Lake County prowler killed by homeowner listed occupation as ‘Theif’ on Facebook

PINE LAKES – A homeowner in the Pines Lakes area of east Lake County shot and killed a man who detectives believe was in the middle of an ambitious burglary spree in the neighborhood.According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a report early Tuesday morning of a burglary in progress at a residence at 40724 Dee Street, which is about five miles east of Paisley and 12 miles northeast of Eustis.
The homeowner told deputies he had been staying across the street at his father’s house while his own home was being renovated. The man called 911 about midnight to report an intruder, but deputies found no one and left. The man then decided to return to his empty house in case the prowler returned.
About 5 a.m., he heard a noise outside by his shed, went outside and confronted the prowler. A struggle ensued, and the homeowner shot the prowler, officials said.

Registered sex offender shot twice by homeowner during home invasion
ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WITN) – Police in one Eastern Carolina city say a registered sex offender from New Bern was shot after he broke into a home early this morning.
Elizabeth City police say it happened in the 400 block of Bell Street around 6:30 a.m.
They say Tyrell Johnson came into the home through a back door and was confronted by the homeowner who ended up shooting him twice.
The 38-year-old man drove himself to Albemarle Sentara Hospital, according to police. Johnson was transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he’s in fair condition.

Prosecutor: Woman who shot, killed robber was ‘clearly justified’

CINCINNATI — No charges will be filed against a West Price Hill store owner who shot and killed an alleged robber, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said Thursday, adding that she was “clearly justified.”The incident took place on Jan. 23, when Cincinnati police were called to the Glenway Pony Keg on Glenway Avenue for reports that someone had tried to rob the store.
Deters said that the store owner shot and killed a gunman who pointed a gun in her face during a robbery.
“As long as I’ve been prosecutor, I’ve said this repeatedly: If you go into a store with a gun and rob it, you forfeit the right not be shot,” Deters said.
The prosecutor showed video of the incident, in which the gunman entered the store, went behind the counter and demanded money from the store owner.

On a different subject, for what it’s worth, no special stamps or endorsements are needed in Texas to shoot registered sex offenders. Spotlighting is OK as long as you have the landowner’s permission. Happy hunting.

Oh goody, I can see the stories coming out on the “Theif” now, tears and people saying how good of a boy he was but he could not get a good job and turned to any way he could to support his family. Could it be that the the job applications he filled out are like “I does be a Greduate of Huh Skul.” Some of these women folk in this world need to stay out of the bars every night or off the streets, hoping to hit on Dave or A1 or even Hondo and stay home and try to help with your kids education as you might also get one too. As for the guys, maybe what is waiting for you at home takes that extra 2 or 3 dozen cases of beer to face what ever is waiting, look on the bright, things could be worse, there are a couple of living humans that every night have to go home and live and (oh darn, now I’m going to have nightmares) sleep with Mrs P of Mrs wannabe Native American. Maybe if you had done that there would not have been a bullet with your child’s name on it.
I wonder if the guy in the hospital who was transported across state lines will have to be extradited?
