DALLAS (KTVT/CNN) Saturday marks the sixth anniversary of the death of former Navy Seal Chris Kyle.

Kyle developed a deadly reputation as a sniper during his five combat tours in Iraq.

He wrote about his experience in the best-selling book, “American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History.”

The book was later turned into the movie, “American Sniper.

Kyle was also known for his support of fellow vets suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome and an outspoken opponent of gun control.

He was 38 years old when he was shot to death in 2013 by a former Marine at a Texas gun range.

Another man was also fatally shot.

I simply could not believe this when I heard the news.  Hard to believe it has been 6 years.  RIP warrior!

I think we all were stunned when Chad Littlefield and Chris Kyle were murdered by that meltdown, Routh.

A pity he’s serving life instead of a much more suitable sentence.

I think of this Warrior every time I see or hear a POSer, lying sack of shit, embellishing, no good scumbag, dickwad trying to claim Glory and stealing Honor. Each and every POS that claims to be a SEAL should be rucked up and dropped (HANO) into a hot LZ. If they are that shit hot, they should be able to do an Airborne Roll, survive the HANO, take out the bad guys, and blow all of the hot air out their ass to jet pack back to the world.

I hope that his widow and baby girl are doing well. I’m with you Steve. Doesn’t seem like 6 years. Sister showed me a fakebook post that showed the funeral procession. 12 miles long.

Such a tragedy. Sad to see good people go out horribly before their time.

Chris has a great rep in the NSW community.

And so few will ever tell of the time the Chief connected a former GOV after said former GOV implied NSW needed to loose a few.

This happen at a venue we all go to and is connected to a much lager community.

Chris was a good guy, great Sailor, inspirational Chief and legendary NSW warrior.

I too, still teach PUNCH and RUN.

It is very effective knowing all witnesses have your back.

If by ‘connected’ you mean the GOV received a vivid learning experience, Master Chief, I’d have paid good money to spectate that connection. Glad that asshat’s lawsuit on a hero’s widow blew up in his face.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday said it won’t hear arguments brought on behalf of former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura against the estate of slain Navy SEAL and “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle, leaving a lower court’s dismissal of a $1.8 million defamation verdict.

Mr. Ventura, a pro wrestler-turned-politician, sued his fellow former SEAL in 2012 after a section in Kyle’s best-selling book contained an excerpt concerning an altercation said to have happened six years earlier inside a California bar.

Ventura was never a Navy SEAL. He was just UD.

I am still convinced smarmy Jimmy shot off his cockholster and was punched by Chris. Plus, I wouldn’t believe anything the fake wressler said if he was standing on a stack of Bibles in a thunderstorm holding a lightning rod, screaming “if I’m lying may God strike me dead.”

“I saw NOTHING”, said all in attendance.

The few witnesses who did SEE, are national treasures (GOLD) and I believe everything.

Off the record accounts are priceless.

I remember seeing one of those memes with the caption reading “that’s cute.” One had a picture of Kyle stating his number of kills and the other was some guy from Finland they called the White Death (I can’t be bothered to remember his name) who had the “that’s cute” caption basically making fun of Kyle because Kyle got his own movie and has less kills than the other guy didn’t (if the person who made it wants a movie that bad then why can’t some studio in Finland make it since that was during the Winter War which the US was not involved in). It honestly made my blood boil. Whoever made it also said Kyle was in the US Army when Kyle was clearly Navy. Any thoughts on this?

Plenty of propaganda about him. The Finns were quite adept at it. But even half the lowest alleged totals are sobering.

The Finns did fight the Red Army to a standstill. That required epic slaughter. Simo Häyhä was epic by Finnish standards.

The Ruskies were out of their element. The Finns could ski and shoot, the Russians not so much.

USMC Steve

The Finns did so well because the Russian army was using inferior gear, and was not prepared for the campaign. Most of its senior officers had been murdered by Stalin’s folks or gulag’ed. Believe it or not, they were not even prepared for a winter campaign. Some wonder why the Brewster F2A Buffalo did so well in Finnish hands, but American and British pilots got hammered in it. The reason was because the Russian pilots were flying crap and were not very good at their business.

Came the Continuation War and the Finns had a much harder time of it towards the end.
