the President and Vice President of the United States, hot off the internet.

Presidential Succession:
Article 2, Section 1, Clause 6, Constitution of the United States: In Case of the Removal of the President from Office, or of his Death, Resignation, or Inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office, the Same shall devolve on the Vice President, and the Congress may by Law provide for the Case of Removal, Death, Resignation or Inability, both of the President and Vice President declaring what Officer shall then act as President, and such Officer shall act accordingly, until the Disability be removed, or a President shall be elected.

In the case that the president can no longer serve, the Vice President would serve as President.  (But wait, there’s more!)

If the Vice President cannot serve, the line of succession falls to the Speaker of the House, then to the Senate president pro tempore, then to Cabinet members.

And who is the Speaker of the House right now? Who got her gavel back and grinned broadly while she cuddled it like a lost pussy?  I know she has that babbling, bumbling speech pattern down to a finely patterned presentation, but anyone who can snag her gavel and return to her prized position as Speaker is not, in my view, even close to the public mope persona that she presents.

Oh, you don’t think this is likely? Stranger things have happened in Foggy Bottom, and we all know it.

I may go to the local OTB to find out what the over and under might be on this.

“cuddled it like a lost pussy”

Your definition of that term, and that of IDC/SARC (and nearly all males, for that matter.) may differ. End result is still the same, however.

  2. Commissar says:

It is clear Nancy does not want to impeach Trump. She wants him on the Republican ticket next year. He has been the best thing to happen to democratic enthusiasm, voter affiliation, democrat turnout, and candidate fundraising in decades.

Impeaching Trymp is pointless until his base begins to abandon him. The cowardly and feckless republicans in the senate will not vote for impeachment until his base relents.

So all impeachment will do is pass the house and fail in the senate. Trump will then lie to the American people claiming he was “exonerated” by the impeachment process just likes he is lying when he claims the Mueller report exonerated him.

However, Trump is an idiot. And his tantrums and blanket obstruction of all efforts by congress to conduct oversight of the executive branch is forcing Pelosi to consider impeachment since and impeachment proceeding will sweep away much of the legal arguments the Trump team is using to obstruct.

That being said so far the Trump team is losing these arguments in the courts so Pelosi may not need to push for impeachment.

In addition there are several investigation at the state level and several other federal investigation on the Trump family that may lead to results that finally cause his cult like supporters to wake the f up and abandon him.

Isn’t is amazing, how he is not only blind to the mendacity of the news media in general, but also to everything else in the real world?

Consistency is everything with that one.

You think you could actually show where what I said is false.

Technically I only have to show one of my statements is true for you to be false.

I go with the most obvious one; Trump claims the Mueller report exonerated him. It literally explicitly does not. I mean the Mueller report itself literally and explicitly says that it does exonerate Trump.

I told you all it was too soon to celebrate when the report came out and the dipshit in chief claimed it exonerated him.

I was proven right. The Mueller report is devastating and makes it clear his campaign had hundreds of unethical and questionable contacts with Russian Oligarchs and Russian state operatives. It also explicitly says he committed twelve acts of obstruction. Eight of which meet every element necessary for indictment and prosecution if he was not the president.

Every time you use the word “technically” Lars, we know that your pulling another fact or three out of your rectum…

        • SFC D says:

You keep using the word “exonerate”. I do not think it means what you think it means.

          https://definitions.uslegal.com/e/exoneration/

“Exoneration refers to a court order that discharges a person from liability. In criminal context the term exonerate refers to a state where a person convicted of a crime is later proved to be innocent.”

And yes, I am fully aware of the fact that Trump also uses the term incorrectly in a legal sense.

      • Commissar says:

You guys have convinced yourself you won in 2018 haven’t you?

Democrats won the national popular vote by eight points. And that was largely an anti-Trump vote and Trump was not even on the ticket.

If he is on the ticket in 2020 it will be a crushing defeat for the GOP.

Of course you don’t realize how bad losing the popular vote by eight points is because republicans have not won the popular vote in 30 years.

        • USMC Steve says:

Wrong answer Lars. Several left leaning outfits including NPR investigated, and concluded substantial election fraud on the Hildabeast’s part. She lost on both popular and electoral college votes after the felons, wetbacks, and dead were removed from the voting pool.

          Fuck, you are deluded.

        • 11B-Mailclerk says:

When they play the World Series, no one cares about your Fantasy Baseball.

No “popular” election for president has ever been held, so no one “wins” those. Only the Electoral College vote is real, and only it matters.

And you know all that, so your statement is thus deliberately false.

          Again, SAEDAA-gull. Again.

Australian pollsters were wrong about their recent election. It’s looking like the Brexit party is going to sweep Britain.

The best economy in years here, a President who is unapologetically pro-American in every way (raising wages, ensuring people hire those legally allowed to work, etc.), unemployment at record lows, he signed prison reform, and the list goes on. He’s got plenty to show. Imagine if the media wasn’t 90% negative coverage of him.

Trump is shaping up to be a landslide winner in 2020. Especially if the DNC put up some loon like Bernie or Biden, a man who’s never been right. Both of whom despite decades in Washington with nothing to show for it are now making promises. So now, after years and years of being a useless seat-filler you’re going to get down to business and fix things?

When it comes to Trump, even leftists are admitting that he’s the first president to KEEP his promises. Disturbing that it’s a surprise, but that’s where we’ve come as a country.

        • Ret_25X says:

Lars, no one has “won” the popular vote since 1988. Which I define as 50+% of the vote.

Also, you are incorrect about the 2018 election.

Now that “collusion” is exposed to be the nothing burger some of us always knew it to be (and I remember your delirious statement that you “knew” the facts), the real “collusion” story begins.

I’m not going to be surprised if that ends up indicting several hundred of your Kommie Komrades.

What you no longer liberal leftists don’t get is that many of us who don’t really like Trump actually do like the USA and actually don’t what to live in Kaleefornya shithole despotisms. We realize that the compromise candidate is Trump because your side has nothing. Nothing. NOTHING.

          • NHSparky says:

Small point of correction. Bush won with 50.7 percent in 2004, and both times Obama was elected it was with >50%.

That being said, Lars and his fellow useful idiots know that, and that’s one reason why they’ve put so much effort into getting rid of the EC.

Too bad that it’ll never work…(wink)

I, for one, am sick of wasted investigations on a millionaire that was duly elected President. I want to see some investigations on elected officials that became millionaires.

I don’t see President Trump’s base deserting him. What I see is the more the worthless, self serving, egotistical, power hungry congress critters keep obstructing fixing the country’s problems, the more people are going to join together with the band.
