‘He was going to go after me’ | Rancho Cordova man kills burglary suspect, deputies say
Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies say the property supervisor shot and killed the burglar as he was making his way back to the living space of the building.
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a property supervisor reportedly shot and killed a burglary suspect overnight.
According to Sgt. Amar Gandhi with the sheriff’s office, it happened around 2 a.m. Sunday along the 10000 block of Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova.
Gandhi said a burglar made their way into the building while the supervisor was in the back in a living space. As the alleged burglar approached the living space, the property supervisor shot him.
Robert, the property supervisor, told ABC10 that he was in the back room with his two grandchildren when everything happened.
“When my boy woke me up and said, papa, ‘wake up,’ somebody’s in the front room. And I’m like, ‘What?’ And when I got up, I saw a light and there’s a glass window back there in our door and I could see a light,” Robert said.
He said he fired after the burglar kicked open the door.
“It was that quick, boom, boom. That’s the only time you have to think. And, if he would have left, I would have just called the police and lived with a broken window and broken door. But he didn’t leave. He was going to go after me.”
The alleged burglar made his way to the parking lot, collapsed and died.
“I wish the guy wouldn’t have come in. I wish he didn’t die, but I don’t want to die either. I want to live for my grandbabies,” Robert said.
No arrests have been made at this time. The shooting is under investigation.

BZ, Grandad. Robert did everything right- and then he spoke to the press. Thanks again, Gun Bunny.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

A case of FAFO.
The Philly perp got his foot nailed to the floor. Hopefully the “nail” didn’t penetrate any vital mechanic bus parts.
And I’m glad to read that more people are taking to heart The Four Esses, especially the Fourth Ess, “Shut Up”. And the best way to Shut Up is to not be around when the po-po come to ask questions.
That description of the shooter fits over half the Philly population. Good luck finding him if he decides to go “gray man”. Even if someone knew who the shooter is, I’m thinking they wouldn’t turn him in to the local po-po. More likely buy him a round at the local bar after work.
Another case of FAFO. Along with poor victim selection skills.
If you have to talk to the po-po, make sure yours is the only story told.
Filthy-Dell-Fia perp won’t be doing The Texas Two Step for awhile. And a smart move on the shooter to beat feet outta there.
Being a Grand Papa meownself, I can totally relate to the citizen putting down a dirtbag threatening him and his. I gave my two Grands an extry hug when I got here yesterday.
The Socialists should share a multi person scaffold.
